For the first time in decades, people in Europe and North America have been forced to contend with the harsh consequences of rapid inflation. That\u2019s meant higher grocery bills, wages that don\u2019t stretch as far<\/a> and savings that lose value. For some, it\u2019s meant choosing between heating their homes and putting food on the table<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In those major developed economies, there are signs of relief<\/a>. Prices are still rising, but at a slower clip, as aggressive interest rate hikes dampen activity. Energy prices are pulling back because of fears of a global recession, and the price to ship a container across the ocean has plummeted<\/a>. These factors are easing inflationary pressures.<\/p>\n

In the United States, consumer prices rose at an annual rate of 7.1%<\/a> in November, the smallest increase since December 2021. Prices rose by 10.7% in the United Kingdom last month, down from 11.1% in October, according to data published Wednesday.<\/p>\n

But even if this bout of inflation has peaked, economists are warning the world may not return to simpler days when prices barely rose at all. Actually keeping inflation near 2% \u2014 the target of central banks from the US Federal Reserve to European Central Bank and Bank of England \u2014 won\u2019t be easy. https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/12\/13\/economy\/inflation-2-demographics-climate-deglobalization\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The idea that inflation will settle at 2% for decades again is a myth in this age–biblical prophecies show that more food price inflation is coming (e.g. Revelation 6:5-6).<\/p>\n

Some believe that government and media reporting on inflation is making it look less severe than it actually is. Notice the following from Michael Snyder:<\/p>\n

The mainstream media is trying really hard to convince all of us that inflation will soon no longer be a problem, but meanwhile food prices continue to soar to absolutely absurd levels.\u00a0 In fact, we just learned that vegetable prices increased by a whopping 38 percent in November.\u00a0 When I originally saw that number, I thought that it must represent the change from 12 months ago.\u00a0 But that is not the case.\u00a0 According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, vegetable prices jumped 38.1 percent<\/a> from October to November, and they are up a total of 80.6 percent<\/a> over the past 12 months\u2026<\/p>\n

The price of vegetables from producers shot up 38% on a monthly basis in November \u2014 and jumped over 80% compared to November 2021 \u2014 according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics latest Producer Price Index.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Even after reading that, a lot of you are still going to have a very difficult time believing that these figures are actually real.<\/p>\n

So I would encourage you to go to the official BLS website<\/a> and see the numbers for yourself.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t an Internet rumor.<\/p>\n

Obviously, we are still seeing food price inflation.<\/p>\n

How bad might it get for the West? The old Worldwide Church of God published the following:<\/p>\n

The black horseman\u2019s future ride<\/strong> will reduce the proud faces of white America, Europe, and the British Common wealth into the blackened skin of starvation such as now afflicts the vast majority of mankind. (Alexander G. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Ambassador College Press, Pasadena (CA), 1973, p. 31)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And, of course, the USA and the West are not the only areas of the world facing food price inflation.<\/p>\n

That being said, overall in Western lands, like the USA, we are seeing less and less diversity in foods.<\/p>\n

Some, however, see food price inflation peaking in 2023:<\/p>\n

A new forecast by grocery insight provider IGD suggests that the rate of food price inflation will peak at 17-19% in early 2023, then begin to slow over the next 12 months 11\/08\/22 https:\/\/www.igd.com\/articles\/article-viewer\/t\/food-inflation-rate-to-peak-in-early-2023-then-slow\/i\/30254<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yet, some others see it worsening. For example:<\/p>\n

The Food Crisis Of 2023 Is Going To Be Far Worse Than Most People Would Dare To Imagine<\/h2>\n

The global food crisis just continues to intensify, and things are going to get really bad in 2023.\u00a0 As you will see below, two-thirds of European fertilizer production has already been shut down, currency problems are causing massive headaches for poor nations that need to import food, global weather patterns continue to be completely crazy, and the bird flu is killing millions upon millions of chickens and turkeys all over the planet.\u00a0 On top of everything else, the war in Ukraine is going to restrict the flow of agricultural and fertilizer exports from that part of the world for a long time to come, because there is no end to the war in sight.\u00a0 In essence, we are facing a \u201cperfect storm\u201d for global food production, and that \u201cperfect storm\u201d is only going to get worse in the months ahead.<\/p>\n

Global hunger has been on the rise for years, and the UN World Food Program is warning that we are heading for\u00a0\u201cyet another year of record hunger\u201d<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cHaiti is facing a humanitarian catastrophe,\u201d a top UN official said.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But most people in the western world won\u2019t care until they are going hungry themselves.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, that day may be a lot closer than a lot of people ever imagined.<\/p>\n

Right now, a whopping two-thirds of all fertilizer production capacity in Europe\u00a0has already been shut down<\/a> because of the skyrocketing price of natural gas \u2026<\/p>\n

the Federal Reserve is actually making the global food crisis worse by hiking rates.<\/p>\n

But they are going to keep doing it anyway.<\/p>\n

At the same time, global weather patterns continue to go completely haywire. 10\/16\/22 http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/the-food-crisis-of-2023-is-going-to-be-far-worse-than-most-people-would-dare-to-imagine\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Droughts, floods, rising fertilizer costs, rising energy costs, governments printing up money (and various other governmental policies), Russia\u2019s \u2018special military operation\u2019 into Ukraine, etc. are all current factors.<\/p>\n

Jesus, in both the 24th chapter of Matthew and the Book of Revelation in chapter 6, list a sequence of events including war, famine, and pestilences.<\/p>\n

Here is some of what Jesus said:<\/p>\n

6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:6-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Famines and civil unrest, such as what Michael Snyder predicted for 2023 are consistent with Jesus\u2019 words.<\/p>\n

That being said, we are getting to the end of the 6,000 years that God has allowed humans to rule themselves, which will soon be followed by the 1,000-year reign of Christ. Pray for Jesus to return and God\u2019s Kingdom<\/a> to come (Matthew 6:10).<\/p>\n

Notice that the ride of third horseman of the Apocalypse results in scarcity, inflation, and famine. Revelation 6:5-6 indicates that there will be food, but that it will be quite expensive (food-price inflation).<\/p>\n

5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, \u201cCome and see.\u201d So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, \u201cA quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.\u201d (Revelation 6:5-6)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Some will thus die as they will not be able to afford it, while others will survive but struggle.<\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul wrote:<\/p>\n

13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.\u00a0 (2 Timothy 3:12-15)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Paul is telling us not to accept deceit, and that we need to believe what the scriptures say.<\/p>\n

One of the things the scriptures teach is that massive food inflation is coming.<\/p>\n

We are already seeing signs of it.<\/p>\n

As far as what should you do about it, physically you should prepare and realize more is coming (see als0 Physical Preparation Scriptures for Christians<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Spiritually, all should heed what Jesus said about these times:<\/p>\n

34 \u201cBut take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.\u201d (Luke 21:34-36)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Do not be part of those who will not be ready. Take the proper spiritual steps–remember most Christians, according to Jesus will not (cf. Revelation 3:14-22).<\/div>\n
