COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n The Wall Street Journal<\/em> reported the following:<\/p>\n January 29, 2023<\/p>\n A highly drug-resistant strain of gonorrhea has been detected in the U.S. for the first time, raising concerns among public-health officials about the scarcity of treatments and a future when gonorrhea could become untreatable.<\/p>\n The Massachusetts Department of Public Health said on Jan. 19 that it had detected two cases of a novel strain of gonorrhea that was more impervious to existing antibiotics than any other strain previously recorded in the U.S.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a warning and an opportunity,\u201d said\u00a0Kathleen Roosevelt, who leads the state agency\u2019s sexually transmitted infections division. \u201cWe know gonorrhea is increasing, drug resistance is increasing and antibiotics are starting to run out.\u201d<\/p>\n Gonorrhea, caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae, is primarily spread through sexual contact or from a mother to an infant during childbirth, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.\u00a0<\/em>Gonorrhea\u00a0<\/strong>is the second-most commonly reported bacterial sexually transmitted infection in the U.S., after chlamydia, and incidence of the disease has risen sharply in recent years, the CDC said.<\/p>\n Almost 700,000 cases of gonorrhea\u00a0were confirmed in the U.S.<\/a>\u00a0in 2021, a 130% increase since 2009, the CDC said. Early in the Covid-19 pandemic, reduced screening and less access to care could have contributed to longer, untreated infections in some patients and more spread, the CDC said.<\/p>\n Gonorrhea continues to evolve, increasing resistance to available antibiotics, infectious-disease experts said. In 2020, about half of all gonorrhea infections in the U.S. were estimated to be resistant to at least one antibiotic, the CDC said.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s nothing we\u2019ve thrown at gonorrhea that it hasn\u2019t developed resistance to,\u201d said Supriya Mehta, an epidemiologist at University of Illinois Chicago. \u201cThe rate of its evolution is faster than our rate of developing new drugs.\u201d https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/new-superbug-strain-of-gonorrhea-is-outsmarting-most-antibiotics-11674947446<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n I recall a statistic, from many years ago, that indicated about 1\/4 of unmarried British females got a sexually transmitted infection the first time they had sex and about 1\/5 of unmarried USA females did as well.\u00a0 About 1\/2 of sexually-active unmarried USA teenage females reportedly have a SDI\/STD (Reuters, <\/em>March 11, 2008).\u00a0 Homosexual males may have the highest rate of STDs of any group (http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/std\/life-stages-populations\/stdfact-msm.htm<\/a>).\u00a0 Promiscuity in the UK, USA, and elsewhere continues. New Zealand females have been reported to be the most promiscuous in the world (New Zealand women most promiscuous Sydney Morning Herald AAP \u2013 Oct 13, 2007. http:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/articles\/2007\/10\/13\/1191696214489.html<\/a>).<\/p>\n Here is some information about gonorrhea from the US Centers for Disease Control:<\/p>\n Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can infect both men and women. It can cause infections in the genitals, rectum, and throat. It is a very common infection, especially among young people ages 15-24 years.<\/p>\n You can get gonorrhea by having vaginal, anal, or oral sex with someone who has gonorrhea. A pregnant woman<\/a> with gonorrhea can give the infection to her baby during childbirth.<\/p>\n The only way to avoid STDs is to not have vaginal, anal, or oral sex.<\/p>\n If you are sexually active, you can do the following things to lower your chances of getting gonorrhea:<\/p>\n Untreated gonorrhea can cause serious and permanent health problems in both women and men. In men, gonorrhea can cause a painful condition in the tubes attached to the testicles. In rare cases, this may cause a man to be sterile, or prevent him from being able to father a child.<\/p>\n Rarely, untreated gonorrhea can also spread to your blood or joints. This condition can be life-threatening.\u00a0http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/std\/gonorrhea\/stdfact-gonorrhea.htm<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Many years ago, it was reported that there was a version of gonorrhea in Japan that was \u201cworse than AIDs\u201d (see \u2018Worse than AIDs\u2019 gonorrhea strain spreading from Japan<\/a>).<\/p>\n The fact is that turning to biblical morality would eliminate gonorrhea, as well as all other STDs. God does not want people involved in sexual immorality:<\/p>\n 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness<\/strong>,\u00a0 … 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.<\/p>\n 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.<\/p>\n 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18, 24-32)<\/p>\n 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Notice that the Bible says that promiscuity is a sin against the body.<\/p>\n Even the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) agrees that avoiding promiscuity is the best defense:<\/p>\n The most reliable ways to avoid transmission of STDs are to abstain from sexual activity, or to be in a long-term mutually monogamous relationship with an uninfected partner. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/msmhealth\/STD.htm<\/a>, viewed 03\/24\/13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Being faithful to biblical admonitions against fornication, adultery, and homosexuality are the \u201cmost reliable ways to avoid transmission\u201d of sexually-transmitted diseases.<\/p>\n Of course, there are other strains of gonorrhea and other STDs. For example, if not treated, gonococcal ophthalmia neonatorum will develop in 28% of infants born to women with gonorrhea (Prophylaxis for Gonococcal and Chlamydial Ophthalmia Neonatorum in<\/em> the Canadian Guide to Clinical Preventative Health Care\u201d<\/a>. Public Health Agency of Canada.).<\/p>\n STDs affect society in many negative ways.<\/p>\n The Bible has long warned against sexual immorality (Exodus 20:14; 1 Corinthians 6:18) and homosexuality (Jude 7), and that deadly pestilences would be around in the end times (Matthew 24:4-8; Revelation 6:7-8).<\/p>\n More medically-resistant strains of STDs are consistent with that.<\/p>\n Jesus warned about a time of sorrows with pestilences and earthquakes PRIOR to the start of the Great Tribulation:<\/p>\n 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet<\/strong>. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places<\/strong>. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows<\/strong>. (Matthew 24:4-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n As far as pestilences go, more and more people are dying from antibiotic resistant bacteria.<\/p>\n Back on November 16, 2019, we put up a video on YouTube with the following description:<\/p>\n The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released a report in November 2019 that stated that an American died every 15 minutes from an antibiotic-resistant infection. It reported that an additional one dies about every 45 minutes from Clostridioides difficile. Another CDC report warned of the superbug Candida auris. In China, two recently died of the pneumonic plague, whereas in May 2019, to Mongolians died from the bubonic plague after eating a rodent kidney. Dr. Thiel explained that the flu is often associated with pigs and the Ebola virus from eating fruit bats. He also cited scriptures about which animals God said could be eaten and some of which should be avoided. Dr. Thiel also went over an NPR report which stated that more who get the live polio vaccine are paralyzed from that type of polio than the \u2018wild\u2019 kind. Dr. Thiel explains some scriptures about preventing disease as well as those that show that humans will not sufficiently repent and solve infectious disease problems before Jesus returns.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Even though I cited appropriate sources, it was unceremoniously removed by YouTube sometime in 2022.<\/p>\n However, because we do not trust Big Tech in general, nor Youtube in particular, we already had it up on other platforms, so it is still available. Childbirth could once again become a deadly moment in a woman’s life.<\/p>\n It’s a future without antibiotics. …<\/p>\n The World Health Organization has warned that “many common infections will no longer have a cure and, once again, could kill unabated”.<\/p>\n The US Centers of Disease Control has pointed to the emergence of “nightmare bacteria”.<\/p>\n And the chief medical officer for England Prof Dame Sally Davies has evoked parallels with the “apocalypse”. …<\/p>\n But there has not been a new class of antibiotics discovered since the 1980s<\/a>.<\/p>\n This is now a war, and one we are in severe danger of losing. …<\/p>\n “A world without antibiotics has happened in some countries,” says Prof Timothy Walsh, from Cardiff University.<\/p>\n He was part of the team that identified one of the new emerging threats in south Asia – NDM-1.<\/p>\n This gene gives resistance to carbapenems and has been found in E. coli and Klebsiella.<\/p>\n “Antibiotic resistance in some parts of the world is like a slow tsunami, we’ve known it’s coming for years and we’re going to get wet,” he said. http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/health-21702647<\/a><\/p>\n November 19, 2015<\/p>\n The world is on the cusp of a “post-antibiotic era”, scientists have warned after finding bacteria resistant to drugs used when all other treatments have failed.<\/p>\n They identified bacteria able to shrug off the drug of last resort – colistin – in patients and livestock in China.<\/p>\n They said that resistance would spread around the world and raised the spectre of untreatable infections.<\/p>\n It is likely resistance emerged after colistin was overused in farm animals.<\/p>\n Bacteria becoming completely resistant to treatment – also known as the antibiotic apocalypse<\/a> – could plunge medicine back into the dark ages. 11\/19\/15 http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/health-34857015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Growing concerns about drug resistance have prompted a global offensive on the overuse of antibiotics.<\/p>\n We\u2019re in the middle of world antibiotic awareness week and being reminded that unregulated and improper use of antibiotics \u2013which is rife in India \u2014 is creating superbugs with some of the toughest forms of antibiotic resistance. 11\/19\/15 http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/indiarealtime\/2015\/11\/19\/not-so-fast-on-war-on-antibiotics-says-lancet-report\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Let me add that, because of overuse of antibiotics, many now realize that the USA and many other parts of the world are putting their meat animal production at risk (watch Are Americans & Asians setting themselves up for destruction from antibiotic use?)<\/a><\/p>\n This overuse of antibiotics in animals, as well as humans, poses a major risk for the USA, Asia, and other places. The USA, Canada, UK, and some other places could get affected and Europe missed. This would weaken the USA and make it more vulnerable to attack from Europe–an attack that will happen according to the Bible (Daniel 11:39). The USA will be weakened before it is attacked and taken over.<\/p>\n As far as global prevention of pestilences for the future, the Bible shows that they will continue and at one point get much more deadly:<\/p>\n It has long been known that the Bible tells of a later time when food prices would rise and there would be more death by pestilences:<\/p>\n 7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, \u201cCome and see.\u201d 8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
