BEIJING (AP) \u2014 China on Monday accused the U.S. of \u201coutright bullying and double standards\u201d in leveling what it called \u201cillegal\u201d sanctions on Chinese companies as part of U.S. actions against Russia\u2019s Wagner Group and related companies and individuals.<\/p>\n

The entities were targeted for their role in the war in Ukraine and mercenary activities, including human rights abuses, in Africa.<\/p>\n

The sanctions \u201chave no basis in international law or authorization from the Security Council, and are typical illegal unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction,\u201d Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a daily briefing.<\/p>\n

The punitive measures were \u201cseriously harming China\u2019s interests\u201d and China \u201cstrongly rejects and deplores that and has lodged solemn complaints with the U.S. side,\u201d Mao said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile the U.S. has intensified its efforts to send weapons to one of the parties to the conflict, resulting in an endless war, it has frequently spread false information about China\u2019s supply of weapons to Russia, taking the opportunity to sanction Chinese companies for no reason,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is outright bullying and double standards.\u201d https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/politics-china-bd45b29ce3431b4ccb18b044e8a34bc6<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yes, China is right that the USA has double standards and uses bullying.<\/p>\n
