\nYoung European adults are sharply critical of both the US and China, albeit for different reasons, according to a new study.<\/p>\n

The US-based Pew Research Center found British, French and German people aged 18 to 29 have “few positive things to say” about the world’s superpowers.<\/p>\n

The US was judged badly for its self-assumed role as the “world policeman” and its catastrophic past military interventions, particularly in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, China was lambasted for its expansionism and human rights violations, yet earnt respect for its “economic might”.\u00a0 …<\/p>\n

They were wary of Chinese investment around the world especially.<\/p>\n

One German man found \u201cit extremely dangerous that they try to buy or build up infrastructure in every country”.<\/p>\n

However, a “strong sense of pragmatism” prevailed, with the group believing it would be very economically damaging to cut ties with the Asian powerhouse.<\/p>\n

The US also did not come away unscathed, with young European adults coming of age in the controversial Trump years.<\/p>\n

America was criticised for how it has used its power overseas, as the world’s largest military power.<\/p>\n

One French man told the Pew Research Center: \u201cThey\u2019ve [the US] started wars that were completely illegal, against the opinion of the UN even, without any mandate.\u201d<\/p>\n

The United Nations Security Council did not sanction the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, which led to the death of more than half a million people.<\/p>\n

It was later declared illegal by then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.<\/p>\n

Most interviewees did not believe the US takes its allies’ interests into account when making foreign policy decisions – to the detriment of the world community. …<\/p>\n

Twenty years after the U.S. liberated Iraq from the grip of a dictator, Saddam Hussein, another despotism, Communist China, is profiting off its postwar rebuilding effort through lucrative, exploitative projects that are part of China’s plan to dominate the world.<\/p>\n

Beijing’s “Belt and Road Initiative” \u2014 described by critics as a “debt trap” \u2014 exchanges Chinese investments in massive foreign development projects for raw materials such as oil needed to fuel the Chinese economy and grow its international power. …<\/p>\n

China’s state-run Global Times “boasted that Chinese companies are taking a leading role in the reconstruction of Iraq, making money and spreading Beijing\u2019s influence in a country the United States spent blood and treasure to liberate from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein two decades ago,” reported the Foreign Desk<\/a> by journalist Lisa Daftari.<\/p>\n

“These Chinese companies are involved in a wide range of reconstruction efforts across Iraq, covering different areas including infrastructure development, the upgrading of transportation systems, home and community reconstruction, and the building of new schools,” the Global Times wrote, according to Daftari, who added the Chinese “are making an effort to exploit the lingering resentments of Iraqis over the U.S. invasion.” …<\/p>\n

A Feb. 23 tweet by “MOS Translators” reports the “CCP has successfully forced Iraq to use the RMB [or renminbi, the official currency of the People’s Republic of China] in trade with Communist China. The Middle East is under the CCP’s sphere of influence.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, China is increasing its influence. And yes, China wants more and more nations to accept its currency and use it, as opposed to the USA dollar, for international payments.<\/p>\n

That said, Europe is not just sitting around doing nothing about influence either.<\/p>\n

In addition to pushing the use of its currency the euro, Europe has been working on a project called the Global Gateway in order to increase its influence as well as to counter some of China’s influence.<\/p>\n

The European Union announced that it planned to spend \u20ac300 billion ($340 billion) in a program called \u2018Global Gateway.\u2019 According to EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen it is a \u201ctrue alternative\u201d to China\u2019s Belt and Road Initiative, also known as the Silk Road Project. Both the EU and Chinese projects will improve road, ports, and\/or other infrastructure to connect with Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Will this result in increased trade for Europe and Asia during the time of the Gentiles? Will Babylonian Europe dominate trade for a time? Will devastating war hit Europe with Russian and Eurasian involvement? Would infrastructure these projects are involved in be used for war? What about preparation for Armageddon? NBC reports that China intends to spend one trillion dollars to build roads, bridges, railroads, and maritime facilities to reach from China to Europe and China to the Middle East. Over 60 nations, including Russia, are involved with this. Could this Silk Road project possibly produce thoroughfares that could be used by troops that will amass at Armageddon?
