In an editorial published in Strategic Culture the British scholar Finian Cunningham urges Washington to respect multilateralism as other nations do. Otherwise, the risk is \u201ceconomic isolation\u201d by the rest of the international community. In particular, Trump reinforces the course undertaken by Russia and China that intend to free themselves from the US dollar in international trade. By weaponizing its dollar hegemony, the US can not only arbitrarily impose unilateral sanctions on other countries, but can also harvest global wealth and export its own risks to the rest of the world through irresponsible monetary policies.<\/p>\n<p>But every hegemonic currency system has its day of collapse. &#8230; While the fact that the dollar remains the most frequently used currency in the world will not change in the foreseeable future, the trend that more and more countries will consider and pilot trade in non-dollar currencies is also unchangeable. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globaltimes.cn\/page\/202303\/1288311.shtml\">https:\/\/www.globaltimes.cn\/page\/202303\/1288311.shtml<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>RT<\/em> mentioned that China and Brazil are part of the BRICS alliance. The former (again current) President of Brazil, Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, even claimed that eliminating the U.S. dollar\u2019s reserve currency status was one of the reasons that the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) was formed in the first place. <a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a> Others have\u00a0 noted that bypassing the USA dollar is still an object of BRICS\u2014and officially BRICS nations \u201care currently working on setting up a new global reserve currency,\u201d<a href=\"#_edn2\" name=\"_ednref2\">[ii]<\/a> which may have gold-backing.<a href=\"#_edn3\" name=\"_ednref3\">[iii]<\/a> The expansion of BRICS (which is in progress) may ultimately even hurt Australian trade as well as \u201cseverely weaken primacy of the US Dollar as an international currency.\u201d<a href=\"#_edn4\" name=\"_ednref4\">[iv]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Bible clearly warns against cheapening the money supply and encourages having money hold its value (Proverbs 25:4 Isaiah 1:25, Ezekiel 22:18-22). How Should a Christian View Gold?<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Much of the world is moving towards a type of integration that will result in the final time of the Gentiles (Luke 21:24; see also <a href=\"http:\/\/cogwriter.com\/time-of-the-gentiles.htm\">The Times of the Gentiles<\/a>) and the end of Anglo-American dominance.<\/p>\n<p>It should be added that part of the purpose of the Euro was to bypass the USA dollar for international trade.
