It is highly likely that this legislation will pass, criminalizing free speech and thought crimes with stiff fines and prison terms. Other European nations are sure to follow Ireland\u2019s lead, and the UN is trying to push the U.S. into the same \u201cwoke\u201d mode of censorship. &#8230;<\/p>\n<div><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ireland is on the verge of passing the most aggressive hate crime law in the European Union, which includes the first legal protections in the EU for transgender individuals. Government officials say the bill offers necessary protections at a time when immigration is on the rise and traditional ideas about sex and gender are being challenged.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Critics counter that the bill\u2019s vague language could be used to enforce the increasingly progressive Irish government\u2019s increasingly woke agenda and forcibly muzzle critics of unpopular government policies.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The legislation, the Criminal Justice (Incitement to Violence or Hatred and Hate Offences) Act, underscores a divide between Ireland\u2019s leaders and many of its people. The bill is making its way through Parliament, winning approval last month in the D\u00e1il \u00c9ireann, Ireland\u2019s lower chamber, by a vote of 110-14.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">But Irish citizens, in a 2019 consultation phase, overwhelmingly expressed a worry that the proposal was an unnecessary expansion of the country\u2019s existing hate crimes law. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The bill treats not just public presentation or dissemination of material deemed hateful, but also private preparation or even storing of material deemed hateful, such as memes on your phone or books on your shelf. Individuals convicted on such charges face fines of up to \u20ac5,000 (about $5,400) and anywhere from six months to two years in prison. Furthermore, as McEntee noted, a conviction \u201cwill allow for the \u2018hate criminal\u2019 label to follow an offender in court, in garda [police] vetting, and so on\u2026 \u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Paul Murphy, a member of the left-wing People Before Profit-Solidarity coalition, even warned the bill will legislate \u201cthe creation of a thought crime.\u201d &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In order to obtain a search warrant, all that\u2019s needed is a police officer\u2019s oath sworn before a judge that there \u201care reasonable grounds for suspecting that evidence of, or relating to\u201d hate speech may be in any given place. Police are empowered to confiscate any phone or laptop and demand passwords and encryption keys.\u00a0 &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWhy can politicians not leave well enough alone? George Orwell\u2019s \u20181984\u2019 is not an instruction manual. Furthermore, if an owner of a Bible is asked about their thoughts about what the Bible says about homosexuality and cross-dressing being an abomination, wouldn&#8217;t that now be a crime?<\/p>\n<p>And yes, sadly, many things warned about by George Orwell are coming to pass&#8211;or at least being put in place.<\/p>\n<p>And the US? Biden<\/i>, which was filed on May 5, 2022, has been taking quite the trip through the court system. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In its argument against expedited discovery and depositions, the government tried to claim that forcing government workers to sit for lengthy depositions is inappropriate, especially for the head of CISA, who was summoned.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately for the plaintiffs, Judge Doughty disagreed, forcing the CISA head, White House Press Secretary &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, it was revealed throughout this process that CISA has categorized people&#8217;s &#8220;thoughts&#8221; as being part of the government&#8217;s infrastructure \u2013 meaning the government believes it\u00a0<i>owns<\/i>\u00a0whatever activity takes place inside your head.<\/p>\n<p>This is the argument the government tried to use to justify its illegal invasion of people&#8217;s online privacy and speech. Were it not for the expedited discovery and depositions, we would not know that CISA has an entire designation for the public&#8217;s thoughts that it calls &#8220;cognitive infrastructure.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newstarget.com\/2023-05-28-us-government-owns-your-thoughts-cognitive-infrastructure.html\">https:\/\/www.newstarget.com\/2023-05-28-us-government-owns-your-thoughts-cognitive-infrastructure.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A bizarre new lexicon has been conjured up by America\u2019s elites, the sole purpose of which is to discredit and ridicule \u2013 and if at all possible,\u00a0<i>censor entirely<\/i> \u2013 speech that doesn\u2019t support their increasingly dark and deranged agenda.<\/p>\n<p>In the greatest of ironies, the nation once boasting the most robust culture of freedom of speech and the press, undergirded by the strongest constitutional protections for those rights, is now ground zero for a\u00a0<em>total war<\/em>\u00a0on free expression.<\/p>\n<p>How could this happen in the United States of America?<\/p>\n<p>One fundamental reason lies at the very heart of today\u2019s radical and unprecedented compulsion to crush free speech: The elites \u2013 from the permanent \u201cruling class\u201d in Washington D.C. (aka \u201cthe Deep State\u201d) to their propaganda ministry called the \u201cmainstream media\u201d to the Big Tech oligarchs controlling the internet to Big Pharma and other corporate giants, all obsessed with ever-increasing power and wealth \u2013 are all lying to Americans continually.\u00a0 05\/22\/23 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2023\/05\/elites-launch-war-free-speech\/\">https:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2023\/05\/elites-launch-war-free-speech\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If your thoughts are part of US government infrastructure, the government thinks it can control them.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the Bible shows a totalitarian power arising in Europe&#8211;one that will defeat the US militarily (cf. Daniel 11:39)&#8211;but current US steps are enabling Europe as well as others who want to control. And we also see groups like the Europe-based World Economic Forum (WEF) have been pushing for massive control.<\/p>\n<p>Notice also the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>May 28, 2023<\/p>\n<p>As time goes on, it is becoming increasingly obvious that governments, corporations, academic institutions and even cultural institutions are taking it upon themselves to arbitrate speech in our communities. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-2o8sn\">At this point, it would be helpful for me to introduce you to GARM \u2013 Global Alliance for Responsible Media. According to its website, GARM is\u00a0<em>\u201ca cross-industry initiative established by the World Federation of Advertisers to address the challenge of harmful content on digital media platforms and its monetization via advertising. GARM was launched at Cannes in the summer of 2019 and has been working hard to highlight the changes needed for advertisers to feel more confident about advertising on social media. As of November 2019, GARM is a flagship project of the World Economic Forum Platform for Shaping the Future of Media, Entertainment and Culture.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Although this goal may appear to be benevolent, what we have come to know over the last few years is that whenever the World Economic Forum is involved in a project, it pays to be wary.<\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-b806l\">According to the World Economic Forum, the initiative seeks to collaborate with\u00a0<em>\u201cpublishers and platforms to do more to address harmful and misleading media environments; and to develop and deliver against a concrete set of actions, processes and protocols for protecting brands.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>This includes focusing on challenges such as hate speech, bullying, disinformation, use of personal data and child exploitation. According to their categorization of risk factors in advertising, the following is considered high risk when it comes to hate speech and acts of aggression:\u00a0<em>\u201cDepiction or portrayal of hateful, denigrating, or inciting content focused on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ability, nationality, religion, caste, victims and survivors of violent acts and their kin, immigration status or serious disease sufferers, in a noneducational, informational, or scientific context.<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-3rgm6\">Far from being some fringe program that attracts far-left organizations, many of the world\u2019s colossal companies have bowed to this woke agenda. It is a veritable Tower of Babel in ideological and cultural form luring many to aid in the building of its foundations from all across the world. As George Orwell chillingly warned in his dystopian masterpiece\u00a0<em>1984<\/em>,\u00a0<em>\u201cDon\u2019t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought?\u201d &#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are many people and organizations vying for your mind, not with the intent of improving you, but with the intent of manipulating and controlling you.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/harbingersdaily.com\/is-the-wefs-global-alliance-for-responsible-media-vying-for-your-mind\/\">https:\/\/harbingersdaily.com\/is-the-wefs-global-alliance-for-responsible-media-vying-for-your-mind\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A reader sent me the following link earlier this year related to control the WEF: <a href=\"https:\/\/citizenfreepress.com\/breaking\/wef-pushing-real-life-minority-report\/\">https:\/\/citizenfreepress.com\/breaking\/wef-pushing-real-life-minority-report\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you click on the video the link brings you to, you will see an animation and comments from someone speaking about it at the latest Davos conference of the World Economic Forum. The video is less than 5 minutes long.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, the video shows that employers will promote those who have the right brain wave patterns and that the police should have the ability to look at the brain wave data to determine whether or not someone has similar brain wave patterns to criminals.<\/p>\n<p>The WEF speaker stated that the technology to do that already exists and she seemed to be promoting this.<\/p>\n<p>Long ago, my wife and I saw the 2002 movie \u2018Minority Report.\u2019 In it, government agents would arrest people for crimes that the government said they would commit in the future. Dick\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Philip_K._Dick\">Philip K. Dick<\/a>. The picture is set primarily in <a title=\"Washington, D.C.\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Washington,_D.C.\">Washington, D.C.<\/a>, and Northern Virginia in the year 2054, where <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Precrime\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Precrime\">PreCrime<\/a>, a specialized police department, apprehends criminals based on <a class=\"extiw\" title=\"wikt:foreknowledge\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/foreknowledge\">foreknowledge<\/a> provided by psychics called \u201c<a title=\"Determinism\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Precognition\">precogs<\/a>\u201c. (Wikipedia, retrieved 05\/22\/21)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We are getting closer to that type of thing in many parts of the world\u2013but instead of \u2018precogs\u201d being used, police profiles, internal espionage, use of \u2018political\u2019 &amp; religious words, and \u2018artificial intelligence \u2018 are getting involved. What the WEF seems to be advocating is very close to that.<\/p>\n<p>What governments are working on is not the way to stop crime. We have a sermon on crime that some may wish to watch: <a dir=\"ltr\" title=\"Crime and How it Will be Stopped!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yvxy9VD5SzQ&amp;list=UUOuL5Q2Xi9HZqU6GivhxveQ\" data-sessionlink=\"ei=YO-6VOCfCtDx-QPLyYGABA&amp;feature=c4-overview-u&amp;ved=CBoQvxs\">Crime and How it Will be Stopped!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some other reports about what the WEF seems to be trying to do:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>How about \u201cswiping with your mind\u201d instead of using your fingers \u2013 because that\u2019s one of the \u201cconveniences\u201d mentioned at the WEF event as a tradeoff for granting full access to your person to outside actors.<\/p>\n<p>The nightmarish scenario \u2013 of healthy people subjecting themselves to this \u2013 is something many of us will see within our lifetimes, the professor also predicted from the WEF stage. But why would anyone do it?<\/p>\n<p>The presentation was preceded by an animated video, the goal of which was, ostensibly, to provide that answer in an easy-to-digest format.<\/p>\n<p>The video is introduced as a glimpse into what a presenter literally referred to as \u201ca wonderful future\u201d where brainwaves will be used for wonderful things: fighting crime, being more productive, and even \u201cfinding love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s not to like about this, right? Especially if you are an employer wanting to access every aspect of your employees\u2019 personality and even humanity, or a government with the same intent toward its citizens. The potential for abuse is enormous.<\/p>\n<p>So if you happen to be on the opposing side of the drive toward this \u201cwonderful future,\u201d the concept might seem disturbing. Also disturbing was Farahany revealing during her presentation that some form of brain activity tracking is already very much so happening in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>To be precise, according to the professor: more than 5,000 companies around the world are at this point monitoring their employees\u2019 brains for \u201cfatigue levels.\u201d Needless to say, this is happening in <a class=\"st_tag internal_tag \" title=\"Posts about China\" href=\"https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/topics\/china\/\" rel=\"tag\">China<\/a>, among other places. Sadly, most people don\u2019t realize how extensive the surveillance grid has now become. As you drive to work or to school, license plate readers are systematically tracking where you travel. In major cities, thousands of highly advanced security cameras (many equipped with facial recognition technology) are monitoring your every move. If authorities detect that you are doing something suspicious, they can quickly pull up your criminal, financial and medical records. Of course if they want to dig deeper, your phone and your computer are constantly producing a treasure trove of surveillance data. Nothing that you do on either one of them is ever private.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>In the past, compiling all of that information would take a great deal of time. But now tech giants such as Microsoft, Motorola, Cisco and Palantir are selling \u201cfusion systems\u201d to governments all over the planet. These \u201cfusion systems\u201d can instantly integrate surveillance data from thousands of different sources, and this has totally transformed how law enforcement is conducted in many of our largest cities. &#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Arthur Holland Michel got the opportunity to test out the \u201cfusion system\u201d that Microsoft had built\u00a0<a title=\"for New York City\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/there-are-spying-eyes-everywhere-and-now-they-share-a-brain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">for New York City<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The NYPD official showed me how he could pull up any city resident\u2019s rap sheet, lists of their known associates, cases in which they were named as a victim of a crime or as a witness, and, if they had a car, a heatmap of where they tended to drive and a full history of their parking violations. Then he handed me the phone. Go ahead, he said; search a name.<\/p>\n<p>A flurry of people came to mind: Friends. Lovers. Enemies. In the end, I chose the victim of a shooting I\u2019d witnessed in Brooklyn a couple of years earlier. He popped right up, along with what felt like more personal information than I, or even perhaps a curious officer, had any right to know without a court order. Artificial Intelligence, brain wave monitoring, financial controls, and other items are falling into place.<\/p>\n<p>As far as the USA goes, its many espionage agencies pretty much already know what everyone does on the internet. Yes, they do not have 100% knowledge, but they are very close to that.<\/p>\n<p>Some may find it interesting to understand that the old WCG predicted a time of totalitarian control in various articles. It is the government of \u201cBig Brother,\u201d a government that pries into all aspects of citizens\u2019 lives.<\/p>\n<p>It is also a world which lies nearer at hand than most of us would like to admit. It is a world which many well-meaning people are unwittingly helping to usher in. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>A surprising amount of what we do or say in public \u2014 and often in private \u2014 is gathered, summarized, evaluated, codified, transferred, combined and filed away by number. The erosion of personal privacy has become a hallmark of our computerized, technologically sophisticated age. Indeed, the right to privacy now stands in greater jeopardy than at any time in the history of mankind!<\/p>\n<p>What emerges, upon investigation, is a chilling picture of a democracy being eaten away by the unrestrained use of intrusive technology, a democracy being undermined by governmental and private institutions left to their own devices through the apathy of the citizenry. The implications are frightening.<\/p>\n<p>This erosion of privacy can be traced to the workings of two main power centers; government and the news media. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>The framers of the U.S. Constitution well remembered the infamous British \u201cwrits of assistance\u201d \u2014 general warrants authorizing wide-ranging searches. It was not uncommon for officials of the British Crown to burst unannounced into colonial homes and businesses, arresting the occupants and seizing property.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, that \u201cmost valued\u201d right of privacy which the Founding Fathers built into the Constitution is now being increasingly trampled upon, pushing us ever closer to the brink of Orwell\u2019s \u201cBig Brother\u201d world of 1984. Plain Truth, May 1979)<\/p>\n<p>Orwell (his real name was Eric Blair) caught the fancy of many readers with his best-selling 1984, which has since become the standard definition for extreme mental and physical oppression. \u2026 George Orwell\u2019s novel is centered in England, where in that isle by 1984 is headquartered an extreme socialistic philosophy that dominates the United States, Latin America and what was once the British Empire. Orwell vividly paints the scene of a world-ruling empire that enslaves humanity rather than frees it. \u2026 (INGSOC is short for English Socialism) \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Numerous literary critics believe Orwell meant the novel as a warning. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>The apostle Paul warned that there were those \u201cwho suppress the truth\u201d (Rom. 1:18, RAV). \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Jesus knew that his message of government would be suppressed. But he also determined that the time would come when his original unadulterated message would be thundered across this globe. The exciting aspect of this foreknowledge is that this prophesied event barely precedes the actual reestablishment of God\u2019s kingdom upon earth. Jesus himself thus declared: \u201cAnd this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end [Greek: alon \u2014 this \u201cage\u201d of man, not this physical globe] will come\u201d (Matt. 24:14, RAV). \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Orwell, as one writer put it, was convinced \u201cthat modern man [is] inadequate to I cope with the demands of his history.\u201d Indeed, the Orwellian INGSOC will appear in form. The Bible prophesies a terrible time soon to come (Matt. 24:21) \u2014 a short dark age of religious and political persecution. (Snyder MA. Is a New Dark Age Coming? Plain Truth, January 1984)<\/p>\n<p>God asserts that children are His gift (Psalm 127:3). God puts responsibility for proper child rearing squarely on the parents (Deuteronomy 6:7, Proverbs 22:6). A parent is, while not an absolute owner of a child, God\u2019s trustee who has the God-given right to care for and train the child as God\u2019s steward.<\/p>\n<p>But a different idea is gaining influence today. The idea is government owns your child. The reason behind the idea is that social planners-people who consider it their business to remake society according to what they think is good-will be unable to bring about a \u201cjust\u201d or \u201cequal\u201d society unless government is able to control child rearing.<\/p>\n<p>Mark the following frightening words: \u201c\u2026 the fact that children are raised in families means there is no equality. In order to raise children with equality we must take them away from families and communally raise them\u201d (emphasis ours). The statement was made by Mary Jo Baine, assistant professor of education at Wellesley College.<\/p>\n<p>The sentiment is echoed by top government bureaucrats in the United States. \u201cChildren do not belong to parents,\u201d says Edward Zigler, director of the U.S. Government Office of Child Development.<\/p>\n<p>The 1972 Minneapolis Declaration of Feminism, as you would expect, follows the antifamily party line: \u201c\u2026 With the destruction of the nuclear family, children must be seen as the responsibility of the entire society, rather than the individual.\u201d (Evidently, the Minnesota feminists don\u2019t even recognize the existence of parents, only that of society and individuals).<\/p>\n<p>Even more chilling is the fact that such jackboot antifamily sentiments are occasionally found among judges in our society. Judge Lisa Richette of the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, reportedly said: \u201cIf there is a least detrimental alternative, remove the child and don\u2019t worry about the right of the parents. The child belongs to society. The parents were only biological producers.\u201d (Evidently, Judge Richette has never read the decision of the American Supreme Court made in 1925 before the recent attack on the family, which directly contradicts her sentiments. \u201cThe child,\u201d said the Supreme Court in one of its greatest moments, \u201cis not the mere creature of the state\u201d (Pierce v. Society of Sisters).<\/p>\n<p>When you read of the statements of people such as Professor Baine, Mr. Zigler or Judge Richette, you cannot help but be reminded of a book that showed penetrating insight into the modern world. It is George Orwell\u2019s 1984.<\/p>\n<p>The book prophesies a horrible, nightmarish future for mankind. Life will be a vast prison-human government will be in control of everything. There will be no freedom. There will be no individuality, and the family will be or made the servant of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The following passage from 1984 practically describes to a tee the kind of world advocated by Ms. Baine, Mr. Zigler and Judge Richette: \u201cNearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party. On the contrary, they adored the Party and everything connected with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In George Orwell\u2019s nightmare world of 1984, children will be allowed to remain with parents, but the human state will claim their loyalties. Children will certainly \u201cnot belong to their parents.\u201d They will belong to \u201cBig Brother\u201d (the government). In fact, in Mr. Orwell\u2019s prophetic novel, children are encouraged to spy on, turn in and terrorize their parents!<\/p>\n<p>Compare author Orwell\u2019s prophecy with the equally prophetic words of Jesus Christ, describing the time before the return of Christ: \u201c\u2026 the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death\u201d (Matthew 10:21). Plain Truth, May, 1980)<\/p>\n<p>The world already too much resembles George Orwell\u2019s nightmare vision of 1984, where Big Brother regulated the lives of everyone. But in addition to the dangers of totalintarianism, Orwell also warned of the corruption of language which inevitably accompanies it. The rulers of the 1984-state will tell you that they are protecting your basic human rights \u2013 to be their slaves. Orwell summed it up when he described the slogan of Big Brother society: \u201cFreedom is Slavery. War is Peace. Ignorance is Strength.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It calls to mind the words of the Old Testament prophet: \u201cWoe unto them that call evil good, and good evil\u201d (Isa. 5:20). Indeed, Isaiah\u2019s point is essentially the same as Orwell\u2019s: Language must have consistent and specific meaning or all manner of evil will be called good. The reluctance of world leaders to say precisely what they mean by \u201chuman rights\u201d is a serious matter. (Calkins J. HUMAN RIGHTS COME FROM GOD. Plain Truth, August 1978)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Since these articles came out, governments, computer technologies. and internet companies have been used, which make the situation worse.<\/p>\n<p>Now we are seeing more totalitarian steps, and the time of totalitarian control is even easier to predict.<\/p>\n<p>As far as control and loss of freedom to spread the truth goes, notice these scriptures:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.<\/p>\n<p>18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)<\/p>\n<p>11 \u201cBehold, the days are coming,\u201d says the Lord God,<br \/>\n\u201cThat I will send a famine on the land,<br \/>\nNot a famine of bread,<br \/>\nNor a thirst for water,<br \/>\nBut of hearing the words of the Lord.<br \/>\n12 They shall wander from sea to sea,<br \/>\nAnd from north to east;<br \/>\nThey shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,<br \/>\nBut shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A totalitarian system will be put in place. Internet companies are making it easier for this to occur.<\/p>\n<p>Amos told of a time that will come when the word of God will not be found. I do not believe that this means that there will be no more Bibles\u2013but that those wanting to better understand the Bible will have trouble finding explanations&#8211;plus those possessing Bibles may be subject to questioning, imprisonment, and perhaps even death. That is part of why we in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccog.org\"><em>Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/short-work.htm\">preparing for the \u2018short work\u2019 (Romans 9:28) and the coming \u2018famine of the word<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Consider, however, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/jesus.htm\">Jesus<\/a> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:4)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/philadelphiachurch.htm\">Philadelphian Christians <\/a>want to respond to the doors that Christ opens to proclaim the gospel (2 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 16:8-9; Colossians 4:2-4) and do the work. We will stand up for the truth, despite realizing that the \u2018famine of the word\u2019 that the prophet Amos referred to, is coming. We must do the work and persevere to the end\u2013despite totalitarian and Orwellian calls by various ones.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, there is good news as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/GospeloftheKingdomofGod.pdf\">Kingdom of God<\/a> will come and replace the Babylonian (Revelation 13:16-18) system that we see being put together today.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, have no doubts, the type of totalitarian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/europa.htm\">Beast<\/a> society that the Bible warned about for the end times is truly taking shape in many parts of the world.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Notice the following from the Bible:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation;<br \/>\nPreserve my life from fear of the enemy.<br \/>\n2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,<br \/>\nFrom the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,<br \/>\n3 Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,<br \/>\nAnd bend their bows to shoot their arrows \u2014 bitter words,<br \/>\n4 That they may shoot in secret at the blameless;<br \/>\nSuddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.<\/p>\n<p>5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter;<br \/>\nThey talk of laying snares secretly;<br \/>\nThey say, &#8220;Who will see them?&#8221;<br \/>\n6 They devise iniquities:<br \/>\n&#8220;We have perfected a shrewd scheme.&#8221;<br \/>\nBoth the inward thought and the heart of man are deep. (Psalm 64:1-6)<\/p>\n<p>9 Keep me from the snares they have laid for me,<br \/>\nAnd from the traps of the workers of iniquity.<br \/>\n10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,<br \/>\nWhile I escape safely.
