The supercomputer\u2019s primary purpose is to aid tech companies in developing successors to the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT, according to Huang. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>While Nvidia is leading the pack in terms of producing powerful chips to power AI applications, other companies are rushing to join in on the AI frenzy.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft recently announced that it is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/microsoft-is-developing-its-own-ai-chip-to-power-chatgpt-report\">developing its own chip<\/a>\u00a0with the capacity to power ChatGPT-like applications.<\/p>\n<p>In China, developers are under sanctions from the United States, which has barred access to the latest version of Nvidia chips. However, local developers are currently trying\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/china-is-developing-ai-without-us-chips-here-s-how\">combinations of chips and semiconductors<\/a> to create their own methods of AI development. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/geopolitical\/nvidia-introduces-ai-supercomputer-create-chatgpt-successors\">https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/geopolitical\/nvidia-introduces-ai-supercomputer-create-chatgpt-successors<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are also more public concerns about where AI will lead. The <em>BBC<\/em> reported the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"main-heading\" class=\"ssrcss-15xko80-StyledHeading e1fj1fc10\" tabindex=\"-1\">Artificial intelligence could lead to extinction, experts warn<\/h2>\n<p>30 May 2023<\/p>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-11r1m41-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-7uxr49-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00\"><b class=\"ssrcss-hmf8ql-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Artificial intelligence could lead to the extinction of humanity, experts including the heads of OpenAI and Google Deepmind have warned<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-11r1m41-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-7uxr49-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00\">Dozens have supported a statement published on the webpage of the\u00a0<a class=\"ssrcss-k17ofw-InlineLink e1no5rhv0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.safe.ai\/statement-on-ai-risk\">Centre for AI Safety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-11r1m41-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-7uxr49-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00\">&#8220;Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war&#8221; it reads.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-11r1m41-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-7uxr49-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00\">But others say the fears are overblown. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Media coverage of the supposed &#8220;existential&#8221; threat from AI has snowballed since March 2023 when experts including Tesla boss Elon Musk signed an open letter\u00a0<a class=\"ssrcss-k17ofw-InlineLink e1no5rhv0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/technology-65110030\">urging a halt<\/a> to the development of the next generation of AI technology. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-65746524\">https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-65746524<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Although some have called for major government regulation of AI, regulations are not going to stop all the possible dangerous uses of so-called artificial intelligence programs.<\/p>\n<p>So the Centre for AI Safety is concerned about AI at the level of nuclear war and pandemics. Well, related to pandemics there is a risk that AI will help develop them. A reader tipped me off to the following earlier this year:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Artificial intelligence could be misused to design biological weapons, warn scientists &#8230;<\/h2>\n<p>Artificial intelligence could be misused to design highly toxic chemical and <span data-track-module=\"internal-body-link\"><a id=\"mol-688cf8a0-aa78-11ed-ae8b-7bd35988a699\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/biological-weapons\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">biological weapons<\/a><\/span>, warn scientists. &#8230; four researchers involved in AI-based drug discovery have now found that the technology could easily be manipulated to search for toxic nerve agents.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>The four were asked by the Swiss Federal Institute for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection to look at whether <span data-track-module=\"internal-body-link\"><a id=\"mol-688c3550-aa78-11ed-ae8b-7bd35988a699\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sciencetech\/ai\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AI<\/a><\/span> could be used by those with ulterior motives \u2013 and their AI came up with 40,000 potentially toxic drugs in six hours.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Their AI started \u2018producing all of these [toxic] molecules, a lot of which look like chemical warfare agents\u2019. 02\/11\/23 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sciencetech\/article-11741077\/Artificial-intelligence-misused-design-biological-weapons-warn-scientists.html\">https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sciencetech\/article-11741077\/Artificial-intelligence-misused-design-biological-weapons-warn-scientists.html<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Consider COVID, even Dr. Anthony Fauci knows that COVID-19 could have originated in a lab (see <a title=\"Permanent Link to \u2018There\u2019s No Doubt There Will Be More Pandemics Because They\u2019re Intentionally Creating Them\u2019\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/news\/prophecy\/theres-no-doubt-there-will-be-more-pandemics-because-theyre-intentionally-creating-them\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">\u2018There\u2019s No Doubt There Will Be More Pandemics Because They\u2019re Intentionally Creating Them\u2019<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The fact is that there is NO known evidence that COVID-19 naturally came from the wild. No one has proven that nor even shown where in &#8216;nature&#8217; it came from, etc. As a reminder, Dr. Fauci was involved in research that could lead to more dangerous viruses&#8211;including with China&#8211;and that is a fact&#8211;not a wild conspiracy theory.<\/p>\n<p>Human activities, likely involving scientists, were what led to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Expos\u00e9<\/em> posted the following last October:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"title\">There\u2019s No Doubt There Will Be More Pandemics Because They\u2019re Intentionally Creating Them<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>No biodefense research is purely defensive \u2013 to do the work, you\u2019re automatically engaged in the creation of biological weapons.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Early on in the Covid pandemic, Francis Boyle, PhD., was sure it was the result of a lab leak. He believes monkeypox is another lab creation, as it now suddenly has 30 mutations from the wild monkeypox found in Africa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">President Biden recently signed the \u2018<em>Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation for a Sustainable, Safe and Secure American Bioeconomy<\/em>\u2019, and this order basically promises we\u2019ll see additional manmade pandemics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Section 12, paragraph VII in Biden\u2019s executive order states that the purpose of the order is to \u201cdevelop and work and promote and implement \u2026 dual-use research of concern, and research involving potentially pandemic and other high-consequence pathogens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">That means they intend to perform gain-of-function research on deadly pathogens, any one of which could be released to create a global pandemic when a scare event is necessary to trick populations into choosing a false sense of safety over freedom. <a href=\"https:\/\/expose-news.com\/2022\/10\/04\/there-will-be-more-pandemics-theyre-creating-them\/\">https:\/\/expose-news.com\/2022\/10\/04\/there-will-be-more-pandemics-theyre-creating-them\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As far as scientists creating diseases, over 50 years ago the old Worldwide Church of God published the following by the late Raymond McNair:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>THE DOOMSDAY BUG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is \u2014 this very instant \u2014 a feverish international search for the ultimate \u201cdooms-day bug.\u201d The purpose? \u2014 to wipe out whole nations overnight by disease germs and chemicals. Will man\u2019s unrestrained scientific search for more horrifying weapons of mass destruction prove to be his undoing?<\/p>\n<p>WHAT I have seen here at Porton Down has convinced me of the awful potential of modern Chemical and Biological Warfare (called CBW for short). Few realize its frightening possibilities! Sensational news headlines from time to time reveal details of CBW development world-wide. \u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>History of CBW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chemical and Biological Warfare is not new to mankind. For thousands of years man has used various CBW agents to overcome his enemies. But\u2026 it is only recently that he has seriously considered the idea of using CBW on a grand scale \u2014 to erase whole populations! Thousands of years ago man discovered the diabolical use of poison. He learned to use poison to dispose of rulers, dignitaries, or large numbers of his enemies by poisoning their food or water supply. Poisoned arrows were also used in warfare. Millenniums ago man learned that he could throw the corpses of plague-infected humans over the walls of besieged cities which he sought to overthrow \u2014 thereby causing terrible plague to ravage the entire city. Early American settlers traded plague-infected blankets to American Indians in times of frontier hostilities. There have been virtually no limits to man\u2019s diabolical, inventive genius in the realm of destructive weapons of war. CBW\u2019s<\/p>\n<p><strong>Awful Potential<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We can see the awful potential of rampant disease organisms by observing what did happen during the Dark Ages. The BLACK DEATH of 1348-50 was the worst natural disaster to befall man in the last 4000 years. This terrible plague swept over all Europe \u2014 killing at least one third of the population! In certain areas nearly three fourths of the population was killed by plague! Three fifths of all Britons succumbed to the Black Death \u2014 reducing Britain\u2019s population from 5.1 million in 1348 to 2.1 million in 1374.<\/p>\n<p>Many, believing they would certainly fall victims of the Black Death, gave themselves over to reckless abandon \u2014 drunkenness, sexual orgies, violence, crime and general lawlessness. \u201cEat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die of plague,\u201d they reasoned. But biological warfare is potentially much worse than plague.<\/p>\n<p>Colonel Adam Mikovich of Moscow Institute understands the full potential of Biological Warfare. He said: \u201cIt is believed today that Biological War would have the greatest effect of all\u201d (Post, Jan. 30, 1965). \u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>An Ounce of Doom!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many scientists right now are searching for new plagues with which to decimate the human population. And they are diligently seeking deadlier strains of old viruses with which to destroy whole populations. Of course, these scientists justify their CBW research by saying it is done for defensive reasons. Just how lethal are these viruses? Do you grasp the deadly potential? \u201cIn theory one gram of chicken embryo tissue inoculated with the Q-fever organism would be sufficient to infect more than one million people\u201d (We All Fall Down, Robin Clarke). It has been estimated that one fourth of an ounce would be sufficient to infect every man, woman and child living in the British Isles! That\u2019s about 55 million! Britain is especially vulnerable to chemical or germ warfare. She is thickly crowded and normal weather conditions in Britain are favorable to that type of warfare!<\/p>\n<p>Botulinus, which was developed during World War II, is so deadly that it could wipe out all human life in a given area within six hours \u2014 yet leaving the target area habitable immediately after the attack. But some diseases would have a more lingering effect. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Few realize that far more people have died from pestilence \u2014 from sickness and various plagues \u2014 through the course of human history, than have died in actual warfare.<\/p>\n<p>It has been estimated that over 20,000,000 perished from influenza in just a few months at the close of World War I \u2014 and 50 times that number became ill. In the autumn of 1918, over 12,500,000 died in the flu epidemic which swept the undernourished nation of India. And over one-half million died in the United States. \u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Destroying the Economy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another terrifying aspect of CBW is that an enemy nation could destroy the economy of a nation \u2014 before actually attacking its civilians. This could be done by first attacking some of the main crops of the intended victim nation.<br \/>\nIn 1942, 90 percent of India\u2019s rice crop was destroyed by a natural strain of rice fungus.<\/p>\n<p>And the highest award ever given to a U.S. civilian was awarded to a woman for developing another very deadly type of rice-blast fungus \u2014 which could, of course, be used against rice-eating nations like China or North Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>A Russian scientist has reportedly discovered a very deadly wheat rust \u2014 a type to which America\u2019s wheat would be especially susceptible.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, one can see how an enemy could greatly undermine the economy of a nation by first destroying the main crops through bacteriological warfare.<\/p>\n<p>As a further example of the effects of this type of warfare, consider the terrible economic effects which the Irish potato famine of the mid-1800\u2019s had on Ireland. That particular potato famine was caused by a peculiar potato blight or fungus which completely wiped out Ireland\u2019s potato crop!<\/p>\n<p>Previous to the famine, Ireland was one of the most densely populated countries in Europe. Yet it was a country stricken with the most unbelievable poverty. \u201cThere never was,\u201d said the Duke of Wellington, a native of County Meath, \u201ca country in which poverty existed to the extent that exists in Ireland.\u201d \u201cNearly half of the families of the rural population,\u201d reported the 1841 census, \u201care living in houses of the lowest state\u201d \u2014 windowless mud cabins of a single room. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>CBW weapons are cheap to manufacture, and are comparatively inexpensive to deliver to enemy targets. A small nation could develop a whole arsenal of CBW agents and deliver them with very little strain on its budget. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Scientists must bear their full share of responsibility for their part in developing more deadly and virulent microbes which could unleash horrifying disease epidemics upon this world.<\/p>\n<p>But where does this leave us? Will scientists cease their horrifying work? Hardly.<\/p>\n<p>It leaves us precisely where the world\u2019s most noted newscaster \u2014 Jesus Christ \u2014 said it would leave us! Speaking of our very day, he warned: \u201cFor then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved [alive]: but for the elect\u2019s sake those days shall be shortened\u201d (Matt. 24:21, 22).<\/p>\n<p>But how?<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Only Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Make no mistake about it \u2014 man does not have the solution to his ever-accelerating arms-race problem. But God does!<\/p>\n<p>We can be very thankful that the God of the universe is about to put an end to man\u2019s hellish insanity toward his fellowman. His government will \u201crebuke strong nations afar off: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they LEARN WAR any more\u201d (Micah 4:3).<\/p>\n<p>Mercifully, God Almighty will not let man destroy himself! If God didn\u2019t keep His hand firmly on the controls, man would annihilate himself.<\/p>\n<p>We can rejoice that total disarmament is very near. The day is soon coming when the nations will close down all of their chemical and biological establishments \u2014 and their munitions factories!<\/p>\n<p>Then all of man\u2019s scientific efforts will be directed toward construction \u2014 not Destruction. Toward saving lives \u2014 not destroying them! (McNair R. The Doomsday Bug. Plain Truth, August 1969)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, yes, the old WCG was right that humans would continue to look into developing pestilences.
