In addition to attempting to pervert the biblical understanding of the purpose of the rainbow, the LGBTQ+ community has gotten the mainstream to promote June as ‘Pride Month.’<\/p>\n

The Associated Press<\/em> put out the following:<\/p>\n

June 1, 2023<\/p>\n

The start of June marks the beginning of Pride month around the U.S. and some parts of the world, a season to celebrate the lives and experiences of LGBTQ+ communities and to protest against recent attacks on hard-won civil rights gains.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Pride takes place in a contentious political climate in which some state legislators have sought to ban drag shows, prohibit gender-affirming care and limit how teachers can talk about sexuality and gender in the classroom. …<\/p>\n

June has been an important month for the LGBTQ+ rights movement since New York City\u2019s first Pride march \u2014 then dubbed the \u201cChristopher Street Gay Liberation Day\u201d march \u2014 on June 28, 1970.<\/p>\n

That event marked an act of defiance from the year before, a\u00a01969 uprising at New York City\u2019s Stonewall Inn<\/a>. After a police raid at the gay bar, a crowd partly\u00a0led by trans women of color<\/a>\u00a0channeled their anger to confront authorities. It was a catalyst to what became a global movement for LGBTQ+ rights.<\/p>\n

For more than\u00a0a half-century<\/a>, the annual marches have been an opportunity to demand action on specific issues such as the AIDS epidemic and same-sex marriage while also serving as a public celebration.<\/p>\n

HOW IT\u2019S GOING<\/p>\n

These days, Pride celebrations and events can be found all over the country.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As far as being “proud” goes, notice the following scripture:<\/p>\n

16 These six things the Lord hates,
\nYes, seven are an abomination to Him:
\n17 A proud look,
\nA lying tongue,
\nHands that shed innocent blood,
\n18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
\nFeet that are swift in running to evil,
\n19 A false witness who speaks lies,
\nAnd one who sows discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Note that pride is condemned.<\/p>\n

As far as a lying tongues, the LGBTQ+ community falsely asserts that there are more than two genders and that they were “born that way”–they were not–watch: Gay Gene? Born That Way?<\/a><\/p>\n

Related to hands that shed innocent blood, the LGBTQ+ community is pro-abortion and the pedophile actions of certain of their members sheds innocent blood another way.<\/p>\n

As far as a heart that devises wicked plans, the legislative and school plans of the LGBTQ+ community are evil.<\/p>\n

As far as feet that are swift in running to evil, their attendance at “Pride parades,” is just one example.<\/p>\n

Yes, the LGBTQ+ community is composed of false witnesses that speak lies. It is NOT good to promote Drag Queens, their story hours, and various other forms of perversion, despite the LGBTQ+ community saying it is.<\/p>\n

And yes, they want to sow discord among brethren by belittling, censoring, and denouncing biblical morality.<\/p>\n

Notice also the following:<\/p>\n

9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them,
\nAnd they declare their sin as Sodom;
\nThey do not hide it.
\nWoe to their soul!
\nFor they have brought evil upon themselves. (Isaiah 3:9)NKJV<\/p>\n

4 A haughty look, a proud heart,
\nAnd the plowing of the wicked are sin. (Proverbs 21:4)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for pushing an ancient LGBTQ agenda. The moderns are no better and seem to be worse. And, of course, they do not like the Bible condemning their behaviours and pride as sin.<\/p>\n

Instead of condemning the sinful LGBTQ+ movement, professing Roman Catholic US President Joe Biden put out the following:<\/p>\n

During Pride Month, we honor a movement that has grown stronger, more vibrant, and more inclusive with every passing year.\u00a0 Pride is a celebration of generations of LGBTQI+ people, who have fought bravely to live openly and authentically.\u00a0 And it is a reminder that we still have generational work to do to ensure that everyone enjoys the full promise of equity, dignity, protection, and freedom. …<\/p>\n

My entire Administration stands proudly with the LGBTQI+ community in the enduring struggle for freedom, justice, and equality.\u00a0 And we are making strides.\u00a0 On my first day in office, I signed a historic Executive Order charging the entire Federal Government with protecting LGBTQI+ people from discrimination \u2014 from health care to housing, education, employment, banking, and the criminal justice system.\u00a0 Last December, surrounded by dozens of couples who have fought for marriage equality in the courts for decades, I had the great honor of signing into law the landmark Respect for Marriage Act.\u00a0 This bipartisan law protects the rights of same-sex and interracial couples \u2014 like caring for one\u2019s sick partner and receiving spousal benefits.\u00a0 Deciding who to marry is one of life\u2019s most profound decisions, so we etched a simple truth into law:\u00a0 Love is love.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, I have taken unprecedented steps to support LGBTQI+ youth.\u00a0 During Pride Month last year, I signed an Executive Order charging Federal agencies with combating the dangerous and discredited practice of so-called \u201cconversion therapy.\u201d https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2023\/05\/31\/a-proclamation-on-lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender-queer-and-intersex-pride-month-2023\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No, perversion is NOT love. Plus, no one should push youth into this. As far as conversion therapy goes, it is NOT a dangerous OR scientifically discredited practice.<\/p>\n

Can homosexuals change? Is trying to change sexual orientation harmful? Should counselors work with clients with unwanted same-sex attractions, helping them live out their sexuality in a biblical way? There\u2019s been a lot of debate in recent years in the mental health professions, the media and various state legislatures about these questions.<\/p>\n

In the past, such help and change was widely considered both desirable and possible. More recently, however, an increasing number of mental health practitioners now believe that a homosexual orientation is an intrinsic part of a person\u2019s identity that cannot \u2013 and should not \u2013 be changed. The mental health professions haven\u2019t really discovered anything new about human sexuality or homosexuality; they are just more ideologically and politically driven. \u2026<\/p>\n

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) in 1998 issued a position statement \u201crebuking\u201d practices that are broadly referred to as \u201creparative therapy\u201d or \u201cconversion therapy\u201d for homosexuality. More recently, these practices have been labeled \u201csexual orientation change efforts\u201d (SOCE). \u2026<\/p>\n

In 2007, the American Psychological Association set up a task force, composed exclusively of gay-identified activists and apologists, to study the issue. No practitioners of SOCE or experts on change from homosexuality were included in the task force. The group also threw out myriad accounts and reports of change from homosexuality and of help from SOCE, while at the same time using anecdotal statements of harm. Despite this stacked deck,\u00a0the task force could not conclude in its 2009 report that SOCE was ineffective or inherently harmful. Nor did the group call for a ban on SOCE<\/em>. They simply said more research was needed and cautioned therapists about their work.<\/p>\n

Both groups claim to be scientifically driven, yet the APA states that homosexuality is a \u201cnormal variant of human sexuality.\u201d And the American Psychological Association says that homosexuality is a \u201cnormal and positive variation of human sexual orientation.\u201d But these views are really beyond the power of science to decide, entering into the worlds of philosophy, ethics and religion. Science can only tell us what is, not what is moral, good or ethical. Science also can\u2019t describe for us God\u2019s views about human sexuality.<\/p>\n

Significantly, both groups seem to dismiss the fact that many individuals who experience same-sex attractions or engage in homosexual activity are dissatisfied with the situation and seek professional help to align their thoughts and behaviors with their convictions and faith. Many who experience homosexual temptations and impulses are responding to the Gospel message that unwanted same-sex attractions can be overcome. And as they seek pastoral and professional psychological counseling, they find that\u00a0change and transformation are, indeed, possible<\/a>.\u00a0 \u2026<\/p>\n

* There are no scientific studies that demonstrate that adolescents have been harmed through SOCE.<\/p>\n

* The psychological literature confirms that permanent change away from a homosexual orientation is possible:<\/p>\n

* In 2007, Drs. Stanton L. Jones and Mark A. Yarhouse published a study confirming that long-term change away from homosexual orientation can occur through religious mediation. At the end of three years, 67 percent of men and women who had undergone group discussions, individual counseling, journaling, Scripture reading and prayer either reported a change towards heterosexual orientation or were successfully continuing work towards that goal.[8]<\/p>\n

* In 2001, Dr. Robert Spitzer published a report showing that a majority of gay men and lesbians who sought \u201cre-orientation\u201d therapy were able to achieve fulfilling heterosexual relationships.[9]<\/p>\n

* While acknowledging that change in sexual orientation is both difficult to define and to measure, a bibliographic review of the literature from the past 100 years or more notes the wide variety of treatments that have claimed success.[10]<\/p>\n

* There is no valid or replicable research demonstrating the inevitability of homosexual behavior based on\u00a0biological or genetic circumstances<\/a>.\u00a0Studies on twins show that homosexuality is not genetic.[11]\u00a0https:\/\/www.focusonthefamily.com\/socialissues\/sexuality\/leaving-homosexuality\/the-right-to-counseling-for-unwanted-same-sex-attractions<\/a>\u00a0accessed 07\/03\/18<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In Romans 1, the Apostle Paul also warned about those that \u201cwho suppress the truth in unrighteousness\u201d (Romans 1:18).<\/p>\n

Bans of homosexual conversion therapy, stating that there is no scientific basis, and claiming this as a fact, are attempts to suppress the truth.<\/p>\n

What about the claim from psychologists that such therapies are ineffective?<\/p>\n
