Report: US favors Muslim Brotherhood over pro-democracy Syrian opposition<\/a><\/h2>\n

WASHINGTON \u2014 The administration of President Barack Obama has selected the Muslim Brotherhood over the pro-democracy opposition to lead Syria after the expected ouster of President Bashar Assad, a report said. The Hudson Institute, a leading consultant to the Defense Department, asserted that the administration has decided to work with Turkey and the Brotherhood in Syria for a post-Assad government. In a report by Herbert London, the institute said Obama has dismissed the pro-democracy opposition as an alternative.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is not the first time that the Obama Administration has indicated that it wants to work with the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East (see Obama Administration Reaches Out to Muslim Brotherhood<\/a>).\u00a0 Thus, the report may be accurate.<\/p>\n

Notice a translation of what some, who are part of it, write that the Muslim Brotherhood wants:<\/p>\n

…the Islamic Ummah<\/em> [nation] can regain its power and be liberated and assume its rightful position which was intended by Allah, as the most exalted nation among men, as the leaders of humanity…<\/p>\n

He [Hassan al-Banna] felt the grave danger overshadowing the Muslims and the urgent need and obligation which Islam places on every Muslim, man and woman, to act in order to restore the Islamic Caliphate and to reestablish the Islamic State on strong foundations and to liberate the Muslims and defend them from any attack, and to spread the Da\u2019wa (Islamic missionary activity) of Islam in the world and to establish this great religion, which Allah wanted for his servants…<\/p>\n

Some think that Shahada<\/em> (Martyrdom) causes loss and damages the [Muslim Brotherhood] Society, since it has lost influential people in action and Jihad. This is wrong, since the fall of the Shahid<\/em> (Martyr) for the sake of Da’wa<\/em> (Islamic missionary activity) is [seen as] provisions and fuel for the [next] generations, and as a symbol of self sacrifice in the way of the Da’wa<\/em> until realization of the goals which the [Muslim Brotherhood] Society was established for, that is, establishing the State of Islam, headed by the Islamic Caliphate, in order to establish Allah

To bring enough Arab nations together, I have felt that some type of \u201cstrongman\u201d needed to rise up. One who Arabs would tend to respect–who might use the title Imam Mahdi and\/or Caliph. The time may be now for him to rise up and the Muslim Brotherhood may play an important role. The Muslim Brotherhood is is the world\u2019s oldest and largest Islamic political group and has been called the \u201cworld\u2019s most influential Islamist movement\u201d (http:\/\/english.aljazeera.net\/indepth\/2010\/11\/2010111681527837704.html<\/a>)–though some new group could also form.\u00a0 Supporting the Muslim Brotherhood basically means supporting a multi-national Islamic power that wants a strong-man leader.<\/p>\n

We in the Living Church of God <\/a>have long taught that a pan-Islamic leader will rise up in the Middle East and become the final King of the South in Bible prophecy (Daniel 11:40).<\/p>\n

As far as Barack Obama goes, notice something that I wrote in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a> back in 2009:<\/p>\n

the Bible predicts that at the appointed time, a King of the North\u00a0and a King of the South\u00a0with rise. Various statements that Barack Obama\u00a0has made suggest that he will implement policies that will likely help lead to the multi-national formations that will ultimately have these kings.<\/p>\n

Islamic<\/strong> Prophecy: Barack Obama<\/strong> to Aid the Rise of the King of the South<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to a commentary by Amir Taheri\u00a0in Forbes<\/em>, there is an amazing old Shi\u2019ite prophecy that some in Iran believe seems to fit Barack Hussein Obama\u00a0personally:<\/p>\n

Is Barack Obama\u00a0the \u201cpromised warrior<\/strong>\u201d coming to help the Hidden Imam<\/strong> of Shiite Muslims conquer the world?<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em>\u2026a pro-government Web site published a Hadith\u00a0(or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar<\/strong> (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em>According to the tradition, Imam<\/strong> Ali Ibn Abi-Talib<\/strong> (the prophet\u2019s cousin and son-in-law) prophesied<\/strong> that at the End of Times<\/strong> and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a \u201ctall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.\u201d Commanding \u201cthe strongest army on earth,\u201d the new ruler in the West will carry \u201ca clear sign\u201d from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: \u201cShiites should have no doubt that <\/em>he is with us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em>In a curious coincidence Obama\u2019s first and second names\u2013Barack Hussein\u2013mean \u201cthe blessing of Hussein\u201d in Arabic\u00a0and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means \u201che is with us,\u201d the magic formula in Majlisi\u2019s tradition.<\/em><\/p>\n

Because we are near the end of times and<\/em> Barack Hussein Obama\u00a0is considered to be black and <\/em>he is now the new “ruler in the West” and <\/em>he does lead the” strongest army on earth”, it makes sense that a lot of Shi\u2019ite Muslims apparently believe that he may fit that Islamic\u00a0prophecy.\u00a0 Apparently this prediction shows that some type of deal is made between the Mahdi\u00a0(Arabic\u00a0for “the guided one”) and the West.<\/p>\n

Is any of that specific to Barack Obama?…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The fact that his name also seems to closely fit that prophecy suggests that he may. And while Barack Hussein Obama\u00a0himself probably does not believe that “he is with us” (as “o bama” apparently means in Persian) refers to him in that prophecy, the fact is that no other U.S.A.\u00a0president has ever been as close to Muslims as President Obama…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/ins>Barack Obama\u00a0has called for increased dialogue with those considered as enemies of the U.S.A.\u00a0 As mentioned earlier, even some Shi\u2019ite Muslims believe that his presidency may lead to the rise of their Mahdi\u00a0who seems to be the same person that the Bible calls the King of the South.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Because of various actions and statements it has made, the Obama Administration seems determined to (perhaps inadvertently) help support the rise of the final King of the South.
