The official de facto confessed to the United States committing war crimes during the Ukrainian conflict,\u201d<\/em> Antonov <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/EmbUSA\/4025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> in a statement\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Sunday, Kirby\u00a0stated in an <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/kirby-explains-us-sending-controversial-cluster-munitions-ukraine\/story?id=100903339\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interview<\/a> with ABC that he believes <em>\u201cwe can all agree that more civilians have been and will continue to be killed by Russian forces\u2026\u00a0 than will likely be hurt by the use of these cluster munitions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to Antonov, this twisted logic boils down to:\u00a0<em>\u201cit won\u2019t get any worse.\u201d<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/579454-antonov-us-cluster-war-crimes\/\">https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/579454-antonov-us-cluster-war-crimes\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Britain \u201cdiscourages\u201d the use of cluster munitions, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said after the United States agreed to send the bombs to Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Answering reporters\u2019 questions during a by-election campaign stop to Selby on Saturday, Mr. Sunak pointed to the UK\u2019s commitment to the Convention on Cluster Munitions.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>\u201cThe UK is signatory to a convention which prohibits the production or use of cluster munitions and discourages their use,\u201d<\/strong> he told broadcasters. &#8230;<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The United States said on July 7 that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us-will-send-cluster-bombs-to-ukraine-with-conditions_5381389.html\">it will send \u201ccluster munitions\u201d to Ukraine<\/a>\u00a0in its ongoing fight to drive Russian forces out of the country.<\/p>\n<p>But <strong>the use of cluster bombs is making some NATO allies uncomfortable.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After they are fired, cluster munitions open in midair and release small bombs (bomblets) over a wide area to strike several targets simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>Human Rights Watch, and other humanitarian organizations, oppose the devices because some of the bomblets don\u2019t explode when they are deployed.
