CAFOs are bad \u2014 but the new fake food era is going to be even worse. &#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>What Is Fake Meat?<\/h2>\n<p>Fake meat is marketed as a health food, but it\u2019s nothing more than a highly ultraprocessed mixture of chemicals. Impossible Foods, for instance, uses genetic engineering to insert the DNA from soy plants into yeast, creating GE yeast with the gene for soy leghemoglobin.<sup><span id=\"edn9\" data-hash=\"#ednref9\">9<\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Impossible Foods refers to this compound as \u201cheme,\u201d but technically plants produce non-heme iron, and this is GE yeast-derived soy leghemoglobin.<sup><span id=\"edn10\" data-hash=\"#ednref10\">10<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Heme iron only occurs in meat and seafood. Impossible Foods\u2019 GE heme is used in their fake meat burgers as a color additive that makes the product appear to \u201cbleed\u201d like real meat.<\/p>\n<p>The health effects of GE heme are unknown, but this didn\u2019t stop the U.S. Food and Drug Administration from approving soy leghemoglobin in 2019. The Center for Food Safety (CFS) filed a lawsuit challenging the approval, which they called \u201cunusually rapid\u201d<sup><span id=\"edn11\" data-hash=\"#ednref11\">11<\/span><\/sup> and risky for public health. &#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>Impossible Foods\u2019 Fake Meat Is Loaded With Glyphosate, LA<\/h2>\n<p>Considering that many ingredients in fake meat products are made from GE soy,<sup><span id=\"edn16\" data-hash=\"#ednref16\">16<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0it\u2019s not surprising that they\u2019re also contaminated with the herbicide glyphosate. Consumer advocacy group Moms Across America (MAA) commissioned Health Research Institute Labs (HRI Labs), an independent laboratory that tests both micronutrients and toxins found in food, to determine how much glyphosate is in the Impossible Burger and its competitor, the Beyond Burger.<\/p>\n<p>The total result of glyphosate and AMPA, the main metabolite of glyphosate, in the burgers was 11.3 parts per billion (ppb) in the Impossible Burger and 1 ppb in the Beyond Burger.<sup><span id=\"edn17\" data-hash=\"#ednref17\">17<\/span><\/sup> &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The glyphosate in fake meat is one issue. The excess amounts of omega-6 fat in the form of linoleic acid (LA) are another. That type of genetic modification is certainly unnatural.<\/p>\n<p>Bill Gates has been promoting genetic modification of food animals according to the following report:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>January 7, 2023<\/p>\n<p>Through a program called UKAid, billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/expose-news.com\/2023\/01\/04\/bill-gates-gives-ukaid-tens-of-millions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">funneling millions<\/a> into efforts to genetically modify (GMO) the world\u2019s livestock, particularly in poorer countries &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Gates claims his efforts are all about helping more animals survive so children in Africa and South Asia have more access to meat, dairy, and eggs. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Gates himself would never eat a GMO animal \u2013 no, those are for the poor people. And he is spending a\u00a0<i>lot<\/i>\u00a0of money to make it happen.
