COGwriter <\/a><\/p>\n India’s Anna Hazare has agreed to end his hunger strike:<\/p>\n 27 August 2011<\/p>\n (Reuters) – A self-styled Gandhian activist, whose campaign against corruption united millions of Indians, agreed Saturday to end his 12-day hunger strike after the government agreed to his demands for tougher laws against rampant graft.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2011\/08\/27\/us-india-protest-deal-idUSTRE77Q1O320110827<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Obviously, all people are better off when there is less corruption, and his hunger strike did get the attention of India’s Prime Minister.<\/p>\n But I would like to mention famine and hunger.<\/p>\n The Bible tells of the following:<\/p>\n 5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, \u201cCome and see.\u201d So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, \u201cA quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.\u201d (Revelation 6:5-6)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places<\/strong>. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows<\/strong>.\u00a0 (Matthew 24:7-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The beginning of sorrows may have already began and higher food prices seem to be on the horizon.<\/p>\n As Jesus said:<\/p>\n 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch! (Mark 13:36-37)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Tougher times are coming. And for some parts of the world these tougher time may be here now. People who can prepare, should: both spiritually and physically.
