Are food prices approaching a violent tipping point?<\/h2>\n

A provocative new study suggests the timing of the Arab uprisings is linked to global food price spikes, and that prices will soon permanently be above the level which sparks conflicts…The paper concludes: “The current [food price] problem transcends the specific national political crises to represent a global concern about vulnerable populations and social order.” Big trouble, in other words.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/environment\/damian-carrington-blog\/2011\/aug\/25\/food-price-arab-middle-east-protests<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Jesus foretold famines as part of the beginning of sorrows, and during the ride of the third horseman there will be food inflation:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:7-8)<\/p>\n

5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation 6:5-6)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as when, I have speculated that it could start as soon as the Feast of Tabernacles<\/a> in 2011 (which will be in October). And even if not, it appears signs for this to happen are building up, and many negative events are expected.<\/p>\n

Yet, there is good news as ultimately, God\u2019s kingdom will come and food shortages will be gone:<\/p>\n

16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore (Revelation 7:16).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But a terrible hour of trial is coming first (Revelation 3:10; Jeremiah 30:7). But it too will end.<\/p>\n

As Jesus said:<\/p>\n

37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch! (Mark 13:36-37)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tougher times are coming. And for some parts of the world these tougher time may be here now. People who can prepare, should: both spiritually and physically. Westerners need to realize that this will not only affect people in places like Africa, Asia, and the Middle East–the Anglo-descended nations of the West will themselves suffer hunger, civil unrest, famine, and worse.\u00a0 Of course, between the recent London riots in the UK (Ephraim) and “flashmobs” in the USA (Manasseh), to a degree, this unrest has began.<\/p>\n

And speaking of the Anglo-descended nations, in his latest co-worker letter, Dr. Roderick C. Meredith of the Living Church of God<\/a> wrote:<\/p>\n
