Here are some excerpts (<strong>bolding<\/strong> in source):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>September 13, 2023<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Union today<\/strong> reflects the vision of those who dreamt of a better future after <strong>World War II.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A future in which a Union of nations, democracies and people would work together to share peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>They believed that Europe was the answer to the call of history. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When I speak to the new generation of young people, I see that same vision for a better future.<\/p>\n<p>That same burning desire to build something better.<\/p>\n<p>That same belief that in a world of uncertainty, <strong>Europe once again must answer the call of history.<\/strong> &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Together, we have shown that <strong>when Europe is bold, it gets things done.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And our work is far from over &#8211; <strong>so let&#8217;s stand together. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s deliver today and prepare for tomorrow.<\/strong> &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Europe&#8217;s industry is showing every day that it is ready to power this transition.<\/p>\n<p>Proving that <strong>modernisation and decarbonisation<\/strong> can go hand in hand.<\/p>\n<p>In the last five years, the number of <strong>clean steel factories<\/strong> in the EU has grown from zero to 38.<\/p>\n<p>We are now attracting <strong>more investment in clean hydrogen<\/strong> than the US and China <strong>combined<\/strong>. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So far, we have concluded new free trade agreements with <strong>Chile, New Zealand and Kenya<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We should aim to complete deals with <strong>Australia, Mexico and Mercosur by the end of this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And soon thereafter with India and Indonesia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Smart trade delivers good jobs and prosperity.<\/strong> &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Member States have used that investment to digitise their healthcare, justice system or transport network.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Europe has led on <strong>managing the risks of the digital world.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The internet was born as an instrument for <strong>sharing knowledge, opening minds and connecting people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But it has also given <strong>rise to serious challenges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disinformation, spread of harmful content, risks to the privacy of our data<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All of this led to a <strong>lack of trust<\/strong> and a <strong>breach of fundamental rights of people.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In response, Europe has become the <strong>global pioneer of citizen&#8217;s rights<\/strong> in the digital world.<\/p>\n<p>The DSA and DMA\u00a0are\u00a0creating\u00a0a <strong>safer digital space\u00a0<\/strong>where fundamental\u00a0rights are protected.<\/p>\n<p>And they are ensuring fairness\u00a0with clear <strong>responsibilities\u00a0for big tech<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is a historic achievement \u2013 and we should be proud of it.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The same should be true for <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong>.\u00a0 &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We are now laying the foundations for a single governance system in Europe. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>These emerging economies \u2013 with their people and natural assets \u2013 are essential allies in building a cleaner, safer and more prosperous world.<\/p>\n<p>Europe will always work with them to reform and improve the international system.<\/p>\n<p>We want to lead efforts to make the rules-based order fairer and make distribution more equal.<\/p>\n<p>This will also mean working with new and old partners to deepen our connections.<\/p>\n<p>And Europe&#8217;s offer with <strong>Global Gateway<\/strong> is truly unique.<\/p>\n<p>Global Gateway is more transparent, more sustainable, and more economically attractive.<\/p>\n<p>Just last week I was in New Delhi to sign the most ambitious project of our generation.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It will be the most direct connection to date between India, the Arabian Gulf and Europe: With a rail link, that will make trade between India and Europe 40% faster.<\/p>\n<p>With an electricity cable and a clean hydrogen pipeline \u2013 to foster clean energy trade between Asia, the Middle East and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>With a high-speed data cable, to link some of the most innovative digital ecosystems in the world, and create business opportunities all along the way.<\/p>\n<p>These are state-of-the-art connections for the world of tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Faster, shorter, cleaner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And Global Gateway is making the real difference.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have seen it in Latin America, South-East Asia and across Africa \u2013 from building a local hydrogen economy with Namibia and Kenya to a digital economy with the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>These are investments in our partners&#8217; economy.<\/p>\n<p>And they are investments in Europe&#8217;s prosperity and security in a fast-changing world. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In a world where size and weight matters, it is clearly in Europe&#8217;s strategic and security interests to complete our Union.<\/p>\n<p>But beyond the politics and geopolitics of it, we need to picture what is at stake.<\/p>\n<p>We need to set out a vision for a successful enlargement.<\/p>\n<p>A Union complete with over 500 million people living in a free, democratic and prosperous Union. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We have started to build European Defence Union at 27.<\/p>\n<p>And I believe we can finish it at 30+. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>And, yes, that means including through a European Convention and Treaty change if and where it is needed!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But we cannot \u2013 <strong>and we should not \u2013 wait for Treaty change<\/strong> to move ahead with enlargement. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Once again \u2013 this is Europe&#8217;s moment to answer the call of history. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Long live Europe. <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/speech_23_4426\">https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/speech_23_4426<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, the EU President wants Europe to be bold, have better trade with Africa, Asia, and Latin America, more intrusive (which is what the DSA, the Digital Services Act does; for some of where that will lead watch:\u00a0<a id=\"video-title\" class=\"yt-simple-endpoint style-scope ytd-grid-video-renderer\" title=\"666, the Censorship Industrial Complex, and AI\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zmprVdC_fhs\" aria-label=\"666, the Censorship Industrial Complex, and AI by BibleNewsProphecy 96 views 21 hours ago 15 minutes\">666, the Censorship Industrial Complex, and AI<\/a> ), stronger militarily, have more nations part of it, and reorganize.<\/p>\n<p>Her comments related to 30+ are a reference to increasing the number of member nations of the European Union. While many falsely assert that the final European Beast power will only have have 10 or 11 currently existing nations, that is NOT what the Bible teaches in Revelation 17:12-13 (for details, check out the article: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/ten-kings.htm\">Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Europe and its Global Gateway, a reader sent me a link to the following<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Berlin, Brussels and Washington plan traffic corridor from Europe via the Middle East to India. The project is intended to rival the New Silk Road and bind India tighter to the West.<\/h2>\n<div class=\"date\">\n<div class=\"date_day\">12 SEP 2023<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-8\">\n<div class=\"lead\">\n<p><span class=\"city\">BRUSSELS\/WASHINGTON\/NEW DELHI<\/span> (Own report) \u2013 Germany is participating in plans to build a transport corridor all the way to India, in cooperation with the EU and USA. According to a decision taken by Washington, Brussels, Berlin and the governments of other countries on the sidelines of the G20 summit in New Delhi, an India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) is to link Europe and South Asia. It will be a combination of a rail and shipping corridor and include the construction of submarine cables. The delivery of green hydrogen from Israel to Europe is also planned. The project is designed to compete with China\u2019s New Silk Road, as well as to bind New Delhi tighter to the EU and pit it against Beijing. IMEC is the fourth major infrastructure project launched by the EU and USA to diminish the importance of the New Silk Road. Two are considered failures, one (\u201cGlobal Gateway\u201d) is advancing only slowly. &#8230;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Global Gateway<\/h3>\n<p>Currently the EU is pursuing its most recent infrastructure program, that it had launched in late 2021 under the label Global Gateway. This project is also not making as much headway as Brussels would have liked. A year after the program was launched, observers were complaining that until now, mainly long-standing development policy measures are being relabeled \u201cGlobal Gateway\u201d, while others refer to the project as a \u201cbillion-euro bluff.\u201d[6] Brussels has since initiated a whole series of other projects. Alongside improvement projects for energy and transport infrastructure,[7] these projects are particularly aimed at strengthening the EU\u2019s access to vital raw materials for the energy transition \u2013 from lithium to green hydrogen.[8] In effect, the Global Gateway is largely a program to satisfy Europe\u2019s needs in raw materials. The EU Commission boasts that 44 of its 87 infrastructure expansion flagship projects launched before August 2023, were located on the African continent. &#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC)<\/h3>\n<p>In the wings of the G20 Summit, the USA and EU launched their next infrastructure initiative: the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). Besides the United States and the EU, especially Germany, France and Italy, along with India, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are participating. The plan is to construct a transport corridor from India via the Middle East to Europe. A first, eastern corridor will connect India by sea to the Arabian Peninsula. A second northern corridor will connect the countries of the Arabian Peninsula to Europe. The second corridor will integrate Jordan and Israel.[11] The corridor is conceived to link rail and ship transport, i.e., to transit train-delivered goods by ship between Indian and Arabian ports. This will be supplemented by submarine cables for power and data transmission. The delivery of green hydrogen from Israel to Europe is also in planning. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.german-foreign-policy.com\/en\/news\/detail\/9344\">https:\/\/www.german-foreign-policy.com\/en\/news\/detail\/9344<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Note that while the USA is involved, none of the road or railway projects connect to the USA, but basically Europe to Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The EU project is ambitious. It is intended to help ensure, that it, and not China or the USA will gain dominance. This is strategically interesting in that Europe is not intending to spend as much as China, but by being more selective about where to spend its funds, it will mainly fill in \u2018gaps\u2019 that it expects will benefit it the most. Notice that North America is NOT part of the connectivity plans.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, unlike the Chinese plan, the European one involves infrastructure around data and communications technology.<\/p>\n<p>The Bible shows that economically as the \u201cdaughter of Babylon\u201d Europe will rise up in this century\u2013(cf. Revelation chapters 17 &amp; 18)\u2013and this Global Gateway project is another step in that direction.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry\">\n<p>Consider that while China\u2019s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) itself will face various obstacles, it looks to be supportive of some biblical prophecies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Since the Bible teaches that it will be Europe that will dominate world trade, the BRI and Europe\u2019s Global Gateway look to be ways that Europe will get access to markets in Asia and Africa. Roads work both ways. Furthermore, Europe has a long history of trading with Asia and Latin America and is biblically prophesied to continue to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Consider that the Bible teaches the following about an end time European power:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"verse-number\">2 \u2026 Babylon \u2026 3<\/span> <span class=\"verse-3\"> For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury. (Revelation 18:2,3)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The above is referring to the fact that nations of the world are prophesied to get wealthy trading with end time Babylon, which will be a European entity.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 1971, the old Worldwide Church of God (WCG) published the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Momentous, historic events are transforming Western Europe. But most Americans are \u201casleep at the switch\u201d to what is happening. It\u2019s time for a self-centered America to wake up \u2013 before her allies become her enemies. Envision the startling future of Western Europe. A \u2026 union of perhaps 250 million people, surpassing both the United States and the Soviet Union in economic strength, possessing for the first time worldwide political power and influence. One news source recently called it an \u201cenormous, physically powerful beast.\u201d A new Western Europe controlling perhaps half of all world trade, by exclusive arrangements with dozens of nations who produce raw materials. A \u201cUnited States of Europe\u201d possessing one single currency \u2013 a currency so strong that it will replace the U. S. dollar as the kingpin currency of world trade. Plain Truth, 1971)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Now we all know that Europe has its own currency\u2013a currency that some see as the logical replacement for the US dollar for world trade. Now, let me add that less than a decade after the above was published, the WCG publicly announced that Eastern Europe would also be part of this European power. And within a decade of that, Eastern European nations began to officially join in with what has become the European Union (more in Eastern Europe have also applied to become members of the EU). And, in population, the European Union already is actually much larger than that of the USA. The Global Gateway project and the EU&#8217;s support of the G20 connectivity goals are steps intended to help Europe rise up.
