COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n A reader forwarded me the following news items:<\/p>\n As a blend of national and supra-national, the EU resembles the Holy Roman Empire, which united central Europe from the 10th Century until Luther (technically until 1806).\u00a0 http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/finance\/financialcrisis\/8755881\/Germany-and-Greece-flirt-with-mutual-assured-destruction.html<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n This is a true reformation moment in Europe’s history, when a centralised and authoritarian Holy Roman Empire<\/strong>, grown fat and arrogant on the tithes of subject peoples, suddenly overreaches its power and faces a crisis of legitimacy.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/commentisfree\/2011\/sep\/15\/europe-national-identity-debt-crisis<\/a><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The idea of a so-called Holy Roman Empire being formed in Europe is becoming more obvious to even secular news sources.\u00a0 FWIW, Charlemagne was crowned the first Holy Roman Emperor, reputedly with the crown shown above, by Pope Leo III in Rome on Christmas Night, 800 AD.<\/p>\n Now, Pope Benedict XVI is coming to Germany and notice what Germany’s leader stated that she wanted two days ago:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “What the Christian faith has in common should always be remembered,” she said in her weekly video podcast…<\/p>\n “This is a source of strength which we should encourage through dialogue among the religions,” added Merkel, who is leader of the ruling Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party.<\/span>http:\/\/www.google.com\/hostednews\/afp\/article\/ALeqM5jiSDdTVUwXVuVuf7rnVcGC8rwh8Q?docId=CNG.51bb5e6d4f1391dd6fdec28749285e91.561<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n So, even somewhat secular Germany seems to be supportive of the religious aspect of Europe, and hence sounds like it to wants a new “Holy Roman Empire.”<\/p>\n Furthermore, Catholic prophecies look forward to the time of a new Holy Roman Empire and an emperor (who is often referred to as the Great Monarch.<\/p>\n Here is <\/em>some information from my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect <\/a>that documents some of the prophecies about this:<\/p>\n Desmond A. Birch<\/em> (20th<\/sup> century): Several private prophecies of canonized Saints specifically state that there will be a latter restoration of the Holy Roman Empire\u00a0and that there will be at least one last Holy Roman Emperor.<\/p>\n Aystinger the German<\/em> (12th<\/sup> century?):\u00a0 There shall arise in the last times a Prince sprung from the Emperor Charles\u00a0who shall\u2026reform the Church.\u00a0 He will be Emperor of Europe.<\/p>\n St. Methodius<\/em> (385): A day will come when the enemies of Christ\u00a0will boast…Then a Roman emperor will rise in great fury against them…In the last period Christians will not appreciate the great grace of God who provided a Great Monarch, a long duration of peace, a splendid fertility of the earth…Many men will wonder if the Catholic faith is the true and only saving one and whether the Jews are perhaps correct when they still expect the Messias.<\/p>\n D. Birch<\/em> (20th<\/sup> century): Many of the prophecies speak of the fact that the Great King at first will not be well-liked, especially by the French clergy<\/strong>… The Great King will be crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the reigning Pope<\/strong>\u2026A man who will subsequently be known as a great saint will ultimately be elected pope near the end of the Chastisement\u2026He will be heavily responsible for the French acceptance of a king to be their military and civil leader.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The fact that this leader will not, according to Catholic prophecy, be well-like by the French-clergy suggests that he is not one who is truly dedicated to the Catholic faith.\u00a0 I believe he, like Emperor Constantine, will be a politician first and will use religion as a means of unity–and will compromise with what little religion he pretends to have whenever he believes it is in his personal and political interest.<\/p>\n The Bible, as my book as points out, warns against an emerging European Beast power headed up by a semi-religious figure who will have the support of one that I have tended to describe as an antipope (who, BTW, my book states is not believed to be the current pope).\u00a0 More and more steps are taking place for this European Beast power to rise up.<\/p>\n Some articles of possibly related interest may include:<\/em><\/p>\n Who is the King of the North?<\/a> Is there one?
