Worse still, as Alex Tsado, co-founder of the non-profit group Alliance4ai told me, voices outside rich nations have so far been largely excluded from the development and deployment of AI. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Another hot topic this week is how to use digitisation to promote sustainability goals. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Everyone in green tech is obsessed with the periodic table these days: extensive sources of minerals such as lithium and nickel are needed to make renewable energy fly. And the fact that supply chains around these are so China-focused is a source of endless angst on many corporate boards \u2014 not to mention western security institutions. A hot topic at this week\u2019s meeting was whether it is possible to diversify sourcing. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>At the start of the week, the WEF released its annual survey of global risks which suggests that the Davos delegates have a surging appetite for public-private partnerships, along with intra-industry alliances. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/348a6e76-693f-4807-83ef-c886138afb2c\">https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/348a6e76-693f-4807-83ef-c886138afb2c<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That last point, and some like it, drew criticism from Argentina&#8217;s new president:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"headline headline--single-fallback\">Argentinian prez Javier Milei scolds Davos elites with common sense<\/h2>\n<p>Just six weeks into his time in office,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/11\/19\/news\/argentina-elects-shock-therapy-libertarian-javier-milei-as-president\/\">Argentinian President Javier Milei\u00a0<\/a>landed in town.<\/p>\n<p>The 53-year-old\u2019s rise to power last month confused much of the world\u2019s media. Certainly it threw a wrench in the works for glossy international groups like the WEF.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of his election in November,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/11\/20\/opinion\/cry-no-more-for-argentina-its-about-to-be-a-new-model-for-economic-reform\/\">Milei\u2019s brand of politics\u00a0<\/a>was variously described as \u201cfar-right libertarianism\u201d and \u2014 perhaps inevitably \u2014 \u201cTrump-like.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In fact, if his speech this week was anything to go by, Milei is just the sort of free-market capitalist whom places like Davos used to like.<\/p>\n<p>But like many other such organizations, Davos has today become something it was not. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Milei\u2019s speech this week was something like a call back to the organization\u2019s supposed roots. On Wednesday, he warned the WEF that \u201cThe Western world is in danger.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And while the other gods of Davos have spent years saying the same thing, they have come to very different diagnoses.<\/p>\n<p>While the gods of Davos have spent recent years warning against climate change and \u201cpopulism,\u201d Milei has a different prognosis.<\/p>\n<p>He declared that the West is in danger \u201cbecause those who are supposed to have to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism, and thereby to poverty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The world should instead embrace \u201cfree enterprise capitalism\u201d to bring an end to world poverty.<\/p>\n<p>It was a refreshing change for the conference. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/01\/18\/opinion\/argentinian-prez-javier-milei-scolds-davos-elites-with-common-sense\/\">https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/01\/18\/opinion\/argentinian-prez-javier-milei-scolds-davos-elites-with-common-sense\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It not just socialism that the <em>World Economic Forum<\/em> wants. It wants the elites to control basically everything and people to basically own nothing. The agenda it pushes contains many threats to humanity (cf. Matthew 24:21-22).<\/p>\n<p>The WEF even has a term for the non-ownership:<em> servitistation<\/em>. This is how its website defines that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"st__content-block st__content-block--list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Servitisation is where customers pay for a service &#8211; such as air conditioning &#8211; rather than buying the equipment themselves.<\/li>\n<li>This model can be a major contributor to the systemic efficiency approach to decarbonisation.<\/li>\n<li>It also has potential to assist the post-COVID-19 economic recovery. 11\/20\/20 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2020\/11\/what-is-servitization-and-how-can-it-help-save-the-planet\/\">https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2020\/11\/what-is-servitization-and-how-can-it-help-save-the-planet\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Anyway, no I do not believe that servitisation is the answer to economic recovery caused by governmental overreach blamed on COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>And let it be noted that it is not only the WEF, but the United Nations that has pushed for a globalist society in 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina&#8217;s new president opposes it, but some version of what the WEF is pushing for will be put in place within the next decade.<\/p>\n<p>I have long called the <a dir=\"ltr\" title=\"UN's 'New Universal Agenda' is a False Gospel!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NCRh4cNYyc0\" data-sessionlink=\"feature=c4-feed-u&amp;ei=IhgCVuuULtPzqAWW4ZfIDQ&amp;ved=CBQQvxs\">UN\u2019s 2030 \u201c17 Sustainable Development Goals\u201d a &#8220;false gospel<\/a>.&#8221; But that is specifically what the WEF is promoting.<\/p>\n<p>Here is some information about it in our free booklet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/GospeloftheKingdomofGod.pdf\">The Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ccog.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/GOTKOG-Book-Cover-2016-BOTH-FINAL-196x300.jpg\" alt=\"GOTKOG Book Cover 2016 BOTH FINAL\" width=\"251\" height=\"384\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Does humanity have the solutions?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The world faces many problems.<\/p>\n<p>Many people are hungry. Many people are oppressed. Many people face poverty. Many nations are in serious debt. Children, including unborn ones, face abuse. Drug-resistant diseases concern many doctors. Major industrial cities have air too polluted to be healthy. Various politicians threaten war. Terrorist attacks keep happening.<\/p>\n<p>Can world leaders fix the problems facing humanity?<\/p>\n<p>Many think so.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Universal Agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On September 25, 2015, after a key-note speech by the Vatican\u2019s Pope Francis, the 193 nations of the United Nations (UN) voted to implement the \u201c17 Sustainable Development Goals\u201d of what originally was termed the <em>New Universal Agenda<\/em>. Here are the UN\u2019s 17 goals:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 1. End poverty in all its forms everywhere<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 2. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 3. Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 4. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 5. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 6. Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 7. Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 8. Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 9. Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 10. Reduce inequality within and among countries<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 11. Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 12. Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 13. Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 14. Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 15. Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 16. Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Goal 17. Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development<\/p>\n<p>This agenda is supposed to be fully implemented by 2030 and is also called the <em>2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/em>. It aims to solve ailments facing humanity through regulation, education, and international and interfaith cooperation. While many of its objectives are good, some of its methods and goals are evil (cf. Genesis 3:5). This agenda, also, is consistent with Pope Francis\u2019s <em>Laudato Si<\/em> encyclical.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cNew Universal Agenda\u201d could be called the \u201cNew Catholic Agenda\u201d as the word \u201ccatholic\u201d means \u201cuniversal.\u201d Pope Francis called the adoption of the <em>New Universal Agenda<\/em> \u201can important sign of hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a follow-up to the UN agreement, there was a meeting in Paris in December 2015 (officially titled <em>21st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change<\/em>). Pope Francis also praised that international agreement and advised nations \u201cto carefully follow the road ahead, and with an ever-growing sense of solidarity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nearly all the nations in the world agreed to the Paris accords, which had specific environmental goals and financial commitments. (Then US President Barack Obama signed a document to commit the USA to this in 2016, but in 2017, US President Donald Trump stated that the United States would NOT accept the agreed to Paris accords. This caused international outrage and has helped isolate the US from Europe and many other parts of the world.) Pope Francis later stated humanity \u201cwill go down\u201d if it does not make his changes related to the climate.<\/p>\n<p>While no one wants to breath polluted air, go hungry, be impoverished, be endangered, etc., will human attempts to meet the goals of the United Nations\u2019 2030 agenda and\/or the Paris accords solve the problems facing humanity?<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Track Record of the United Nations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The United Nations was formed and established on 24 October 1945, after World War II, in order to prevent another such conflict and to try to promote peace in the world. At its founding, the UN had 51 member states; there are now 193.<\/p>\n<p>There have been hundreds, if not thousands, of conflicts around the world since the United Nations formed, but we have not yet had what could be described as the third World War.<\/p>\n<p>Some believe that international cooperation like the United Nations claims to promote, combined with the type of interfaith and ecumenical agenda that Pope Francis and many other religious leaders are trying to promote, will bring peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>However, the track record for the United Nations to do this has not been good. In addition to the numerous armed conflicts since the United Nations formed, multiple millions are hungry, refugees, and\/or desperately poor.<\/p>\n<p>Over a decade ago, the United Nations set forth to implement its <em>Millennium Development Goals<\/em>. It had eight \u201cdevelopment goals,\u201d but this did not succeed, even according to the UN itself. So, in 2015, its so-called \u201c17 Sustainable Development Goals\u201d were adopted. Some are optimistic. Some consider it a utopian fantasy.<\/p>\n<p>As far as utopia goes, on May 6, 2016, Pope Francis said he dreamed of a humane European utopia that his church could help that continent attain. Yet, the Pope\u2019s dream will turn out to be a nightmare (cf. Revelation 18).<\/p>\n<p><strong>There May Be Some Cooperation and Success, But \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Merriam Webster\u2019s Dictionary<\/em> states that utopia is \u201can imaginary place in which the government, laws, and social conditions are perfect.\u201d The Bible teaches that humanity cannot solve its problems on its own:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><sup>23<\/sup> O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. (Jeremiah 10:23, NKJV throughout unless otherwise indicated)<\/p>\n<p>The Bible teaches that international cooperation will fail:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><sup>16<\/sup> Destruction and misery are in their ways; <sup>17<\/sup> And the way of peace they have not known. <sup>18<\/sup> There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Romans 3:16-18)<\/p>\n<p>Yet, many humans are working towards their view of a utopian society and even sometimes try to involve religion. But almost none are willing to follow the ways of the one true God. It is not that there will be no progress towards any of the United Nation\u2019s or the Vatican\u2019s goals. There will be some, as well as some setbacks.<\/p>\n<p>Actually, and probably after massive conflict, a type of international peace deal will be agreed to and confirmed (Daniel 9:27). When it is, many will falsely tend to believe that humanity will be bringing about a more peaceful and utopian society.<\/p>\n<p>Many will be taken in by such international \u2018utopian progress\u2019 (cf. Ezekiel 13:10) as well as by various signs and wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). But the Bible says such peace will not last (Daniel 9:27; 11:31-44), despite what leaders may claim (1 Thessalonians 5:3; Isaiah 59:8).<\/p>\n<p>The idea that, apart from Jesus, humanity can bring utopia in this \u2018present evil age\u2019 is a false gospel (Galatians 1:3-10).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Here is a link to our free online booklet <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/GospeloftheKingdomofGod.pdf\"><em>The Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/em><\/a>. (Isaiah 3:12)<\/p>\n<p>16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).<\/p>\n<p>3 For when they say, &#8220;Peace and safety!&#8221; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
