Welcome back. Donald Trump\u2019s victory in New Hampshire\u2019s Republican primary this week makes it urgent for Europeans to confront the question \u2014 what if the former US president wins the election in November? Can or should Europe make itself \u201cTrump-proof\u201d? …<\/p>\n

Like millions of voters, mainstream European politicians and policymakers are concerned about what might unfold during a Trump second term. In an unusual public statement for a central banker, Christine Lagarde, the European Central Bank chief, said the return of Trump would be \u201cclearly a threat\u201d \u2014 in terms of trade protectionism, US support for Nato and efforts to combat climate change.<\/p>\n

According to Thierry Breton, France\u2019s EU commissioner, Trump told European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen in 2020 that \u201cif Europe is under attack we will never come to help you\u201d. Nato\u2019s future is at the heart of Europe\u2019s fears. Even hard-right leaders like Meloni are strong supporters of the Atlantic alliance. …<\/p>\n

Coping with Trump As far as concerns US-European economic relations, the danger is that Trump would slap protectionist tariffs on imports from the EU and the 27-nation bloc would struggle to find an adequate response. A trade war would be pointless, as Bond writes, because it would probably be \u201cmore damaging to the EU than the US\u201d.<\/p>\n

The impact of a Trump second term would be serious enough in terms of transatlantic security and trade. But the most dramatic impact of all could be on democracy \u2014 in Europe and beyond. I fully endorse the view of Andrew Gawthorpe, writing for the Foreign Policy Centre: \u201cPolitical trends which begin in the United States rarely stay there, and a crisis of democracy at the heart of the western alliance would likely weaken the commitment to democratic and legal norms throughout the rest of the world.\u201d https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/9ef98d1b-ccfc-4cb5-8889-bb70316f2387<\/a><\/p>\n

The more likely it seems that\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0will be the Republican Party’s\u00a0nominee for the US presidency<\/a>, the louder the voices become that warn\u00a0Europe to prepare itself for a second Trump term in the White House.<\/p>\n

In an interview with French public broadcaster France 2, Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank, described the possible election of Donald Trump as a “clear threat” to Europe.<\/p>\n

Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo told the European Parliament in mid-January that “if 2024 brings us ‘America First’ again, it is really more than ever ‘Europe on its own.'”<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0paper<\/a>\u00a0published by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) think tank, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt predicted far-reaching global consequences if Trump were reelected.<\/p>\n

“The US would abandon climate policy and expand investments in fossil fuels.\u00a0NATO<\/a> would be \u2014 at best \u2014 dormant. There would be cozy get-togethers with buddies Putin and Orban. Trade wars would harden,” he wrote. …<\/p>\n

Sudha David-Wilp, the director of the Berlin office of the German Marshall Fund,\u00a0a think tank\u00a0funded by the US government, the German government and the EU Commission,\u00a0told DW that her main concern was\u00a0over Europe’s military capabilities.<\/p>\n

“It’s very important that Europe becomes a strong actor, militarily, in a conventional sense, that it’s able to take care of security issues in its immediate neighborhood,” David-Wilp\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

In addition, she said, Europe must also “be a strong partner for Asia, for Europe, when it comes to warding off external threats from authoritarian forces, and also get strong economically to prepare for potential protectionist measures from a second President Trump term.”\u00a0\u00a0https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/is-europe-ready-for-another-donald-trump-presidency\/a-68074784<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, Europe has trade, military, and even democracy concerns.<\/p>\n

As I long warned, trade disputes will be a factor that turn the Europeans against the USA.<\/p>\n

And yes, whether or not it has any significant relationship to a possible Donald Trump 2.0. the prophesied fact is that Europe will cease many of its pretenses of democracy and will turn power over to a dictator that the Bible calls the Beast:<\/a><\/p>\n

12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are\u00a0ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.\u00a0 (Revelation 17:12-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, Europe will change.<\/p>\n

Consider also that I made a number of warnings about Donald Trump years ago, which he has at least partially fulfilled.<\/p>\n

Let’s consider four here.<\/p>\n

WARNING ONE: Donald Trump will offend the Europeans.<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that the USA will be betrayed by friends (cf. Lamentations 1:1-2) and the USA will one day be taken over by a European led power (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Here are some warnings I made that Donald Trump would offend the Europeans:<\/p>\n

Should he actually become President of the United States, his flamboyance and brashness are bound to offend the Europeans, and ultimately that will not turn out well for the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39). (Thiel B. Can Donald Trump make America great again?<\/a> COGwriter, December 20, 2015)<\/p>\n

Donald Trump will take steps to upset the Europeans. (Thiel B. Savage claims Obama would trash the economy if Trump wins; German press sees USA becoming more rotten<\/a>. COGwriter, May 3, 2016)<\/p>\n

Should Donald Trump become USA president, look for him to even more offend the Europeans. (Thiel B. Hillary Clinton, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States<\/a>. Nazarene Books, June 2016, p. 98)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Has he?<\/p>\n

Certainly. There are many examples, but here are three: Shadow president or mere shadow? In Europe, Pence seeks to reassure allies unnerved by Trump<\/a> and G20 concludes with increased tension with the USA; Pope Francis pushes for federal Europe<\/a> and Angela Merkel again says EU \u2018can\u2019t rely\u2019 on USA, FPIF says \u2018Europe should bolt NATO\u2019<\/a> and Europe concerned about Donald Trump<\/a> and \u2018Trump Claims Germany Owes $1 Trillion In NATO Obligations\u2019 \u2018A European travel ban on Americans could be a sign of disastrous things to come \u2026\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Will Europe\u2019s Revolt Against Donald Trump Lead to WWIII?<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

The reaction of many leaders in Europe to US President Donald Trump\u2019s trade statements and his withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear arms deal has led some to state this is a \u201crevolt\u201d from Europe. Some say \u2018America First.\u2019 should lead to \u2018Europe First.\u2019 It has been reported that Europe needs to be \u201cclever\u201d as it develops its military and economy to be less dependent upon the USA. EU Council President Donald Tusk tweeted that with friends like the USA, who needs enemies. EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said , \u201cWe have to replace the United States.\u201d Will some of the unintended consequences of Donald Trump\u2019s actions lead to World War Three and the end of the USA? Does the Bible teach this? Does the Bible teach that friendly allies will become enemies? Will an ally that defeats the USA say it happened because of being clever? Are things the same or are we seeing real changes that align with properly understood biblical prophecies? May 28, 2017<\/p>\n

\u201cEurope is the answer,\u201d Schulz said. \u201cCloser European cooperation on all fronts is the answer to Donald Trump. Above all, we cannot let ourselves be subjugated to Trump\u2019s rearmament policy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schulz, who served as president of the European Parliament from 2012 to 2017, said European states must take a decisive approach to dealing with Trump, whose presentation and attitude in Brussels and Taormina he compared to that of a dictator. http:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/merkel-europe-can-no-longer-rely-on-us-and-britain\/a-39018097?maca=en-rss-en-all-1573-rdf<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This was warned about on the COGwriter.com news page. Some of his statements may be leading to the rise of the prophesied King of the North<\/a>, who is to be the final leader of the Beast of Revelation<\/a> (Revelation 13:1). (Thiel B. Some additional European unity will be needed for that to occur (cf. Revelation 17:12-13) and Donald Trump has already been a motivator for this.<\/p>\n

The day AFTER the November 2016 election, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker sent out a tweet over Twitter:<\/p>\n

Trump wins \u2026 Wake up call for Europe to further unite & take charge of its own destiny (11\/09\/16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How did I know Donald Trump could trigger this?<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that Europe will rise up again (Revelation 13:1-10), have a great army (Daniel 11:25), and will one day defeat the USA (Daniel 11:39). Because of where we are in God\u2019s 6000\/7000 year plan (see Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?<\/a>), the timing of Donald Trump and Europe\u2019s disdain for him fit.<\/p>\n

BRUSSELS \u2014 European Council President Donald Tusk on Tuesday lobbed a verbal grenade at President Trump ahead of a crucial week of diplomacy, warning the U.S. leader not to mix up his friends and his rivals …<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to address President Trump directly, who for a long time now has been criticizing Europe almost daily for, in his view, insufficient contributions to the common defense capabilities,\u201d Tusk said after signing a cooperation agreement between the European Union and NATO. …<\/p>\n

\u201cDear America, appreciate your allies. After all, you don\u2019t have that many. WARNING THREE: This warning was that Donald Trump\u2019s rise would encourage the Europeans to arm:<\/p>\n

If he becomes president, Europeans will intensify their desire to arm themselves. (Thiel B. BBC: \u2018Europe hates Trump. Does it matter?\u2019<\/a> COGwriter, March 4, 2016)<\/p>\n

I have been saying for a long time that Donald Trump\u2019s rise would encourage the Europeans to arm. (Thiel B. Growing anti-Americanism will change the USA\/UK world order<\/a>. COGwriter, October 3, 2016)<\/p>\n

Since 2015, I have written that Donald Trump\u2019s rise would be a factor in Europe deciding it needs more unity and its own army. (Thiel B. As foretold here, more calls for a European army! 10 November 2016<\/p>\n

Europe should build its own army and not rely on security guarantees from Washington, the European Commission president said following the election of Donald Trump. At the same time, Jean-Claude Juncker called for the preservation of the transatlantic partnership. \u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need more security in Europe, and I do not mean just the anti-terror fight,\u201d<\/em> Juncker said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalking about security we need a different way of organizing a European defense \u2026 the French National Assembly in 1954 prevented the European community of defense.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe need it now. The idea that the Americans will eternally see to \u2026 European security is not true. Independent of the outcome of the US election, the Americans will not see to Europe\u2019s security forever. We have to do it ourselves. And this is why we need a new approach to the European community of defense, including a European army,\u201d<\/em> Juncker said. \u2026<\/p>\n

The EU ministers are expected to meet in Brussels on Monday to discuss plans to strengthen the EU military cooperation and capabilities. https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/366177-european-army-security-juncker\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Furthermore, in December 2017, Europe\u2019s new military cooperation organization, called PESCO (Permanent Structured Cooperation), formed (see PESCO: The making of a European Defence Union<\/a>) and announced plans related to military cooperation and technology (see PESCO moving forward with technology<\/a>).<\/p>\n

WARNING FOUR: This was a warning related to the fourth: Germany will want a stronger military.<\/p>\n

The above was partially based upon Isaiah 10:5-12 which tells of a Germanic-influenced power taking over places, which in the end time include the USA (see also Germany in Biblical Prophecy<\/a>).<\/p>\n

On November 7, 2016 (the day before Donald Trump\u2019s election), I posted:<\/p>\n

If Donald Trump is elected, the Germans will see this as proof that they cannot rely on the USA for their defense, etc. Germany will push for a European army. Some in Europe actually want Donald Trump to win for this basic reason (see \u2018Why Europe Secretly Roots For Donald Trump\u2019?<\/a>). (Thiel B. Was this fifth warning confirmed?<\/p>\n

Yes.<\/p>\n

By November 11, 2016, German leaders did so, with at least one doing so publicly (see Thiel B. As foretold here, more calls for a European army! Guttenberg: \u2018There will be a terrible awakening for Europe\u2019<\/a>. COGwriter, November 11, 2016). In addition, a survey in late December 2016 found that the majority of Germans want to build a formidable European army. (Thiel B. Majority of Germans want a European army<\/a>. COGwriter, December 30, 2016). In 2017, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Europe should now longer be naive and rely on others for defense (Thiel B. Donald Trump says he\u2019s a \u2018stable genius\u2019 as Europe is driven to arm<\/a>. COGwriter, January 6, 2018).<\/p>\n

Could preparations for WWIII began? German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron called for a European army to be independent of the USA and NATO. One of the reasons was to be able to protect against the USA. Is the fourth German reich in progress? What does the Bible teach about Germany, Europe, and WW3? Anyway, the prospect of another Donald Trump presidency is alarming the Europeans.<\/p>\n

Europe is in the process of developing “a great army” (Daniel 11:25), will have “many ships” (Daniel 11:40), and will successfully conquer the power with the “strongest fortresses” (Daniel 11:39).<\/p>\n

Since the USA is the power in the 21st century with the “strongest fortresses” this should concern all who place their trust in the military of the USA.<\/p>\n

There will be conflict between Europe and the USA–and despite what most in the USA–including Donald Trump–think, the USA ultimately will lose according to the Bible.<\/p>\n
