The situation in Libya is changing.\u00a0 The Islamists want real power as they do not wish to be marginalized.\u00a0 And, ultimately, the Bible shows in that region that the final King of the South<\/a> will rise up. The more chaos there becomes in the world in general, and the Middle East\/North Africa in particular, the more the stage is being set for the people there to desire to support such a leader.<\/p>\n

While many of the nations affected by the Arab Spring are hinting towards secular governments, ultimately, it is much more likely that a type of imam (religious leader) promoting a certain brand of Islam will end up being the primary leader of many of the Arab nations.<\/p>\n

Libyans in particular should pay careful attention to what happens to the King of the South as well as Libya itself according to Bible prophecy:<\/p>\n

40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. (Daniel 11:40-43)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Libya is going to be specifically involved. Calling for Islamists to be part of the next government in Libya may be another step in that future involvement.<\/p>\n

Perhaps I should also mention that the Obama Administration sent a paper to Congress in June 2011 explaining part of why the USA should talk with what some hope is a moderate Islamist group in Libya, the Muslim Brotherhood (Muslim Brotherhood is Increasing its Influence<\/a>).\u00a0 The goal of the Muslim Brotherhood is to unite the Arabs into a multi-national confederation\/empire called a caliphate to be ruled by an Islamic imam.\u00a0 Something like this will happen.<\/p>\n

The result of the Arab uprisings, as Daniel 11:40-43 shows, will be an unsuccessful attack on Europe<\/a> and the elimination of any Islamic empire.<\/p>\n
