US Establishes New Stockpile In Australia To Prepare For War Over Taiwan<\/h2>\n

February 5, 2024<\/p>\n

The US created a new stockpile of military equipment during drills in Australia last summer to prepare for a future war with China over Taiwan,\u00a0Reuters<\/em><\/a>\u00a0reported on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The stockpile was left behind after the Talisman Sabre exercises, which ran from July 22 to August 4 and were\u00a0billed as the largest-ever iteration of the drill<\/a>, demonstrating US focus on preparing for a future conflict in the Asia Pacific<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Reuters<\/em>\u00a0report said the equipment left behind includes 330 vehicles and trailers and 130 containers <\/strong>in a warehouse in Bandiana, a suburb of Wodonga, a city in southeastern Australia.<\/p>\n

The supplies are enough to supply three logistics companies that would focus on getting equipment to US troops who are fighting a war elsewhere in the region<\/strong>. \u201cWe\u2019re looking to do this more and more,\u201d said Gen.\u00a0Charles Flynn, the top Army commander in the Pacific. \u201cThere\u2019s a number of other countries in the region where we already have agreements to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The US is working to establish stockpiles in the Philippines, Japan, and other countries in the region. Congress is also looking to establish a weapons stockpile in Taiwan itself, something that might not be publicized\u00a0due to the risk of provoking China.<\/a><\/p>\n

US Army Secretary Christine Wormuth\u00a0said last year that the Army\u2019s role in a future war with China would be to establish \u201cstaging bases for the Navy, for the Marines, for the Air Force\u201d<\/strong> and to \u201cprovide intra-theater sustainment\u201d using the weapons stockpiles and watercraft. https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/geopolitical\/us-establishes-new-stockpile-australia-prepare-war-over-taiwan<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Australia is probably pleased to have the munitions and other supplies. Australia is relying on the USA to protect it from the Peoples Republic of China.<\/p>\n

However, that will not work in the long run as after the USA is gone, China will find Australia a fairly easy target.<\/p>\n

While carnally speaking, reliance on the military of the USA would seem to make sense for Australia and Taiwan, Bible prophecy shows that will not succeed, not too many years from now. The prophetic reality is that the US military will NOT be able to protect Taiwan, Australia, and other parts of the world in the future.<\/p>\n

As regular readers of this page are aware, since 2009 (in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/em>), I wrote that China may take over Australia, and possibly New Zealand. Since I wrote that, my belief in that outcome has increased.<\/p>\n

Alliances with the USA and UK will NOT be able to protect Australia against powers like China.<\/p>\n

On June 24, 2010, the day it was announced that she became Prime Minister of Australia, I warned that I felt that Julia Gillard would take steps to fulfill prophecies that also could get the Chinese interested in taking over Australia (see Australia Now Has a Female Prime Minister: Prophetic Ramifications?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Xi warned Biden during summit that Beijing will reunify Taiwan with China<\/h2>\n

Chinese President Xi Jinping bluntly told President Joe Biden during their\u00a0recent summit in San Francisco that Beijing will reunify Taiwan with mainland China but\u00a0that the timing has not yet been decided,\u00a0according to\u00a0three current and former U.S. officials.<\/p>\n

Xi told Biden\u00a0in a group meeting attended by a dozen American and Chinese officials that\u00a0China\u2019s\u00a0preference is\u00a0to take\u00a0Taiwan peacefully, not by force,\u00a0the officials said.<\/p>\n

The Chinese leader also referenced public predictions<\/a> by U.S. military leaders who say that Xi plans to take Taiwan in 2025 or 2027, telling Biden that they were wrong because he has not set a time frame, according to the two current and one former official briefed on the meeting.\u00a0 …<\/p>\n

Xi\u2019s\u00a0private warning\u00a0to Biden, while not markedly different from his\u00a0past\u00a0public comments<\/a>\u00a0on reunifying Taiwan, got the attention of U.S. officials because it was delivered at a time when China\u2019s behavior toward Taiwan is seen as increasingly aggressive and ahead of a potentially pivotal\u00a0presidential\u00a0election in the self-governing democratic island next month.<\/p>\n

After the initial publication of this story, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., issued a statement calling for Republicans and Democrats to work together to deter China. https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/china\/xi-warned-biden-summit-beijing-will-reunify-taiwan-china-rcna130087<\/a><\/p>\n

The news of Xi’s message to Biden comes as Taiwan prepares for presidential and parliamentary elections on Jan. 13.<\/p>\n

China has ramped up military pressure to assert its claims over Taiwan, including two major war games in the past two years.<\/p>\n

Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen has appealed to voters<\/a> to remember what had happened to Chinese-controlled Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

“I want to ask you all here, does anyone want war? Nobody does,” she said on Dec. 3. “Look at Hong Kong and think of Taiwan. We don’t want Hong Kong-style peace. We want dignified peace.”<\/p>\n

Hong Kong, a former British colony, was returned to Chinese rule in 1997 with the promise of wide autonomy under a “one country, two systems” framework, which China has also offered to Taiwan \u2014 with little support on the island.<\/p>\n

Xi, speaking at last year’s Chinese Communist Party Congress, said China would attack Taiwan militarily if it declares independence with foreign support. https:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/newsfront\/china-reunify-taiwan\/2023\/12\/20\/id\/1146605\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

China has long wanted Taiwan back, so the above is not a surprise.<\/p>\n

Despite Taiwan’s recent election last month (see BBC: William Lai, who China sees as \u2018troublemaker\u2019, wins Taiwan election<\/a>), Taiwan will end up under China’s control.<\/p>\n

China does have the military ability to take over Taiwan. And it has repeatedly made it clear that it expects Taiwan to reunify.<\/p>\n

China has been biding its time, while also planning various ways to get Taiwan to reunify with it.<\/p>\n

Since no later than 2009, I have posted on this COGwriter Church of God New page my position that Taiwan will end up aligning with China.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because of certain biblical prophecies such as the following:<\/p>\n

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. (Revelation 16:12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Perhaps it should be mentioned that instead of “kings of the east,” that part of Revelation 16:12 is more literally, “kings of the sunrise”:<\/p>\n

12 And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way might be prepared of the kings of the rising of the sun. (Revelation 16:12, Berean Literal Bible)<\/p>\n

Taiwan is even further east, an earlier ‘sunrise’ location, than China.<\/p>\n

Plus, China is clear that it wants Taiwan.<\/p>\n

China could decide now to impose a naval blockade or take stronger military steps.<\/p>\n

China may figure that the USA does not really want a war with it and may take steps to takeover Taiwan now.<\/p>\n

Or it could wait until after the USA is conquered (Daniel 11:39) when those in Taiwan would be more willing to attempt to make a deal with the People\u2019s Republic of China (PRC)–a deal that will make Taiwan formally part of the PRC.<\/p>\n

In the future, the Bible shows that massive army will gather. China and Taiwan would be expected to provide troops for the coming 200 million man army the Bible warns will form and be involved with Armageddon:<\/p>\n

13 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, \u201cRelease the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.\u201d 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million<\/strong>; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow<\/strong>; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed\u2013by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths (Revelation 9:13-18).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

China must be involved as only China, and possibly India and others in Asia (which seemingly will also align themselves with Russia against the European Empire per Jeremiah 50:41-42), is capable of fielding a two hundred million man army. Closer ties between the Asians, despite occasional setbacks, will result in the fulfillment of biblical prophecies.<\/p>\n

So, yes, there will be increased cooperation between Taiwan and China in the future.<\/p>\n

Chairman Mao allegedly boasted in the 1960s he could raise up an army of two hundred million men, and according to one source, he referenced that prophecy in Revelation.<\/p>\n

While Mao is gone, the population of China has risen since, making the raising of such an army even more feasible.<\/p>\n

Although Armageddon is at least seven years off, China\u2019s interest in Taiwan, its economic might, and its \u2018Silk Road\u2019 project are helping set the stage for it.<\/p>\n

Even though it has some hope in the USA, Taiwan will NOT be able to rely on the USA for anything at all, too many years from now, as we are getting closer to the end of the USA and the start of the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21-22; watch also Could the USA prophesied to be destroyed by the end of 2028?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Despite what Taiwan’s current leaders may say, Taiwan will align with the PRC.<\/p>\n

\n

China is trying to rise up and spread its influence. The various conflicts between the USA and China have been tending to drain USA military resources away from Europe. This is making the USA weaker in Europe and has helped motivate the Europeans to strive to become more militarily independent from the USA.<\/p>\n

That is actually consistent with something that the old\u00a0Plain Truth<\/em>\u00a0magazine published back in 1984:<\/p>\n

Drifting Away from Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is a fact of immense importance, though recognized only faintly by most Americans, that culturally, economically \u2014 and soon strategically as well \u2014 the United States is drifting out of the Atlantic orbit.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

For years now there has been a perceptible shift in the United States away from its historic attachment to Europe into a much closer relationship with the nations of the Pacific basin.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe overwhelming European influence on our culture is on the wane and giving way to the Orient,\u201d Frederick Allen, Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. vice-president, commented in an interview published early in 1983.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Franc Viviano, an editor of Pacific News Service in San\u2019 Francisco, added that \u201conce the word \u2018immigration\u2019 was synonymous with the arrival of Europeans, and later with Latin Americans. Today two of every five newcomers to the United States are Asian.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cConsider the fact,\u201d added Mr. Viviano, in echoing Premier Zhao\u2019s remarks, \u201cthat in 1982-83, for the first time in history, overall U.S. trade with Pacific nations exceeded that with Atlantic nations, registering a record $121,200,000,000.\u201d
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

This shift toward the Pacific, in turn, plays a significant role in the rift now developing between the United States and its Western alliance allies in Europe.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur future lies in Asia\u201d is the recurring theme in some influential economic and political circles in the United States. This viewpoint is usually coupled with the call for the United States to eventually cut defense ties to Europe, to pull United States troops out of the Continent.\u00a0 \u2026<\/span>\u00a0then let the Europeans either defend themselves or make their own security arrangements with the Soviet Union.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n
