Hamas is trying to incite a regional escalation during the Muslim holiday of Ramadan, according to a joint statement released by Israel\u2019s Mossad intelligence agency and the Prime Minister\u2019s Office\u00a0 …<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hamas has been clear about its intentions regarding Ramadan for several weeks.<\/p>\n

Ismail Haniyeh, the Doha-based leader of Hamas\u2019s political wing, last month urged the Iran-led \u201cAxis of Resistance\u201d to step up attacks on Israel during the holiday, calling for a \u201cbroad and international movement to break the siege on Al-Aqsa mosque\u201d in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny flexibility in negotiations, out of concern for the blood of our people, is matched by a readiness to defend it,\u201d said Haniyeh, referring to ceasefire talks.<\/p>\n

The \u201cAxis of Resistance\u201d includes Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Houthis and other Iranian-backed terrorist groups in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

The terror leader also called on Palestinians in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria to storm the Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount on the first day of Ramadan. …<\/p>\n

\u201cThe main goal of Hamas is to take Ramadan, with an emphasis on the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, and turn it into the second phase of their plan that began on Oct. 7. This is the main goal of Hamas, and it is being amplified by Iran and Hezbollah,\u201d said Gallant.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must not give Hamas what it failed to achieve during the beginning of the war and [let it achieve] \u2018unity of the fronts,\u2019\u201d he added, in reference to the terrorist group\u2019s attempts to spark a multi-front war. https:\/\/israel365news.com\/387648\/hamas-striving-to-ignite-the-region-during-ramadan-says-mossad\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One of the reasons that Hamas claimed for its October 7th attack was that it was concerned that because Israel may have a red heifer ready for sacrifice, that it may decide to one day clear the Al-Asqa Mosque off the area known as the Temple Mount (see I365: Hamas Spokesman: Oct 7 attack launched to stop the red heifers<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Sound far-fetched?<\/p>\n

Well, notice something from two webpages of the Temple Institute:<\/p>\n

In our own times<\/strong>, the commandment of the red heifer takes on more and more significance. For without it, the Divine service of the Holy Temple cannot be resumed. There is a spiritual renaissance today in Israel; after almost 2,000 years, Israel is clearly moving towards the time when the Holy Temple on Mount Moriah – the prophesied Third Temple – will be rebuilt. https:\/\/templeinstitute.org\/red-heifer-introduction\/<\/a> accessed 03\/11\/24<\/p>\n

Geo-politically, the Temple Mount has to be cleared of the Dome of the Rock and the mosques which are presently located upon it before the physical rebuilding of the Holy Temple can begin. Many scenarios can be imagined which would accomplish this, the most promising, and not necessarily the most far-fetched, would entail Moslem recognition of the Mount as the intended location for the rebuilt Temple. With the acquiescence of the Moslem world the Moslem structures currently on the Mount would be disassembled and reassembled elsewhere. https:\/\/templeinstitute.org\/frequently-asked-questions\/<\/a> accessed 03\/11\/24<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, yes, the idea that some Jews want the Al-Asqa Mosque, which is on the area called the Temple Mount, removed is not something that Hamas invented. And yes, there are ties to that removal and a red heifer according to the Temple Institute.<\/p>\n

That said, Hamas wants Israel eliminated as that is clear from one of Hamas\u2019 official founding documents:<\/p>\n

THE COVENANT OF THE HAMAS\u00a0 . . .<\/p>\n

On the Destruction of Israel:
\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2013
\n\u2018Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.\u2019 (Preamble)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad want Israel gone.<\/p>\n

Yes, they would like to see a broader regional war.<\/p>\n

An expanded regional war involving Israel, Iran, and others may well happen soon, consistent with Isaiah 22:6-11. If Jesus is to return as early as in 2031, I would expect that war this year.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Consider the following prophecy from the Book of Daniel:<\/p>\n

26 And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The “people” who destroyed “the city and the sanctuary” and the sanctuary were from the Roman army in 70 A.D. The Roman army consisted of primarily Europeans. The “prince who is to come” will be someone from Europe who is not holding the top position when “he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week.” Since we see that the one called “the prince” in verse 26 stops the sacrifices in verse 27, we can tie that in with the actions of the King of the North<\/a> in Daniel 11:31 who brings that about. That prince of Daniel (;25 is the one that rises and becomes the final King of the North<\/a> in Daniel 11.<\/p>\n

The “one week” has, since at least the 3rd century, been understood by prophecy watchers to be a seven-year period.<\/p>\n

The fact that this will be broken in the middle, which would be 3 1\/2 years, and the fact that the Bible points to a 3 1\/2 year period of the Great Tribulation and Day of the Lord after the deal is broken and Jesus will return (Daniel 7:25, 12:7; Revelation 12:17; cf. Revelation 13:5) essentially points to Jesus returning seven years after a non-top leader confirms the deal.<\/p>\n

Since it is not likely such a deal can happen until after a destructive regional war, and such a war is prophesied in Isaiah 22:6-9), if that war happens in 2024 and the deal is confirmed according to scripture, then we would expect to see the return of Jesus in 2031.<\/p>\n

Let me add that the confirmation of that deal by one who the Bible calls a “prince” will, in a sense, set of the final clock to the countdown to the start of the Great Tribulation and then the return of Jesus.<\/p>\n

We may see that this year.<\/p>\n
