The European Union keeps making new rules in its attempt to be the lead in setting standards for the world related to control of the internet and other matters:<\/p>\n

How EU Law Has Made The Internet Less Free For Everyone Else<\/h2>\n

If you have been using the internet for longer than a couple of years, you might have noticed that it used to be much \u201cfreer.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n

What freer means in this context is that there was less censorship and less stringent rules regarding copyright violations on social media websites …<\/p>\n

EU regulations played a part in bringing it about. The first important piece of\u00a0regulation<\/a>\u00a0we will deal with is the\u00a0Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market that came out in 2019.<\/strong> Article 17 of this directive states that online content-sharing service platforms are liable for the copyrighted content that is posted on their websites if they do not have a license for said content. To be exempt from liability, the websites must show that they exerted their best efforts to ensure that copyrighted content does not get posted on their sites, cooperated expeditiously to take the content down if posted, and took measures to make sure the content does not get uploaded again. If these websites were ever in a place to be liable for even a significant minority of the content uploaded to them, the financial ramifications would be immense.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to this regulation, around the same period, YouTube and many other sites strengthened their policy regarding\u00a0copyrighted content<\/a>, and ever since then\u2014sometimes rightfully, sometimes wrongfully\u2014content creators<\/a>\u00a0have been complaining about their videos getting flagged for copyright violations.<\/p>\n

Another EU regulation that is of note for our topic is the\u00a0Digital Services Act\u00a0<\/a>that came out in 2023. <\/strong>The Digital Services Act is a regulation that defines very large online platforms and search engines as platform sites with more than forty-five million active monthly users and places specific burdens on these sites along with the regulatory burden that is eligible for all online platforms. … The vagueness of terms such as \u201chate speech\u201d and \u201cdisinformation\u201d allows the EU to influence the recommendation algorithms and terms of service of these websites and to keep any content that goes against their \u201cideals\u201d away from the spotlight or away from these websites entirely.<\/strong> … supranational bodies such as the EU and the EU Commission have vested political incentives and are influenced by many lobbies, which may render their decisions regarding what is the \u201ctruth\u201d and what is \u201cdisinformation\u201d to be faulty at best and deliberately harmful at worst.<\/strong> …<\/p>\n

Another important thing to note is that just because it is the EU that makes these regulations does not change the fact that it affects everyone in the world. …<\/p>\n

One final issue of importance is the fact that the EU is investing in new technologies such as artificial intelligence programs to \u201ctackle disinformation\u201d and to check the veracity of content posted online. An important example of this is the\u00a0InVID project,<\/a>\u00a0which is in its own words \u201ca knowledge verification platform to detect emerging stories and assess the reliability of newsworthy video files and content spread via social media.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Last month, the EU went for regulation of Artificial Intelligence (see CNBC: World\u2019s first major act to regulate AI passed by European lawmakers<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Since from at least as far back as 2007, I have warned that the the EU wants to set standards for the world (e.g see EU-USA trade deal feared to result in loss of USA sovereignty: But end result will be worse<\/a>)–what it has just done related to Artificial Intelligence is another step towards that.<\/p>\n

While European Union leaders want to project the idea that their new rules will “would enable innovation, while safeguarding fundamental rights,” they will tend to have the opposite affect.<\/p>\n

Regulations tend to stifle innovation, governments tend to override fundamental rights (and can change the rules, ignore the rules, and\/or interpret them differently than their intent), whereas AI will help governments be able to increase surveillance over society as well as individuals.<\/p>\n

What the new rules really are look to be another prelude to 666.<\/p>\n

Do not believe that human rights will be properly protected, no matter what the promoters of these rules may indicate.<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that more improper censorship is coming:<\/p>\n

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
\n“That I will send a famine on the land,
\nNot a famine of bread,
\nNor a thirst for water,
\nBut of hearing the words of the Lord.

Imagine a country run as a business, and in this country you invite boat loads (literally) of uneducated folks, almost exclusively men of military age from cultures drastically different and in many instances entirely antithetical to those of the society they now live in. They come predominantly for social benefits. We know this based on the numbers of those still on welfare checks many years after arriving.<\/p>\n

While this is going on, you then begin eliminating the incentives to attract capital. …<\/p>\n

Well, according to the Bible, Europe will reorganize to become a dictatorship:<\/p>\n

Western liberal hegemony has failed and must be destroyed, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated on Thursday, suggesting it could end as soon as this year.<\/p>\n

Addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC Hungary) in Budapest, Orban criticized the existing \u201cworld order based on progressive liberal hegemony,\u201d<\/em> saying it has spawned numerous figureheads who are \u201cnot fit to be leaders,\u201d<\/em> with even \u201cbeauty pageants\u201d<\/em> knowing more about peace then they do.<\/p>\n

He accused liberal politicians of building \u201chegemonic ideological control to which everyone must submit\u201d<\/em> instead of actual governing, while turning \u201cstate bodies into tools of oppression.\u201d<\/em> Such forces are a dangerous enemy whose time is coming to an end, Orban claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe progressive liberals sense the danger, the end of this era also means their end,\u201d<\/em> the prime minister argued. Their dominance could be overcome as soon as this year, Orban predicted, citing the upcoming EU Parliament and US presidential elections. https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/596567-orban-liberal-world-order-over\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that Viktor Orban is calling for Europe to reorganize.<\/p>\n

And he is not alone (see also European Union parliament election sentiment shifting to \u2018the right\u2019\u2013setting the stage for the coming reorganizations of Revelation 17:12-13?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Europe will reorganize, but it will end up with a totalitarian dictator.<\/p>\n

Much is happening and privacy, financial and otherwise, is being lost. Europe is trying to rise up.<\/p>\n

We also know that financial controls are coming to Europe. Related to 666 and controls, the Apostle John was told by Jesus to write the following:<\/p>\n

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.<\/p>\n

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

666 is the final revival of the Roman Empire. Hence, 666 is a European power. When Jesus had the Apostle John pen this 1900+ years ago, there was no way to monitor most buying and selling. With computer software, including AI, much is already being done, and more will be done. A totalitarian system is being put in place. Europe wants to lead it.<\/div>\n

As far as 666 pointing to the Roman Empire, the first writing that has been found that suggests that a Roman, or Roman empire, is 666 was by Irenaeus<\/a>, who claimed to have listened to Polycarp<\/a> when he (Irenaeus) was a young man. Irenaeus wrote:<\/p>\n

Then also Lateinos (LATEINOS<\/em>) has the number six hundred and sixty-six; and it is a very probable [solution], this being the name of the last kingdom [of the four seen by Daniel]. For the Latins are they who at present bear rule: (Irenaeus. Adversus haereses, Book V, Chapter 30, Verse 3. Excerpted from Ante-Nicene Fathers, Volume 1. The New Testament was written in Greek, and John penned the Book of Revelation on the Greek speaking island of Patmos (Revelation 1:9). They still speak Greek there. Anyway, adding up the values of the Greek letters for the word Lateinos brings you to 666:<\/p>\n

In the 2nd century A.D., Irenaeus, disciple of Polycarp, the Apostle John\u2019s disciple, explained that in Greek the word Lateinos — meaning \u201cLatin man\u201d or Roman — adds up to 666. (L = 30; A = 1; T = 300; E = 5; I = 10; N = 50; 0 = 70; S = 200) This, he stated, was the, intent of the scripture.<\/p>\n

Specifically 666 is the number of the first beast in Revelation 13 as distinguished from the Antichrist<\/a>, who is the second, the two-horned beast, in the same chapter. And as Revelation 13 shows, the two-horned beast works with, and promotes, the seven-headed (and ten-horned) first beast in that chapter. While some have tried to state that the number is actually 616 and not 666:<\/p>\n

the earliest extant Greek manuscripts of Revelation visually represented the number 666 either in longhand number- words (hexakosioi hex\u00c4\u201ckonta hex), or in alphabetic shorthand (\u00cf\u2021\u00ce\u00be\u00cf\u203a). Yes, the number is 666. A number of imperfect humankind.<\/p>\n

That said, please understand that the leader of the ten-horned Beast of Revelation 13:1-10 (see Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation<\/a>) and the one called 666 in Revelation 13:10 is also the one who is the final King of the North<\/a>. He is also called the \u2018man of sin\u2019 in 2 Thessalonians 2 (see also Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?<\/a>).<\/p>\n
