COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n In the latest TW News & Prophecy<\/em>, LCG<\/a> had the following:<\/p>\n More German-U.S. friction.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Last week President Barack Obama “rebuked EU leaders for failing to recapitalize banks and allowing the debt crisis to escalate to the point where it is scaring the world.<\/em>” Reaction from the German finance minister, Wolfgang Sch\u00e4uble, was one of scorn, “I don’t understand how anyone in the European Commission can have such a stupid idea [spending one’s way out of a debt crisis]. The result would be to endanger the AAA sovereign debt ratings of other member states. It makes no sense.” Mr. Sch\u00e4uble basically told Washington to “mind its own business” following Mr. Obama’s comments. “It’s always much easier to give advice to others than to decide for yourself. I am well prepared to give advice to the U.S. government.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Some are concerned that Mr. Sh\u00e4uble’s comments could anger the U.S., which is currently “propping up” EU debt with U.S. dollars (The Telegraph<\/em>, September 27, 2011). The once-strong relationship between Germany and the U.S. was hit hard at the start of the Gulf War. For more information, see our booklet, The United States and Great Britain in Prophecy<\/a>.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n While Barack Obama is telling the EU that the debt crisis is “scaring the world,” he failed to mention how he accelerated the accumulation on national debt that the Bush Administration began.\u00a0 The EU has tended to be much more leery about increasing debt than the USA has.<\/p>\n But speaking of scary, in the USA, there have been protests in NY for about three weeks:<\/p>\n Speaking Friday at a “Values Voter Summit” in Washington, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor called the protesters<\/a> a “mob” and suggested they had been encouraged by the Obama administration.<\/p>\n “This administration’s failed policies have resulted in an assault on many of our nation’s bedrock principles,” he said. “If you read the newspapers today, I for one am increasingly concerned about the growing mobs occupying Wall Street and the other cities across the country.<\/p>\n “And, believe it or not, some in this town have condoned the pitting of Americans against Americans,” he added.<\/p>\n His remarks come the day after President Obama expressed sympathy to the views of protesters.\u00a0 Obama defended the decision to bail out banks and Wall Street during the meltdown in the financial sector in 2008, saying not doing so would have caused far greater damage to the economy. But he said he understands the backlash against that bailout now being voiced in the protests.\u00a0 “I think people are frustrated, and the protesters are giving voice to a more broad-based frustration about how our financial system works,” he said.\u00a0 http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2011\/10\/07\/news\/economy\/occupy_wall_street\/<\/a><\/p>\n \u200eUSA Today – Donna Leinwand Leger<\/a> – 7 October 2011 USA Today has links protests in the following USA cities:<\/p>\n Barack Obama, presuming that he is re-elected, will likely live to regret the fact that he seems to be encouraging protests (or at least has not really spoken out against them at this stage).\u00a0 Back in February 2011, he also encouraged the protesters in Wisconsin (see ICG: Is Barack Obama Encouraging Protests?<\/a>).\u00a0 Back on February 19, 2011, I wrote that encouraging protesters could come back to haunt Barack Obama later down the road.\u00a0 And not only do I believe that, I believe that ultimately protesters will become increasingly violent as protests will at some point turn to riots and civil unrest.<\/p>\n While I am not trying to say that protesters do not have any point, the reality is that producing more goods and services, from a carnal perspective, is economically what the USA needs.\u00a0 Protests generally speaking, do not do that.<\/p>\n National repentance is the only real long-term hope for the USA (and it seems to be too late for that), the political leadership in the USA has largely ignored that approach. The carnal \u201csolutions\u201d offered and agreed to by both political parties in the USA will not get it back on track economically. Its economy may appear to do better for a while, but in the long run, the USA does not have real solutions to its economic woes. There are carnal solutions that the USA could do now (mainly related to energy production and tariffs) that could help extend the situation, but too many of its leaders have rejected God and have the type of \u201creprobate mind\u201d that prevents them from seeing even those \u201cconvenient\u201d options (cf. Romans 1:18-32, KJV). The debate I have heard from some politicians and pundits on the USA economy strongly suggests to me, at least, that many do not understand production, economics, job-creation, nor the Bible.<\/p>\n Few seem to tie the national legalization of abortions<\/a> in the U.S.A. in 1973, the increased legalizations of homosexual marriages (e.g. NY Approves \u2018Homosexual Marriage\u2019 Law, but Does Not See the Handwriting on the Wall<\/a>), and the Obama Administration\u2019s decision to want to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (see Obama Announces He Wants to Repeal Defense of Marriage Act and Increase Debt<\/a>) as important factors in what is happening. But all of those, as well as the promotion of violence in the U.S.A. (including certain sports), as well as other sins, are factors behind what is happening.<\/p>\n Chapter 8 of my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a> is titled Barack Obama, Islam, and the End of America.<\/em> In that chapter I wrote that Barack Obama would cause people to err per Isaiah 3:12 & 9:16, not encourage people to repent of sins, but instead have policies that are focused on not relying on God.
