Francis said politicians must take the lead in making AI human-centric, so that human decisions always remain made by humans and not machines.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would condemn humanity to a future without hope if we took away people\u2019s ability to make decisions about themselves and their lives, by dooming them to depend on the choices of machines,\u201d he said. \u201cWe need to ensure and safeguard a space for proper human control over the choices made by artificial intelligence programs: Human dignity itself depends on it.\u201d …<\/p>\n

The European Union was one of the first movers with its wide-ranging AI Act that\u2019s set to take effect over the next two years<\/a><\/span> and could act as a global model. AI has become unavoidable \u2014 as the pope himself found out last year when viral images of him in a Balenciaga puffer jacket<\/a> heralded a new era of deepfakes. And as the technology has expanded, the Vatican has positioned itself as the conscience of companies like Microsoft and emerged as a surprisingly influential voice in the debate over AI\u2019s global governance.<\/p>\n

Francis <\/b>arrived in southern Italy on Friday to become the first pope to address a Group of Seven forum of world leaders, joining a session at the summit dedicated to AI.<\/p>\n

His concerns center less on sci-fi movie predictions of malevolent machines, or how the possibility of sentient AI might challenge the fundamental definition of life. Rather, he has focused on the apocalyptic potential of weaponized AI. He fears the elimination of human empathy as algorithms begin to decide the outcome of everything from asylum applications to bank loans. He has heralded \u201cthe exciting opportunities\u201d of the technology, but frets over its power to deepen inequality within and among nations. Those risks, he insists, must be managed through a global treaty<\/a> to regulate AI. https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2024\/06\/14\/pope-francis-g7-ai\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lies and Deepfakes<\/a><\/h3>\n

Jesus taught that God\u2019s prophets would be reviled and spoken evil of. He also warned that the devil was a liar that worked to take the word of God away from those who heard it. The Apostle Paul warned that \u201cevil men and seducers would wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived\u201d (2 Timothy <\/span>3:13, KJV). He also warned that letters purported from him with false messages were an issue. COG leader Serapion of Antioch denounced a gospel falsely attributed to the Apostle Peter as pseudepigrapha. With the internet, lies can spread faster than before. With technology, like artificial intelligence, can we expect to see deepfakes that will make it look like Christian leaders say or do things that they did not? Do you, \u201cprove all things\u201d so you will not fall from the coming increased deceit? Will YOU hold fast to that which is good or be one who \u201cloves and practices a lie\u2019? Dr. Thiel refers to aspects of modern technology and various scriptures to warn Christians to not be misled by what is coming.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

There’s a growing level of concern about actual “disinformation,” statements that simply are not true, in American elections, … because of the artificial intelligence programs that have been developed and are being promoted by their owners, including Google and OpenAI.<\/p>\n

It’s because they are dishing out false answers.<\/p>\n

A report at The Federalist<\/a> explains, “If you’re looking to artificial intelligence for answers to election-related questions, chances are you\u2019re getting the wrong answers. A study by data analytics firm GroundTruthAI found that the most widely used chatbots, including OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT and Google\u2019s Gemini 1.0 Pro, provided incorrect information more than a quarter of the time.”<\/p>\n

It was revealed in an NBC report<\/a> that said, “Researchers sent 216 unique questions to Google\u2019s Gemini 1.0 Pro and OpenAI\u2019s GPT-3.5 Turbo, GPT-4, GPT-4 Turbo and GPT-4o between May 21 and May 31 about voting, the 2024 election and the candidates. Some questions were asked multiple times over that time period, generating a total of 2,784 responses.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The result? “Google\u2019s Gemini 1.0 Pro initially responded with correct answers just 57% of the time. OpenAI\u2019s GPT-4o, which is the latest version of the model, answered correctly 81% of the time. \u2026 On average, the five learning models answered correctly 73% of the time.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

GroundTruthAI chief tech officer Brian Sokas said in the report, “There\u2019s a risk here that voters could be led into a scenario where the decisions they\u2019re making in the ballot box aren\u2019t quite informed by true facts. They\u2019re just informed by information that they think are true facts.” https:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2024\/06\/artificial-intelligence-programs-now-skewing-2024-election-info\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

My frustration with using AI for internet searches has been:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Answers are often wrong.<\/li>\n
  2. AI has been programmed not to answer many questions.<\/li>\n
  3. There are biases from AI programs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In time, however, I believe that the programs will become more advanced and more difficult to discern the errors and biases that they provide. They will suppress more of the truth, but in a way most will not perceive.<\/p>\n

    The Apostle Paul warned:<\/p>\n

    18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, …21 … but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, …<\/p>\n

    26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions.\u00a0 (Romans 1:18,21-22,26)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    That is happening. AI, various algorithms, and shadow-banning by Big Tech often are related to that.<\/p>\n

    AI will also be used more and more, to not only censor but to push various government narratives, whether true or not.<\/p>\n

    Governments and Big Tech are censoring more and more.<\/p>\n

    And yes, that is happening in the USA. Notice:<\/p>\n

    Following House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan’s (R-Ohio) subpoena last year, tech giants like Google-parent Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta and Microsoft were investigated regarding their communications with the federal government. Jordan said at the time that he wanted to “understand how and to what extent the Executive Branch coerced and colluded with companies and other intermediaries to censor speech.”<\/p>\n

    The House Judiciary Committee’s 800-page report, titled “The Censorship-industrial Complex: How Top Biden White House Officials Coerced Big Tech to Censor Americans, True Information, and Critics of the Biden Administration,” included several instances where the platforms censored information relating to COVID-19 due to top-down pressure. …<\/p>\n

    Big Tech <\/a>altered their content-moderation policies in 2021, the report said. Facebook, YouTube and Amazon all adjusted their policies to censor information ranging from COVID-19 “misinformation” to what kinds of books were permissible on the Amazon Marketplace.<\/p>\n

    “Indeed, both Facebook and Amazon referred to the Biden White House\u2019s efforts as ‘pressure,'” the report said. https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/damning-report-details-biden-admins-big-tech-censorship-push<\/a><\/p>\n

    The Biden White House’s censorship campaign<\/a> also targeted true information, satire and other content not violating platform policies, according to the report.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    Yes, true information was censored. Both Facebook and YouTube, for example, removed accurate and true information I wrote during COVID. Yet, not only was what I posted true, following the advice on how to help one’s immune system would save lives–but it was censored anyway by the government=Big Tech alliance.<\/p>\n

    We are seeing more and more censorship, particularly on the internet. Matt Taibi has termed the coordination of this from governments, academia, Big Tech, and \u201cfact checkers,\u201d the \u2018Censorship Industrial Complex.\u2019 Is more censorship prophesied to happen? What did the prophet Amos write in the 5th and 8th chapter of his book? What about writings from the Apostle Peter? Is the USA government coercing censorship in violation of the first amendment to its constitution according to federal judges? What about the Digital Services Act from the European Union. Is artificial intelligence (AI) being used? What about for the video game \u2018Call of Duty\u2019? Has Google made changes that are against religious speech? Has YouTube, Facebook, Twitter (X), and others in Big Tech been censoring factually accurate information? Is the US government using AI to monitor social media to look for emotions in order to suppress information? What is mal-information? Is a famine of the word of God prophesied to come? Will the 666 Beast and the Antichrist use computers and AI for totalitarian censorship and control?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    We are getting closer to that day, with technologies unheard of when God inspired Amos and John to warn what would happen\u2013like computers and AI\u2013that the totalitarian Beast of Revelation will be able use to assist his 666 reign as well as enforce the coming \u2018famine of the word\u2019 of God.<\/p>\n

    And yes, places like the USA are helping to set the stage to make it easier for it to happen with things such as censorship with Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Notice some of what will be coming from a power that will arise in Europe:<\/p>\n

    15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.<\/p>\n

    The ability to do that did not exist when Jesus had John pen the Revelation. The technology now exists with computers, cameras, cellular telephones, AI, and a willingness of governments to track and censor.<\/p>\n

    The Bible shows that a European dictator will rise up and be totalitarian (Revelation 13, 17:12-13).<\/p>\n

    More and more surveillance is happening and more is being proposed. Furthermore, the biblical reality is that 666 control is coming.<\/p>\n

    Remember to watch, pray, and take proper action. As Jesus said:<\/p>\n

    34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n
