North Korea, Russia pledge mutual defense, says Putin<\/h2>\n

June 19, 2024<\/p>\n

North Korea and Russia have signed a treaty containing a mutual defense clause, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced Wednesday, during a rare Putin visit to Pyongyang.<\/p>\n

Following a day of highly publicized events, Putin and Kim signed a \u201ccomprehensive strategic partnership agreement,\u201d formally upgrading relations that have expanded since Russia\u2019s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The text of the agreement has not been released. But following the signing, Putin said the deal contains a clause that \u201cprovides for the provision of mutual assistance in the event of aggression against one of the parties,\u201d according to Russia\u2019s Interfax news agency.<\/p>\n

Following the signing ceremony, Kim called Russia the \u201cmost honest friend and comrade,\u201d insisting the treaty is peaceful and defensive in nature, according to Russian state media.<\/p>\n

The development is sure to rattle Western leaders, who have condemned Russia-North Korea cooperation as a violation of international law. https:\/\/www.voanews.com\/a\/north-korea-russia-pledge-mutual-defense-says-putin-\/7661781.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is a saying that, “the enemy of your enemy is your friend.”<\/p>\n

The US has attempted to punish both North Korea and Russia with a series of sanctions over the years. Russian President Putin warned the US about sanctions against North Korea back in 2017 (see Vladimir Putin issues a warning to USA about North Korea<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Continuing<\/em> Church of God put out two videos, one in 2018 (watch US Sanctions and Tariffs leading to New World Order?<\/a>) and the other in 2024 (watch Russia, Sanctions, Transnistria, Europe & Prophecy<\/a>.) regarding there being costs to US sanctions. And there are.<\/p>\n

This announcement from Vladmir Putin, in a sense, looks to be a prelude years ahead of Armageddon.<\/p>\n

The term Armageddon is only used once in the Bible. It is associated with the sixth of seven bowls of God\u2019s wrath:<\/p>\n

1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, \u201cGo and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.\u201d (Revelation 16:1)<\/p>\n

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.<\/p>\n

15 \u201cBehold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.\u201d<\/p>\n

16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:12-16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The place called Armageddon in scripture is located in the tiny nation of Israel.<\/p>\n

The kings from the east<\/em> reference in Revelation 16 refers to Asian nations, including Russia, Korea, and China, whose borders extends to the farthest ends of the north and the east.<\/p>\n

The Bible also show that the coming “Babylonian\/European” empire will be destroyed by a northern power (apparently Russia and its allies, as Russia is really the only powerful nation north of Europe) and kings from the ends of the earth:<\/p>\n

41 “Behold, a people shall come from the north<\/strong>,
\nAnd a great nation and many kings
\nShall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
\n42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
\nThey are cruel and shall not show mercy.
\nTheir voice shall roar like the sea;
\nThey shall ride on horses,
\nSet in array, like a man for the battle,
\nAgainst you, O daughter of Babylon.<\/p>\n

43 “The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
\nAnd his hands grow feeble;
\nAnguish has taken hold of him,
\nPangs as of a woman in childbirth…” (Jeremiah 50:41-43).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thus, the European empire (the “daughter of Babylon”) is to be destroyed by a northern (apparently Russian-led) force. And kings “from the ends of the earth” will included Korea as it is part of the eastern end of the earth.<\/p>\n

As far as military cooperation between the Koreans and Russians, the July-September 2013 edition of CCOG\u2019s<\/a> Bible News Prophecy<\/em> magazine had the following comments from me:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Koreans Will Be Among the First to Recognize the Falsehood of the Beast<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lest any have the misimpression that the Koreans are not a discerning people, it needs to be understood that the Koreans will be among the first to recognize the falsehood of this European power. But before that, there will likely be increased military cooperation among many of the Asian nations. The Koreans will finally see that the European Beast power, also called \u201cthe King of the North\u201d in the Bible, is not something to be worshiped or trusted. Why do we of the Philadelphia remnant of the Church of God believe that? Because there are certain verses in both the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation that appear to be discussing East Asian nations and the European Beast power.<\/p>\n

Notice from the Book of Daniel:<\/p>\n

\u201c40 At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him (Daniel 11:40-45).<\/p>\n

Notice that the end time King of the North (the European Empire ) will overwhelm the King of the South (a Moslem empire), but that those from the east and the north shall trouble the King of the North. This appears to be referring to China and Russia, and apparently other Asian nations (including Korea–which is one of the most \u201ceastern\u201d of all nations). And notice that they will be used to help cause the King of the North to come to his end. And it is likely that by the end, both Koreas would be involved. Korea apparently part of the \u201ckings from the east\u201d or more literally \u201ckings of the sunrise\u201d of Revelation 16:12).<\/p>\n

It would seem like Korea is likely to support the coming confederation of the east that will have a 200,000,000 man army:<\/p>\n

15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. (Revelation 9:15-16)<\/p>\n

This will not turn out well for the participants, including any Koreans (cf. Revelation 19:17-21). …<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong> …<\/p>\n

God apparently plans to allow Korea and others in Asia as part of a coalition of kings from the East (which apparently include the eastern and northern Russians) to put an end to the King of the North\u2019s military ambitions. Just because the whole world (and not just the Koreans) will be deceived by the rising European Beast power, you do not have to be. Hopefully this article has given you some reasons to look at the world and your life and will motivate to come to God now on His terms.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The New Testament is clear that race and ancestry are not salvation issues as there will be people from all nations and tongues in the Kingdom of God. After going over that, Dr. Thiel discusses the biblical origins and progenitors of the peoples in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Micronesia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. What about the Arabs, Iran, Syria, and Israel? What about the Valley of Vision? Do end time Islamic prophecies for an Imam Mahdi seem to be related to biblical ones related to the coming King of the South? Are Muslims looking for Europeans to make a seven-year peace deal that will be broken? Do Muslims teach Jesus will return? Will we see terrorism? What about the destruction of the USA and its British-descended allies? What about a confederation of nations in the Middle East and North Africa? Is a Russian-led force prophesied to cause the end-time, European daughter of Babylon to tremble? Do Chinese\/Japanese characters suggest knowledge of some events shown in the Book of Genesis? Will China, India, and others in Asia be part of the 200 million-man army and the gathering at Armageddon? What will happen to those on islands? And as far as the USA goes, it will one day be “out of the way” and if Korea does not unify before then, at least of version of reunification after then is consistent with biblical prophecies.<\/p>\n
