Iran warns Israel of ‘obliterating’ war if Lebanon attacked<\/h2>\n

June 29, 2024<\/p>\n

Tehran, IRAN \u2014\u00a0<\/span>Iran on Saturday warned that “all Resistance Fronts,” a grouping of Iran and its regional allies, would confront Israel if it attacks Lebanon.<\/p>\n

The comment from Iran’s mission to New York comes with fears of a wider regional war involving Israel and Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah movement. The two sides have engaged in near-daily exchanges of fire since the war in Gaza began.<\/p>\n

Such exchanges have escalated this month, alongside bellicose rhetoric from both sides. Israel’s military said plans for a Lebanon offensive had been “approved and validated,” prompting Hezbollah to respond that none of Israel would be spared in a full-blown conflict.<\/p>\n

In a post on social media platform X, the Iranian mission said it “deems as psychological warfare the Zionist regime’s propaganda about intending to attack Lebanon.”<\/p>\n

But, it added, “should it embark on full-scale military aggression, an obliterating war will ensue. All options, incl. the full involvement of all Resistance Fronts, are on the table.”<\/p>\n

The war in Gaza began in October when Hamas Palestinian militants attacked southern Israel. Iran, which backs Hamas, has praised the attack as a success but has denied any involvement.<\/p>\n

Alongside Hezbollah’s attacks on northern Israel, Iran-backed rebels in Yemen have repeatedly struck commercial ships in the Red Sea area in what they say are acts of solidarity with the Palestinians.<\/p>\n

Iran continues to make threats against Israel. Last month, its Supreme Leader again, essentially called for its elimination (see Iran\u2019s Supreme leader tells Hamas, \u201cThe divine promise to eliminate the Zionist entity will be fulfilled and we will see the day when Palestine will rise from the river to the sea\u2019<\/a>). Iran has conventional weapons, EMP capability, chemical weapons, biological weapons, and certainly all it needs for “dirty bombs” (bombs with radioactive materials).<\/p>\n

As far as actual nuclear bombs go, notice the following:<\/p>\n

Iran Openly Talks About Building A Nuke In Historic Shift<\/h2>\n

Iranian officials are becoming more open about the possibility of building a nuclear bomb. Tehran’s official policy, backed by years of consistent statements by the Ayatollah, has been to insist its nuclear program is only for peaceful energy purposes, and that nukes go against Islamic morality. …<\/p>\n

The New York Times<\/em> in a fresh report says an unprecedented trend is cause for serious alarm<\/a>: “For the first time, some members of Iran\u2019s ruling elite are dropping the country\u2019s decades-old insistence that its nuclear program is entirely for peaceful purposes<\/strong>.” …<\/p>\n

“Instead, they are publicly beginning to embrace the logic of possessing the bomb<\/strong>, arguing that recent missile exchanges with Israel underscore the need for a far more powerful deterrent,” continues the NY Times.<\/p>\n

Tehran is fully aware of its status as a ‘threshold state’ <\/strong>and is using this to project strength in its broader standoff with Israel in the region<\/a>:<\/p>\n

In interviews with a dozen American, European, Iranian and Israeli officials and with outside experts, the cumulative effect of this surge appears clear: Iran has cemented its role as a \u201cthreshold\u201d nuclear state, walking right up to the line of building a weapon without stepping over it<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And yet Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu has warned many times over the years that he will not allow Iran to achieve nuclear status. He has vowed to launch a preemptive attack<\/strong> should Tehran cross this line.<\/p>\n

But this has not stopped an official close to Iran\u2019s supreme leader from recently explaining that if the country were to face an existential threat, it would “reconsider its nuclear doctrine”<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 as quoted in the\u00a0Times\u00a0<\/em>report.<\/p>\n

Without doubt, Iranian leaders have in the back of their minds the examples of Iraq’s Saddam Hussein and Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi. Both gave up their WMD programs and nuclear aspirations, and soon after were invaded, overthrown, and executed (and in Gaddafi’s case he was killed on the street by NATO-backed rebels). …<\/p>\n

If Israel threatened Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities, General Haq Talab said in a speech in mid-April, \u201cit\u2019s entirely possible and imaginable that the Islamic Republic will reconsider its nuclear doctrine and policies and reverse its previously stated positions<\/strong><\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few weeks later, Mr. Kharazi told Al Jazeera that Iran had the capacity to produce a nuclear bomb, but that it has not decided to do so.<\/p>\n

Are there prophecies showing great damage coming to part of Jerusalem as well as the tiny nation called Israel by a confederation of Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Palestinians? Do Muslims revere Mary? Did Muslims have prayer beads before Roman Catholics had rosaries? Who was Fatima? What about the tie to the apparition that appeared to three shepherd children in 1917 in Fatima, Portugal? Did Lucia and some of the Roman Catholic clergy suspect that what appeared in 1917 was from the devil? Might Muslims temporarily accept a changed \u2018Roman Catholic\u2019 faith after some undeniable apparition? Regarding Iran possibly attacking Israel, in March I posted the following:<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that God will allow what looks to be a Iranian-Syrian confederation to strike the nation of Israel:<\/p>\n

1 The burden against the Valley of Vision.<\/p>\n

What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops, 2 You who are full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city? Your slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; They have fled from afar. 4 Therefore I said, \u201cLook away from me, I will weep bitterly; Do not labor to comfort me Because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.\u201d<\/p>\n

5 For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity By the Lord God of hosts In the Valley of Vision \u2014 Breaking down the walls And of crying to the mountain. 6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen<\/strong>, And Kir uncovered the shield. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots, And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.<\/p>\n

8 He removed the protection of Judah<\/strong>. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great<\/strong>; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall. 11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls For the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, Nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago.<\/p>\n

12 And in that day the Lord God of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning, For baldness and for girding with sackcloth. 13 But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: \u201cLet us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!\u201d<\/p>\n

14 Then it was revealed in my hearing by the Lord of hosts,\u201dSurely for this iniquity there will be no atonement for you, Even to your death,\u201d says the Lord God of hosts. (Isaiah 22:1-14 NKJV)<\/p>\n

Elam is a reference to at least some in Iran. The old Worldwide Church of God published the following:<\/p>\n

Iranians comprise nearly 70 percent of the country. Iranians, though Islamic, are totally distinct from the neighboring Arab peoples of the Middle East. They are a mixed people of the remnants of Media and Elam and other ancestors of Semitic and Hamitic stock. (Stump K. South Asia in Prophecy. Plain Truth, July\/August 1986, p. 5)<\/p>\n

The Bible tells that after Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria took over Damascus, he moved Syrians to Kir (2 Kings 16:9-10). God’s word has the expression “the Syrians from Kir” (Amos 9:7), which is basically confirmation that Kir of Isaiah 22 would include Syrians. The Bible also tells of a time when Kir will be destroyed (Isaiah 15:1b) and also says that Syria’s capital Damascus will be destroyed (Isaiah 17:1).While this does not mean that Kir must (or must only) be a reference to Syria, the fact that Syria is an ally of Iran is interesting.<\/p>\n

In Isaiah 22: 8, \u201cJudah\u201d is a reference to those in the land commonly called Israel\u2013God will allow Israel to be attacked! In Isaiah 22:9, consider that \u201cthe damage to the city of David\u201d is a reference to at least part of Jerusalem\u2013and notice that the damage will be great. This, in turn, would be expected to result in a massive Israeli, possibly with US involvement, attack against Iran and its allies, like Syria.the<\/p>\n

The fulfillment of Isaiah 22:6-9 could lead to the prophesied peace deal of Daniel 9:26-27 and the countdown to the start of the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n

But notice verse 8: He removed the protection of Judah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Part of the protection of Judah, aka the nation called Israel, comes from the USA.<\/p>\n

While Syria (and others) may be involved in removing “the protection of Judah,” the more the USA distances itself from Israel, the more tempting an attack may seem for Iran.<\/p>\n

Anyway, we may well see Iran attack Israel in 2024, and that could possibly lead to the confirmation of the deal of Daniel 9:27. (Thiel B. VOA: Hamas Leader Speaks in Iran of Israel\u2019s \u2018Political Isolation\u2019.<\/a> COGwriter, March 27, 2024)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Since that post, we have seen an attack by Iran in 2024. But as I emailed someone within a few hours after it began, I did not believe it was the attack of Isaiah 22:6-9. And it was not.<\/p>\n

That said, most COGs do not understand about Iran in prophecy (see Iran & Syria & Israel: PCG, WCG, CGG, UCG, CEG, COGaIC, LCG, RCG, ICG, CGI, and CCOG<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Iran and Israel Conflict<\/a><\/h3>\n

European Union foreign policy chief, Josep Borrel, has been brokering the nuclear negotiations involving Iran and said that he thinks the deal is \u201cin danger.\u201d Iran blames the United States, whereas the USA says they are not delaying it. Israeli sources stated that Israel will stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. Joe Biden says the USA would use its own military power to prevent Iran from getting such a bomb if need be. In 2021, Iranian lawmakers have submitted a bill seeking the government by law to commit to Israel\u2019s destruction by the year 2040. Does the 22nd chapter of Isaiah point to damage coming to Israel from Iran and possibly Syria? Might Iran be concerned enough about limited progress with the USA to launch some type of attack? Is Iran the prophesied \u2018King of the South\u2019? Is it reasonable to think that the prophesied peace deal of Daniel <\/span>9:27<\/a> will not happen until after a military conflict. like a regional war? Should Christians watch the Middle East? As the Ayatollah continues to age, he may well decide that 2024 is the year for him to attempt to fulfill his desire to eliminate Israel.<\/p>\n
