In its latest TW News & Prophecy<\/em>, LCG<\/a> reported that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is continuing his quest on creating a Eurasian union:<\/p>\n

Coming Eurasian union.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a recent Russian Izvestia<\/em> article, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin shared his vision for a Eurasian union. Mr. Putin noted this future<\/em> union would include several former “Eastern Block” nations, and also<\/em> nations from Asia and the Pacific Rim.<\/em> His vision calls for “a close integration based on new values and economic and political foundation [that] is a demand of the present time.” Mr. Putin commented that, “Along with other key players and regional structures, such as the European Union, the United States, China and the Asia Pacific Economic Community, it should ensure stability of global development”<\/em> (Associated Press<\/em>, October 4, 2011).<\/p>\n

Bible prophecy has long foretold of something very similar to Mr. Putin’s vision for a Eurasian union, but with a very different outcome! Revelation 13 and Daniel 11:40-44 indicate that an end-time European Beast power [the King of the North] will move into the Glorious Land (Israel), but the Beast will be disturbed by news from the “east and the north”–the location of Mr. Putin’s Eurasian union! Revelation 8 and 9 describe events that will take place during the final year prior to Christ’s return–the Day of the Lord. The sixth trumpet plague of Revelation 9:13-19 and Daniel 11:44 describe a 200-million-man army that will descend on Jerusalem from the East<\/em>. This army will kill one-third of mankind and destroy the armies of the Beast that have occupied Jerusalem. The only nations on earth today that have the potential to muster such a vast army are located in the geographical area of this proposed Eurasian union–Russia, China, India, etc.<\/p>\n

Of course, this coming Eursasian union has been reported on before from both LCG and COGwriter.\u00a0 In recent months, Russia has been repeatedly trying to become stronger and gain more influence and military cooperation throughout Asia (see also Russia Strengthening Ties to China and India<\/a>, Russia Strengthening Ties to Pakistan<\/a>, Russia Strenthening Military Ties with North Korea, <\/a>and Russia\u2019s Putin Still Working for Eurasian Union<\/a>). The final time of the Gentiles is rapidly approaching (Luke 21:24).<\/p>\n

The Bible indicates that in the end Russia (Jeremiah 50:41-42) apparently will help lead the Kings of the East (Revelation 16:12) against the end-time European Babylonian<\/a> empire (Daniel 11:44; Jeremiah 50:9). These eastern kings also include China and many other oriental nations and probably will also include India.<\/p>\n

Notice that the Bible clearly states there is a group that will form from the far north<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

3 O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal…6 from the far north and all its troops–many people are with you (Ezekiel 38:3,6).<\/p>\n

14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog…15…you will come from your place out of the far north<\/strong>… (Ezekiel 38:14-15).<\/p>\n

1 O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north (Ezekiel 39:1-2).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A Russian confederation is that only place on the planet that is in the far north<\/strong> and currently has massive military power. A northern confederation (that appears to be led by Russia) will destroy the European Babylon presuming this has end-time applicability:<\/p>\n

9 For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon
\nAn assembly of great nations from the north country,
\nAnd they shall array themselves against her;
\nFrom there she shall be captured.
\nTheir arrows shall be like those of an expert warrior;
\nNone shall return in vain. (Jeremiah 50:9)<\/p>\n

41 “Behold, a people shall come from the north,
\nAnd a great nation and many kings
\nShall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
\n42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
\nThey are cruel and shall not show mercy.
\nTheir voice shall roar like the sea;
\nThey shall ride on horses,
\nSet in array, like a man for the battle,
\nAgainst you, O daughter of Babylon. (Jeremiah 50:41-42)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In the New Testament it is shown that a group of nations known as the Kings of the East will form:<\/p>\n

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared<\/strong>. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” 16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon (Revelation 16:12-16).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This concept of Asian involvement in a major battle is confirmed in the Book of Revelation. Notice the following:<\/p>\n

13 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million<\/strong>; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed\u2013by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths(Revelation 9:13-18).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Only China, and possibly India and others in Asia, which would apparently align themselves with a Russia confederation against the European Empire, are capable of fielding a two hundred million man army<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that a Eurasian military union will happen involving those from the north AND the east will form and frighten the European King of the North:<\/p>\n

…the king of the North… 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him<\/strong>; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him (Dan 11:40,43-45).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And will all of that WILL happen, it is likely that it may be proceeded by various types of economic unions and\/or treaties. Such as what Vladimir Putin has been proposing.<\/p>\n
