Rabbi Yosef Berger<\/a> revealed some amazing aspects of Donald Trump\u2019s victory<\/a> in the recent US Presidential election, most notably his potential role in building the Third Temple. As the spiritual descendant of Rome, the nation that destroyed the Second Temple, Trump has the potential to do a tikkun<\/em>, fixing the sin of Rome, and returning the glory to Western society.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump\u2019s election is a necessary element of the geula<\/em> (redemption) and a sign that the moshiach <\/em>(messiah) is imminent,\u201d Rabbi Berger said. \u201cThat is why Donald Trump in Gematria<\/em><\/a> (Hebrew numerology) equals 424, which is the same as Moshiach ben David<\/em> (Messiah from the house of David),\u201d Rabbi Berger pointed out. \u201cThis certainly does not mean he will be the Messiah, but it indicates that he will play a role in preparing the way for the arrival of the Messiah. He clearly has this inclination.\u201d<\/p>\n

This connection was so evident in Trump\u2019s connection with Jerusalem that in 2018, the Sanhedrin minted a coin with the profile of Trump<\/a> superimposed on the image of Persian King Cyrus, who facilitated the building of the Second Temple in Jerusalem that ended the Babylonian Exile in 538 BCE. Cyrus was not Jewish<\/p>\n

Cyrus\u2019s connection to the Messiah<\/a> is found in the Book of Isaiah. The Persian king is the only non-Jewish leader to be referred to in the Bible as Moshiach, literally \u2018His anointed one\u2019. The word for \u2018anointed one\u2019 in Hebrew is \u2018Moshiach\u2019 (\u05de\u05e9\u05d9\u05d7), which means \u201cMessiah\u201d.<\/p>\n

Thus said Hashem to <\/em>Cyrus<\/em><\/a>, His anointed one\u2014 Whose right hand He has grasped, treading down nations before him, ungirding the loins of kings, opening doors before him and letting no gate stay shut. Isaiah 45:1<\/em><\/p>\n

Rabbi Berger cited the medieval commentator, Rashi, who stated (Daniel 12:12) that moshiach<\/em> will be revealed, concealed, and then revealed again. This was also stated in Midrash Rabbah (Bamidbar 11:3):<\/p>\n

\u201cRabbi Berachia in the name of Rabbi Levi said: Just like the first redeemer, Moshe, revealed himself to the Jews and then concealed himself, similarly the final redeemer will reveal himself and then conceal himself, and then return and reveal himself again\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLike Cyrus, God put Donald Trump in power in order to build the Temple and pave the way for moshiach,<\/em>\u201d Rabbi Berger said. \u201cLike Moses, Trump began as part of the common people, was revealed in his first success entering the White House, but was then hidden.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLike Moses, now that Trump has been revealed for the second time, he will fulfill his ultimate function,\u201d Rabbi Berger said. …<\/p>\n

\u201cJust like the Second Temple, the Third Temple will be built by non-Jews,\u201d Rabbi Berger said. \u201cThis will only be fully revealed after Trump fulfills this role.\u201d …<\/p>\n

\u201cMidrash Rabba<\/em> asked, \u2018why is edom compared to a \u2018chazir\u2019<\/em>? The answer Midrash Rabba<\/em> gives is based on the root of the word chazir<\/em>, which literally means \u2018to return,\u2019\u201d Rabbi Berger continued.\u00a0 \u201cMidrash Rabba<\/em> stated, \u2018in the future Edom will return the glory to its former status.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Rabbi Berger emphasized that these sources state explicitly that the Third Temple will be built by the descendants of Rome, i.e. Christianity.<\/p>\n

\u201cRabbeinu Behaye explained this is a tikkun<\/em> (reparation). Rome destroyed the Second Temple so Rome\u2019s descendants, the Christians, are going to amend this by taking part in bringing the Third Temple.\u201d https:\/\/israel365news.com\/397766\/midrash-hints-that-trump-will-return-glory-to-western-world-by-building-third-temple\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Remember that a Midrash is not scripture.<\/p>\n

It may be of interest to recall that many years back Alton \u201cDon\u201d Billingsley of the Church of God-Faithful Flock (CGFF) took out an advertisement in the old The Journal: News of the Churches of God<\/em> related to Donald Trump and Cyrus. Here are some of his claims:<\/p>\n

Possibly as soon as 2018 or 2019, President Trump will follow the historical duality of King Cyrus, who made a proclamation that the second Temple would be rebuilt in the first year of his reign over Babylon. This was after the LORD stirred his spirit up to do it (Ezra 1:1). Jesus Christ will also stir up the spirit of President Trump to do the same before he leaves office in 2020. The way was paved for the Temple to be built when Jesus Christ stirred the mind of President Trump to move the Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He fulfilled the promise he had made during his campaign to do it. And he did it in his first year in office as did King Cyrus in his first year. \u2026<\/p>\n

President Trump has been made aware of his likeness to King Cyrus by the religious people in Israel. And Christ using his brashness and lack of fear of what anyone thinks of his decisions will stir up his mind at the exact time to make the proclamation. With his support, the Jewish people will begin the sacrificial offerings and laying the foundation for the new Temple. \u2026<\/p>\n

Considering the hostility of the Arab nations and their threats of war, there are those who say this will be utterly impossible! There will be hostility against it from Congress and the Defense Department as well as from others. But to say this is impossible in view of their hostility and threats is to leave Jesus Christ out of the picture! Nothing is impossible with Him! Please remember His intervention at needed times can be seen throughout history. And the prophecy concerning the Temple will be fulfilled, for He will be behind it (Isaiah 46:8-10). \u2026<\/p>\n

the need to make the needed changes in life to be protected from the awful things that are very near to all of us and be prepared for the coming of Jesus Christ. And seeing the building of the Third Temple should be a real wake-up call to that end!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Note: Isaiah 46:8-10 says NOTHING ABOUT A TEMPLE TO BE BUILT.<\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s go back to the Hebrew scriptures and look at the Cyrus prophecy:<\/p>\n

24<\/span> \u201cThis is what the LORD says\u2014 your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself, <\/span>25<\/span> who foils the signs of false prophets and makes fools of diviners, who overthrows the learning of the wise and turns it into nonsense, <\/span>26<\/span> who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem, \u2018It shall be inhabited,\u2019 of the towns of Judah, \u2018They shall be rebuilt,\u2019 and of their ruins, \u2018I will restore them,\u2019 <\/span>27<\/span> who says to the watery deep, \u2018Be dry, and I will dry up your streams,\u2019 <\/span>28<\/span> who says of Cyrus, \u2018He is my shepherd and will accomplish all that I please; he will say of Jerusalem, \u201cLet it be rebuilt,\u201d and of the temple, \u201cLet its foundations be laid.\u201d \u2019 <\/span>(Isaiah 44:24-28)<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

45:1 \u201cThus says the Lord to His anointed,
\nTo Cyrus, whose right hand I have held \u2014
\nTo subdue nations before him
\nAnd loose the armor of kings,
\nTo open before him the double doors,
\nSo that the gates will not be shut:
\n2 \u2018I will go before you
\nAnd make the crooked places straight;
\nI will break in pieces the gates of bronze
\nAnd cut the bars of iron.
\n3 I will give you the treasures of darkness
\nAnd hidden riches of secret places,
\nThat you may know that I, the Lord,
\nWho call you by your name,
\nAm the God of Israel.
\n4 For Jacob My servant\u2019s sake,
\nAnd Israel My elect,
\nI have even called you by your name;
\nI have named you, though you have not known Me. (Isaiah 45:1-4)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We see that this prophecy was fulfilled in Ezra:<\/p>\n

1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,<\/p>\n

2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:<\/p>\n

All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. 3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. 4 And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

5 Then the heads of the fathers\u2019 houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, with all whose spirits God had moved, arose to go up and build the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem. 6 And all those who were around them encouraged them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.<\/p>\n

7 King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his gods; 8 and Cyrus king of Persia brought them out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them out to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah. (Ezra 1:1-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Pulpit Commentary<\/em> states this about the prophecy in Isaiah:<\/p>\n

It is certainly a very marvellous thing that Isaiah, living at the close of the eighth and the beginning of the seventh century B.C.<\/span>, should -mention a king by name who did not ascend the throne till the middle of the sixth; but no one can suppose that God could not have made such a revelation to him if he pleased.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Donald Trump was NOT doing the same thing and the Cyrus prophecy was fulfilled thousands of years ago.<\/p>\n

Back in 2018, as Israel365News<\/em> referred to, the Sanhedrin decided to issue a special commemorative Donald Trump\/Cyrus coin to celebrate Israel’s 70th anniversary:<\/p>\n

The recent effort that created the commemorative \u201cTrump-Cyrus Coin,\u201d sporting images of President Trump and ancient Persian King Cyrus, is now minting a special edition \u201c70 Year Redemption Coin\u201d to raise funds to build Jerusalem\u2019s Third Temple as a house of prayer for all nations.<\/p>\n

The organizers, which include Israel\u2019s nascent Sanhedrin, the Mikdash (Temple) Educational Center and the United Temple Movements, have prepared the new coin to honor the 70th anniversary of the nation, which takes place this Thursday, April 19.<\/p>\n

They believe the Temple project is the only way to avert the outbreak of another Middle East war.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Temple, as a house of prayer for all nations, is the source of true peace,\u201d said Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for the nascent Sanhedrin, a biblically mandated court of 71 elders, told Breaking Israel News.<\/a> \u201cIt has been presented in the media as a \u2018flashpoint,\u2019 the focus of conflict. That is the opposite of the truth and has actually made this lie into a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n

The previous project involving the commemorative Trump-Cyrus coin was so successful the organizers of the new effort are optimistic about an international effort to plan and fund the rebuilding of the Temple, a project fraught with controversy even within Israel, because of the Islamic presence of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock \u2013 two shrines atop the Temple Mount. …<\/p>\n

The coin is currently being sold on the Mikdash Education Center\u2019s website. Because of Donald Trump’s decision related to moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem, some have concluded that this will make it easier for a ‘Third Temple’ to be built there and that Donald Trump is the biblical ‘Cyrus’ (see Donald Trump reportedly a \u2018Cyrus\u2019 preparing the way for a new Jewish temple<\/a>).<\/p>\n

A few months prior to the release of the coin shown at the beginning of this post, the Sanhedrin released another Trump-Cyrus coin (see also Sanhedrin Mints Silver Half Shekel With Images of Trump and Cyrus: Is the \u2018third temple\u2019 necessary for a successful Trump presidency?<\/a>):<\/p>\n

The Sanhedrin hopes that the sale of the coins will help it raise money for a temple as well as items related to having to operate a temple.<\/p>\n

But will the creation of a third Jewish temple in Jerusalem avert war?<\/p>\n

No.<\/p>\n

The Bible tells of great damage coming to Jerusalem:<\/p>\n

6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield<\/strong>. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots,And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.<\/p>\n

8 He removed the protection of Judah<\/strong>. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great<\/strong>; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall. (Isaiah 22:6-10)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That damage appears to be from an Iranian (Elam) and Syrian (Kir) power.<\/p>\n

Peace deals tend to come after wars–possibly the one where Jerusalem is damaged and Damascus (capital of Syria) is destroyed (Isaiah 17:10)–not because some building is made.<\/p>\n

The Bible tells of a deal–apparently a peace deal–that will come to the Middle East, but it will only be temporary:<\/p>\n

\n

26 And the people of the prince who is to come
\nShall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
\nThe end of it shall be with a flood,
\nAnd till the end of the war desolations are determined.
\n27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
\nBut in the middle of the week
\nHe shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
\nAnd on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
\nEven until the consummation, which is determined,
\nIs poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The above is referring to a deal or covenant that has a time element attached to it. In a sense, this numbered deal could be considered an end time “handwriting on the wall” (see also Can those in the USA\/UK see the Handwriting on the Wall<\/em>?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The \u2018one week\u2019 time element has generally been understood by prophecy watchers to mean a seven year deal (2520 days, based on prophetic 360 day years), that will be broken in the middle of it (after 3 1\/2 years). The Hebrew word translated as “week” literally means “sevened” (OT:7620 literal, sevened. Biblesoft’s New Exhaustive Strong’s Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright \u00a9 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.).<\/p>\n

The ‘with many’ referred to in this passage would seem to indicate that ‘many’ nations, as opposed to one or two, are agreeing to something.<\/p>\n

While Daniel 9:26 calls this leader a “prince,” he is later referred to as the king of a developing European empire (Daniel 11:40; see also King of the North<\/a> and Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation<\/a>). Daniel 9:26-27 tie directly in with Daniel 11:<\/p>\n

31\u00a0And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices,<\/em> and place there<\/em> the abomination of desolation.<\/span> (Daniel 11:31)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

11 He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down. 12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered. (Daniel 8:11-12)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Consider that it is a ‘prince’ who takes away the daily sacrifices in Daniel 9:27, and that he is also called the King of the North<\/a> (Daniel 11:40) who stops the sacrifices in Daniel 11:31.<\/p>\n

So, notice that whatever peace comes, will be short-lived as we see this from Daniel 9:27, 8:11-12, and 11:31. The Great Tribulation, itself, begins shortly after this per Jesus’ comments in Matthew 24:15-21 and specifically starts with Daniel 11:39 (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? <\/a>).<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the Sanhedrin does NOT believe that it must have a ‘third temple’ to perform animal sacrifices as Ezra performed them without a temple (Ezra 3:6; Sanhedrin’s comments to me in the article Why is a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem Not Required?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

So, people need to be careful to not insist one must first be built.\u00a0 The Sanhedrin and the Temple Institute already have all that they physically need to perform animal sacrifices and representatives of both of those groups told me that they DO NOT need to have a third temple to resume daily animal sacrifices.<\/p>\n

On December 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump fulfilled a campaign promise related to the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. This brought anger, protests, and rockets from some Palestinians. It also brought condemnation from European allies–it has been claimed to be disruptive and even catastrophic. The Palestinian President (Mahmoud Abbas) said that this pronouncement eliminated the USA as being a fair mediator for a peace deal. Others have claimed that Donald Trump is an end time Cyrus and his pronouncement will lead to a Third Temple in Jerusalem. Is there ever going to be a peace deal? If so, will Europeans be part of it? Is Donald Trump a ‘Cyrus.’ Do the Jews require a Third Temple for sacrifices? Dr. Thiel answers those questions and more.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Building something like the first or second Jewish temples would be a massive project.<\/p>\n

It is not biblically required. Donald Trump is not a modern day Cyrus–though with these coins and comments from others, Donald Trump may sometimes be thinking that he is.<\/p>\n

Even if a ‘third temple’ were to be built soon, it would not stop the destruction that is coming to Jerusalem nor stop the Great Tribulation from coming.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
