Last year, the US Surgeon General put out a report on teens and social media:<\/p>\n

A Surgeon General\u2019s Advisory is a public statement that calls the American people\u2019s attention to an urgent public health issue and provides recommendations for how it should be addressed. Advisories are reserved for significant public health challenges that require the nation\u2019s immediate awareness and action.<\/p>\n

This Advisory calls attention to the growing concerns about the effects of social media on youth mental health. It explores and describes the current evidence on the positive and negative impacts of social media on children and adolescents, some of the primary areas for mental health and well-being concerns, and opportunities for additional research to help understand the full scope and scale of social media\u2019s impact. This document is not an exhaustive review of the literature. Rather, it was developed through a substantial review of the available evidence, primarily found via electronic searches of research articles published in English and resources suggested by a wide range of subject matter experts, with priority given to, but not limited to, meta-analyses and systematic literature reviews. Yes, there are problems with many who are overly involved in what is called ‘social media.’ However, instead of trusting parents to deal with this, many are looking to government as well as governmental pressures on Big Tech.<\/p>\n

CNN<\/em> reported the following about something that happened last evening:<\/p>\n

Tech companies put on notice as Australia passes world-first social media ban for under-16s<\/h2>\n

November 29, 2024<\/p>\n

Australia\u2019s parliament has passed a world-first law banning social media for children under 16, putting tech companies on notice to tighten security before a cut-off date that\u2019s yet to be set.<\/p>\n

The Senate approved the social media ban\u00a0<\/strong>late on Thursday, the last sitting day of the year, following months of intense public debate and a rushed parliamentary process that saw the bill introduced, debated and passed within a week.<\/p>\n

Under the new law, tech companies must take \u201creasonable steps\u201d to prevent under-age users from accessing social media services or face fines of nearly 50 million Australian dollars ($32 million). …<\/p>\n

The ban is expected to apply to Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and X, but that list could expand.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised the new law on Friday, saying it sent a message to parents that \u201cwe\u2019ve got your back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPlatforms now have a social responsibility to ensure the safety of our kids is a priority for them,\u201d he said. …<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that social media can be a weapon for bullies, a platform for peer pressure, a driver of anxiety, a vehicle for scammers. And worst of all, a tool for online predators,\u201d he said. …<\/p>\n

But it met fierce opposition from some independents and smaller parties, including Greens Sen. Sarah Hanson-Young, who accused the major parties of trying to \u201cfool\u201d Australian parents.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a disaster unfolding before our eyes,\u201d she said. \u201cYou couldn\u2019t make this stuff up. The prime minister says he\u2019s worried about social media. The leader of the opposition says, \u2018Let\u2019s ban it.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a race to the bottom to try and pretend who can be the toughest, and all they end up with is pushing young people into further isolation and giving the platforms the opportunity to continue the free-for-all, because now there\u2019s no social responsibility required.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to make social media safer for everybody.\u201d https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/11\/28\/australia\/australia-passes-social-media-law-intl-hnk\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The above is not so much a race to the bottom as way to control and censor the internet.<\/p>\n

To make this work, first some type of way to identify users will have to be put in place. Perhaps at first, showing identification cards for ANY who want to access these platforms. While that has been done in some countries, smart young teens will get around this.<\/p>\n

Then, tech involving biometrics will likely be added.<\/p>\n

Then Big Tech will have additional information which governments may demand to be able to see in order to see who is posting what.<\/p>\n

This type of monitoring will not be limited to children under 16.<\/p>\n

Many in and out of the government have plans and are watching the internet with plans to deal with materials that they some day hope to silence.<\/p>\n

Notice a prophecy in the Book of Revelation:<\/p>\n

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.<\/p>\n

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above prophecy points to there being enforcers of monitoring, censorship, and totalitarian controls.<\/p>\n

Now, it is true that Revelation 13 has to do with Europe, places like the USA, UK, and Australia have taken steps which the coming European Beast power will build upon.<\/p>\n

And that will lead to more censorship.<\/p>\n

Back in 2016, I posted the following here:<\/p>\n

The Prophet Amos was inspired to record the following:<\/p>\n

11 \u201cBehold, the days are coming,\u201d says the Lord God,
\n\u201cThat I will send a famine on the land,
\nNot a famine of bread,
\nNor a thirst for water,
\nBut of hearing the words of the Lord.
\n12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
\nAnd from north to east;
\nThey shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
\nBut shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)<\/p>\n

Notice that the Bible tells of a time that will come when the word of God will not be found.<\/p>\n

That is not talking of a time when there are no Bibles.<\/p>\n

It would seem that Amos was writing about a time when much of the truth of God\u2019s religion will be taken off the internet. In the 21st century, the internet is accessed by people in every country, and thus some type of internet restriction\/suspension\/site removal is coming.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We are getting closer to this time. What Australia is trying to do is basically a prelude to additional censorship and monitoring.<\/p>\n

Because we in the Continuing<\/em>\u00a0Church of God<\/a> know more restrictions are coming, that is part of why we have been preparing for the \u2018short work\u2019 (Romans 9:28) and the coming \u2018famine of the word<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n

In time, the \u2018famine of the word\u2019 will hit.<\/p>\n

Jesus\u2019 message of the\u00a0Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a> will FIRST reach the world as a witness, and then the end will come:<\/p>\n

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The proclamation of\u00a0the\u00a0Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a> will succeed before the full \u2018famine of the word\u2019 will be in place. And that is why we have that booklet translated into hundreds of languages and have versions on numerous websites.<\/p>\n

We have been preparing for the ‘Short Work’<\/a> consistent with Romans 9:28.<\/p>\n

While Australia, other governments, and Big Tech will not stop Matthew 24:14 from being fulfilled, many are taking ‘666’ steps that will lead to the famine of the word.<\/p>\n
