Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has warned that the US president-elect\u2019s warning will only accelerate desire to abandon the dollar.<\/div>\n

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, has weighed in on US President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s weekend threat to impose 100% tariffs on BRICS countries if they pursue the creation of a currency to replace the US dollar. Peskov stressed on Monday that American pressure will only accelerate a growing global trend toward national currencies in trade, diminishing the greenback\u2019s role as a reserve currency.<\/p>\n

Peskov\u2019s remarks come after Trump\u2019s statement over the weekend on Truth Social, in which he warned that countries attempting to abandon the dollar in favor of an alternative would face severe economic consequences. \u201cThe dollar is starting to lose its attractiveness as a reserve currency for many nations,\u201d<\/em> Peskov said, adding that the erosion of its dominance is a \u201cprocess gaining strength.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This shift, Peskov noted, is not limited to BRICS nations but is a broader movement worldwide. The use of national currencies in trade is becoming increasingly common, as more states seek alternatives to the dollar, particularly in light of Western sanctions and the weaponization of financial systems. BRICS previously comprised Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, and was expanded in January to include Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Russia has supported the development of the BRICS Bridge platform, designed to facilitate settlements in national currencies, including via digital channels. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has emphasized that such initiatives aim to shield countries from the economic influence of the US … https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/608569-peskov-trump-brics-threat\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That is not a surprise, but is consistent with what I posted here yesterday related to this (see Donald Trumps threatens BRICS nations with 100% tariffs\u2013there will be unintended consequences<\/a>).<\/p>\n

One of the objectives of the BRICS alliance has been the elimination of the USA dollar as the world’s trading and reserve currency. With that in mind, notice also the following:<\/em><\/p>\n

BRICS: Russia Says Ditching US Dollar is a Top Priority in 2024<\/h2>\n

Following the theme that led the BRICS alliance throughout last year, Russia has said<\/a> that ditching the US Dollar is 2024\u2019s top priority. Indeed, the country is set to embrace the chairmanship of the group this year. Subsequently, it discussed the current financial reality of the global economic order as its most pressing point of cooperation.<\/p>\n

The statement was made at a recent gathering of BRICS Sherpas and Sous Sherpas that took place Monday. There, all BRICS nations were represented, including the five newest expanded countries. …<\/p>\n

\u201cIn line with the decision of the BRICS leaders in Johannesburg, we will explore ways to make greater use of national and local currency and payment instruments in our cross-border transactions,\u201d Sergey Ryabkov stated during the meeting. Moreover, he added that this would be done \u201cto reduce the negative side effects of the currency global economic system.\u201d<\/p>\n

Russia spearheaded the BRICS de-dollarization plans after Western sanctions were imposed following the invasion of Ukraine. That weaponization of the greenback instilled renewed fear in fellow alliance members. https:\/\/watcher.guru\/news\/brics-russia-says-ditching-us-dollar-is-a-top-priority-in-2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, while the astute observer may notice that it was Russia making the above comments, this ditching of the USA dollar is a key objective of the BRICS alliance, and not just Russia.<\/p>\n

The BRICS nations see the USA debt risk and despise USA sanction policies. They clearly want to topple the dominance of the US and its dollar (as do the Europeans, which is part of why they came out with the Euro).<\/p>\n

Those in Iran and some of the Arab lands, along with nations such as Brazil, China, and India have discussed plans for the removal of the dominance of the U.S.A. in global trade as well. The former (again current) President of Brazil, Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, even claimed that eliminating the U.S. dollar\u2019s reserve currency status was one of the reasons that the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) was formed in the first place. [i]<\/a> Others have\u00a0 noted that bypassing the USA dollar is still an object of BRICS\u2014and officially BRICS nations \u201care currently working on setting up a new global reserve currency,\u201d[ii]<\/a> which may have gold-backing.[iii]<\/a> The expansion of BRICS (which is in progress) may ultimately even hurt Australian trade as well as \u201cseverely weaken primacy of the US Dollar as an international currency.\u201d[iv]<\/a><\/p>\n

The Bible clearly warns against cheapening the money supply and encourages having money hold its value (Proverbs 25:4 Isaiah 1:25, Ezekiel 22:18-22). Debt is also warned against (Habakkuk 2:6-8). Yet policies enacted under the Obama, Trump, and Biden Administrations, following certain other administrations, have ignored these warnings.<\/p>\n

One day the US dollar will be toppled–but that will not fully happen in 2024. But let me add that the Bible teaches that a coming European power will accumulate gold too (cf. Daniel 11:38,43; see also The Plain Truth About Gold in Prophecy. How Should a Christian View Gold?<\/a><\/span>).<\/a><\/p>\n

Based upon several biblical prophecies, I have long written that the Asians and Europeans will cooperate, for a time, and eliminate the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies. They will divide their lands among them per Daniel 11:39, and many of the survivors will be made slaves (for more details check out the article Will the Anglo-Saxon Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

It should be added that part of the purpose of the Euro was to bypass the USA dollar for international trade. And, that has happened completely within the Eurozone block in the EU.<\/p>\n

Steps towards pushing away the Anglo-American dominance of the world for the past couple of centuries is happening.<\/p>\n

Although BRICS will not dominate the world economically like the coming European Beast power will, the BRICS nations and their actions will have major impacts on the world.<\/p>\n

The BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) have as one of their founding goals, to eliminate the need to use USA dollars in cross-border trade. Six additional nations have been invited to join BRICS in 2024, and India reports that six more are also being looked at. The BRICS nations have already began to drop the USA dollar for some cross-border trading with Russia and China indicating that they had almost done so completely in late 2023. What will happen to the economy and value of the USA dollar if more and more nations stop using it as a primary reserve and trading currency? What about hyperinflation? Does the Bible prophesy destruction for a highly indented nation in the end time? Is the USA the most indebted nation of all time? What about the intent and use of the Euro? After threatening Mexico and Canada, Trump decided to threaten the BRICS nations with 100 percent tariffs<\/a> if they choose to move away from the U.S. dollar\u2026<\/p>\n

President-elect Donald Trump threatened the BRIC group of emerging-market nations on Saturday, warning that he would impose 100% tariffs if they make any moves to undermine the U.S. dollar.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s comment, made on his Truth Social platform, is in apparent response to efforts to challenge or replace the U.S. dollar as the primary global reserve currency.<\/p>\n

The BRIC alliance, originally comprised of Brazil, Russia, India, and China, now includes five other countries: South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We have never seen an economic threat of this magnitude in modern history.<\/p>\n

In a post on Truth Social<\/a>, Trump explained why he has decided to make this move\u2026<\/p>\n

The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER. We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy. They can go find another \u201csucker!\u201d There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I was stunned when I first saw this.<\/p>\n

It is quite a bold move, but will it work?<\/p>\n

We shall see.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as “will it work’ goes, it will work to get more and more countries to want to trade more with each other and less with the USA.<\/p>\n

The time will come when the USA dollar will no longer remain “king.”<\/p>\n

This will greatly impact the economy of the USA.<\/p>\n
