Donald Trump is scheduled to become President of the United States on 20 January 2025.<\/p>\n

Many are excited, including various ones claiming to be in the Churches of God.<\/p>\n

ICG’s<\/a> Mark Armstrong put out the following in his newsletters:<\/p>\n

The whole world is jumping around in\u00a0<\/span>expectation of Trump being the boss<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>We have no idea what is about to happen. …<\/p>\n

It appears God has looked down in His great mercy and decided it\u2019s not time. I\u2019ve been hearing about the \u201cgun lap\u201d since the late \u201860s.\u00a0<\/span>It looks like we\u2019ve got more time to get things right. We should be more than thankful.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It looks like we\u2019re going to have some good years here in the U. S. I hope they don\u2019t release all the secrets at once, but it\u2019s about to begin, and I\u2019m sure God knows what\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n

There are also various other religious people who place their hopes on Donald Trump, despite his obvious moral flaws.<\/p>\n

In many ways, the USA is divided about the upcoming Donald Trump presidency. NPR<\/em> posted the following:<\/p>\n

Trump’s 2nd term represents hope for the right and fear of a dark era for others<\/h2>\n

January 19, 2025<\/p>\n

For the second time, Donald Trump will be inaugurated Monday as president of the United States.<\/p>\n

It represents a pivotal time in American history, a new period beyond the world order created by the United States and its allies post-World War II.<\/p>\n

For the right, it presents hope for a future of a country it sees as lurching too far to the left. But for millions of others, it’s the dawning of a dark era, one more nativist, inward-looking and mean-spirited that could leave the marginalized more vulnerable than ever. https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2025\/01\/19\/nx-s1-5267074\/donald-trump-inauguration-2025-analysis<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The fact is that, irrespective of what many supporters and detractors feel about another Donald Trump presidency, there will be many unintended consequences of it.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump is Fulfilling End Time Prophecy<\/h2>\n

Donald Trump is clearly an apocalyptic leader (cf. 2 Timothy 3:1-5). Although he is not the final Antichrist that the Bible warns about, Donald Trump has been helping fulfill many aspects of prophecy. Donald Trump is expected to help enable the rise of the final Antichrist\u2014so will any possible successor to him.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump has supported Islamic goals for an Arabic-confederation indirectly, and sometimes more directly, which will lead to a leader rising up over certain Islamic lands (Daniel 11:40; Ezekiel 30:1-8).<\/p>\n

While I believe that he believes he wants to help, certain of his actions are pointing to destruction.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump has made political, economic, and military statements which will ultimately help the rise of the upcoming Beast power in Europe. Donald Trump seems to think the relationship between Europe and the USA is better than it really is.<\/p>\n

This European Beast power will, after it has a prophesied reorganization and rises up, destroy the United States (Daniel 11:39). And the leader of this power is supposed to rise up \u201cWhen the transgressors have reached their fullness,\u201d (Daniel 8:23).<\/p>\n

Donald Trump has specifically caused people of the United States to err further away from biblical morality, which will lead to destruction (Isaiah 3:12; 9:16). Instead of advocating what should be considered as biblical morality, he has pushed positions that are clearly opposed to the laws of God (e.g. Romans 1:18-32).<\/p>\n

He has advocated policies (as have others) which are expected to increase the debt of the USA, hurt its military superiority, lead to civil unrest (cf. Deuteronomy 32:25), and set the USA up for ruin (Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n

Unintended Consequences<\/strong><\/p>\n

While Donald Trump seems to believe that his policies are best for the United States, notice some unintended consequences of them:<\/p>\n
