This week, Denmark\u2019s energy agency <a href=\"https:\/\/ens.dk\/presse\/energistyrelsen-giver-tilladelse-til-arbejder-ved-nord-stream-2-roerledningsanlaegget-i\">authorised<\/a>\u00a0Nord Stream 2 AG \u2013 the Russian-owned company that operates the pipelines \u2013 to begin work capping the severed ends of the three destroyed pipelines. That will be the first step to restoring the link that before Vladimir Putin\u2019s invasion of Ukraine used to supply up to a 40 per cent of Germany\u2019s gas.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes just days after Alice Weidel, leader of Germany\u2019s Alternative f\u00fcr Deutschland party or AfD, told a party conference in Riesa that \u2018we will put Nord Stream back into operation, you can count on it!\u2019 Weidel also promised to \u2018demolish all wind turbines\u2019 in Germany and \u2018restore the operation of functioning nuclear power plants\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>But the prospect of going back to business as usual with Russia after a ceasefire in Ukraine \u2013 and returning Germany to its strategic reliance on Putin\u2019s gas \u2013 is causing consternation among some EU members. 01\/30\/25 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spectator.co.uk\/article\/is-europe-about-to-switch-nord-stream-back-on\/\">https:\/\/www.spectator.co.uk\/article\/is-europe-about-to-switch-nord-stream-back-on\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>On January 28, 2025, the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) issued a permit to Nord Stream 2 AG, a subsidiary of Russia\u2019s Gazprom (GAZP.MM), allowing for the preservation of the compromised Nord Stream 2 pipeline located in the Baltic Sea. This decision appears to be a nuanced reaction to the threats made by President Trump regarding Greenland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>According to the permit which we have translated in English for your perusal, the work must be carried out from 1 April 2025 to 30 September 2025. Nord Stream 2 AG plans to carry out the work in the second or third quarter of 2025, and it is expected to last 2-3 weeks. <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/21stcenturywire.com\/2025\/01\/31\/is-nord-stream-2-back-in-business\/\">https:\/\/21stcenturywire.com\/2025\/01\/31\/is-nord-stream-2-back-in-business\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The USA wants to supply Germany the natural gas instead&#8211;but Europe has concerns about the USA now, as well as Russia.<\/p>\n<p>We also see that Canada and Mexico are responding to the latest sanctions Donald Trump has imposed on them:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>February 2, 2025<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday signed an order imposing 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada, as well as a 10% duty on China.<\/li>\n<li>In response to Trump\u2019s announcement, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau\u00a0announced retaliatory tariffs of 25% against $155 billion of U.S. goods.<\/li>\n<li>Mexico also vowed retaliation following news of the tariffs, although President Claudia Sheinbaum did not reveal specifics. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/02\/02\/it-doesnt-have-to-be-this-way-canada-mexico-and-china-respond-to-trumps-tariffs.html\">https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/02\/02\/it-doesnt-have-to-be-this-way-canada-mexico-and-china-respond-to-trumps-tariffs.html<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While the USA will feel some impacts for the tariffs on Canada and Mexico, I suspect that Donald Trump has figured that the pain to the economies of Mexico and Canada will make them bend to his demands as their economies are more dependent on exports to the USA than the USA&#8217;s is for exports to them.<\/p>\n<p>As I continue to warn, there will be many unintended consequences from Donald Trump&#8217;s statements and policies.<\/p>\n<p>The Nord Stream matter is one that could be very significant.<\/p>\n<p>It has long been my view that the Germans (and other Europeans) would make a deal with Russia against the US. We may be seeing deals starting to take place.<\/p>\n<p>A decade or so after I came to the conclusion that the Germans\/Europeans would make a deal with Russia against the US, I saw for the first time the following items from the old Radio Church of God:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Modern Europe is counseling and making treaties and alliances and agreements to conquer this earth! \u2026 Germany, those living in Germany, even the German government, may not yet know that they are going to join in a treaty with the Russians to destroy the United States and bring it to its knees-it is not in his \u201cheart\u201d to think so, but on the other hand it IS in his \u201cheart\u201d to destroy-the very characteristic of the Assyrian, the modern German, is a <em>harsh, cruel, iron, dedication to militarism and destruction!<\/em> \u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>MAN\u2019S ONLY HOPE LIES IN TURNING TO HIS CREATOR GOD! \u201cAt what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom. to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, TURN FROM THEIR EVIL, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them\u2026 Behold, I frame evil against YOU, and devise a device against YOU: return ye now EVERY ONE from his evil way and make your ways and your doings good!\u201d (Jer. 18:7, 8, 11). They are now thinking: \u201cPerhaps we can strike a better bargain with the Russians ourselves.\u201d \u2026 Once a German-dominated Europe is fully established, Germany will be ready to negotiate and bargain with Russia- and behind the backs of the Western Allies if necessary. \u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>When will a Russo-German deal be made?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Here is a quotation from a circular letter issued in September, 1950 by the Nazi Geo-political Center in Madrid: \u201cHowever long we may continue to milk the Americans of millions of dollars, there must come the inevitable moment when we shall have to make it crystal clear to them that we are not willing to join the fight against Russia for American interests \u2026 (Germany Plots with the Kremlin by T H. Terens, p. 15). \u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Most Americans and Britons are not aware of what Germany and Europe are planning against them. This is partly due to the cunning of German. politics. \u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>World events are moving swiftly toward the climax when Great Britain and the United. States will be attacked, conquered and DESTROYED! (Boraker R. Are the Germans Secretly Dealing with Moscow? Plain Truth, May 1962, pp. 45-47)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The deal Russia will later make with the Europeans will not end well for the US (cf. Daniel 11:39). While Nord Stream 2, <em>per se<\/em>, is not the deal I am referring to, it helps set the stage for a deal that could take place in just a relatively few years. It should be noted that this Beast leader is NOT Russian (see also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/is-russia-the-king-of-the-north.htm\">Is Russia the King of the North?<\/a>), but European (watch also <a title=\"Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-ZOCVZMXHSU\" data-sessionlink=\"ei=u2oWUZXyBcaDhgG7z4CoCA&amp;feature=plcp\">Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?<\/a>). Despite claims from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/salvation.htm\">Protestant<\/a> Joel Richardson, this Beast leader also is NOT Islamic (see also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/news\/religious-news\/islamic-antichrist-battle-of-two-books-will-europe-rise-up-or-collapse\/\">Is There an Islamic Antichrist?<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The late Worldwide Church of God (WCG) evangelist Raymond McNair wrote the following last century:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2><span class=\"font_title2\"><b>Bible Prophecy Foretells &#8211; A STRONG UNITED EUROPE<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">Millenniums ago Bible prophecy foretold a powerful United Europe<\/span> &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Importance of Bible Prophecy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">Will the long-dreamed-of &#8220;United States of Europe&#8221; become a reality in our time? Will a strong, United Europe be a good thing? Will it help bring greater peace, prosperity and stability to Europe and to the world \u2014 as its architects envision? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">You need to know the prophetic answers to these crucial questions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">The Bible reveals the startling answers to these vital questions. You need to really understand the full significance of where today&#8217;s drive to UNITE EUROPE, and turn this long-divided continent into a strong Superpower, is leading. &#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Catholic Common Market &#8230;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">What was the aim of these &#8220;prime movers&#8221; of the U.S.-of-Europe movement?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span class=\"font_text\"> &#8220;Primarily their aim was to create a powerful superstate out of the Catholic countries bordering the Rhine and the Alps: a bastion of Christian civilization against the communist and socialist threat at home and abroad&#8230;. But their main aim was to create a federal state in which Frenchmen, Italians, and Germans would find a new patriotism&#8221; (The General Says No, by Nora Beloff.)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">This same author goes on to mention that: &#8220;The new Europe which did emerge was overwhelmingly Catholic &#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">\u00a0Believe it or not, long ago, God Almighty revealed through the prophecies of the Bible that the coming United States of Europe would have strong religious connections. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">Here is a rather interesting quote, from a British news magazine, TOPIC (March 24, 1962). This article appeared during the time when Britain was still knocking on the Common Market door \u2014 before her first rejection by the Six. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span class=\"font_text\">&#8220;The Vatican, usually cautious over political changes not of its own inspiration, now considers the Commoin Market the work of Divine Providence. Not since the times of Spain&#8217;s Charles V has a Roman Catholic political force been so strongly welded. Not since the end of the Holy Roman Empire has the Holy See been offered a Catholic rallying point like the Common Market. If the &#8216;Pact of Rome,&#8217; which created the Common Market, had been signed within the Vatican walls, it could not have favoured the Church more. There are 134,000,000 Catholics out of a total population of 175,000,000 in the original Six nations. The only Protestant bloc is in Western Germany, which remains a shaky 51 percent Protestant. But the 26,000,000 West German Catholics are not a silent minority, and can be compared to the Irish in America for aggressiveness, superb organization in politics, and calm optimism for the day when they become the majority. Meanwhile, they draw comfort knowing that 77 percent of the Six are Catholics.&#8221;&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">Certainly, whatever happens, Bible prophecy shows that the coming United States of Europe \u2014 referred to in King James&#8217; language as the &#8220;BEAST&#8221; of Revelation 13 and 17 \u2014 will have strong religious (or &#8220;Christian&#8221;) connections. Sitting astride a United Europe will be a great Church or Church system \u2014 prophesied two thousand years ago (see Rev. 17).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">But, who is the &#8220;Beast&#8221; mentioned in the 13th and 17th chapters of Revelation?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">Many Bible commentaries point out that the &#8220;Beast&#8221; of the 13th and 17th chapters of Revelation is &#8220;the Roman Empire.&#8221; It is also interesting that a Roman Catholic Bible (New Testament, Confraternity edition \u2014 published by the Catholic Book Publishing Company) has an interesting footnote comment on Rev. 17:11 as follows: &#8220;The beast spoken of here seems to be the Roman Empire, as in chapter 13.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Modern Roman Empire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">Let&#8217;s speak plainly: the prophecies of your Bible reveal that in this end-time there would be the seventh and final revival (or resurrection) of the Roman Empire. &#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">In the second chapter of Daniel, we find this same world kingdom depicted as the ten toes of the great image \u2014 representing the ten kings ultimately to unite at the very end of this age of man&#8217;s 6,000-year period of misrule! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">This is also depicted as a &#8220;Beast&#8221; in Revelation 17:8-17. Here we see a &#8220;Beast&#8221; \u2014 picturing the Roman Empire \u2014 which is to ascend out of a &#8220;bottomless pit.&#8221; But it will go into perdition or destruction. When the inhabitants of the earth see this &#8220;Beast&#8221; \u2014 this Fascist form of government \u2014 come out of a condition of virtual nonexistence, they&#8217;re going to be dumbfounded. They &#8220;shall wonder&#8221;! (Verse 8.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">Yes, the whole world will be utterly amazed when they see this &#8220;Beast&#8221; resurrected or revived \u2014 for the last time, thank God! Tomorrow&#8217;s World, February 1970)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The old WCG warned of a superstate coming in Europe, but it also warned it would have some type of Greco-Roman Catholic ties. The joint declaration from so-called euroskeptics is consistent with that.<\/p>\n<p>15 years after the above by Raymond McNair was published, the old WCG published the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"font_text\"> The Bible shows that 10 nations or groups of nations in Europe will be goaded by circumstances to unite. They will be unlikely allies, &#8220;iron mixed with miry clay&#8221; is how the Bible describes them (Dan. 2). But a common cause \u2014 or a common fear \u2014 forces them into a fragile union. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">There is nothing fragile about what happens next. These 10 nations, spurred on by religious idealism, give up their sovereignty to a charismatic leader. This leader and the superstate that he rules are described in the prophecies as a particularly ferocious and predatory wild animal, the like of which the world has not seen. The peaceful and ambivalent nature of Europe today will change. Led by a voracious appetite and possessing \u2014 perhaps possessed by \u2014 the very power of Satan himself, this economic-political-religious union \u2014 this wild animal or &#8220;beast&#8221; \u2014 will go on the rampage. For three and a half terrible years it savages real and imagined enemies. Britain, the United States and certain Middle East countries are among the first to fall, but no nation is safe.
