Scientists have concluded that the universe will continue to expand forever:<\/p>\n

Those of us in the Churches of God have long believed this based not upon telescopic images, but the following scriptures:<\/p>\n
7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end (Isaiah 9:7).<\/p>\n
33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. (Luke 1:33)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The only way for God’s kingdom to continue to increase forever is if the universe expands forever.<\/p>\n
Now, this expansion view causes scientists a problem.<\/p>\n
Which is?<\/p>\n
That it means that the universe had a beginning.\u00a0 Of course, Bible believers have always know this as the Bible starts out with the following:<\/p>\n
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Yet, as certain scientists did not want to accept that the universe had a beginning, some instead tended to want to believe a certain type of nonsense called the oscillating universe theory. I always felt that theory violated the known laws of physics and was an attempt by some scientists to try to persuade themselves that the universe had no beginning and that there was no God (for more details, see the article Is God’s Existence Logical?<\/a>).<\/p>\n
This year I watched a couple of documentaries related to dark matter and dark energy. Basically, many scientists say that without them, their explanations of the universe and how it functions are wrong. Then, scientists also admit that dark energy and dark matter may not exist. Hence, the idea that scientists have a better explanation of the origin of the universe than that contained in scripture is based on unproven theory after unproven theory, and many guesses–not actual science.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, as far as actual or fake science go, notice a statement from Nobel Prize winner Dr. George Wald, from Harvard University related to the origin of life:<\/p>\n
The reasonable view was to believe in spontaneous generation (life from nothing); the only alternative, to believe in a single, primary act of supernatural creation. There is no third position . . .\u00a0One has only to contemplate the magnitude of this task to concede that the spontaneous generation of a living organism is impossible.<\/strong>\u00a0(Scott I. The God Solution: Are You Ready? Xlibris Corporation, 2013, p. 41)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Believing something that is impossible is not scientific\u2013accepting evolution as the origin of life is another false religion.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the acceptance of a supernatural creation (Genesis 1) is the only scientific option according to statements like the above.<\/p>\n
Sadly, scientists are still not generally, publicly ready to embrace the idea of a Creator.<\/p>\n
But the fact that they are starting to admit that the universe will expand forever and their explanation for life is impossible, hopefully means that they are distancing themselves away from the oscillating universe theory and the spontaneous evolutionary emergence of life.<\/p>\n
And without those theories, they have to admit that the universe had a beginning in a specific point in time and some supernatural being started life. And the Bible is clear about that (Genesis 1:1).<\/p>\n
