German Police Raid 170 Homes Over ‘Hate Speech’, Insults To Politicians<\/h2>\n

June 28, 2025<\/p>\n

On Wednesday morning at 6 a.m., a large-scale police operation was launched across Germany, targeting hundreds of individuals suspected of insulting politicians or spreading \u201chate and incitement\u201d online.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The massive crackdown saw police launch morning raids against 170 individuals, which saw police seize computers, cell phones, and tablets, and conduct searches in multiple locations across the country.<\/p>\n

The action, which was conducted by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), uses the new\u00a0Criminal Code Paragraph 188 to target individuals accused of racism and hate speech.<\/p>\n

North Rhine-Westphalia\u2019s Interior Minister, Herbert Reul (CDU), who has overseen a massive increase in crime in his state in recent years \u2014\u00a0including violent crimes and knife crimes committed by foreigners<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 celebrated the police raids.<\/p>\n

\u201cDigital arsonists must not be able to hide behind their cell phones or computers,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>he said.<\/p>\n

His state conducted 14 of the approximately 130 nationwide cases in a \u201cday of action\u201d against so-called hate postings.<\/p>\n

In fact, even as the number of such raids has exploded in recent years, violent crime has also reached record highs in Germany, in large part due to mass immigration, which is a statistical fact. However, police resources have shifted towards targeting hate speech violations, including those complaining about rising crime in relation to mass immigration, with even politicians, such as Alternative for Germany\u2019s (AfD) Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Kaiser,\u00a0being targeted in such cases<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Germany now routinely has these \u201cdays of action\u201d against citizens who commit \u201cviolations\u201d against new and more draconian speech laws in Germany.<\/strong> In some cases, a national scandal has erupted when the details of the cases became public, such as the case of a pensioner, Stefan Niehoff, having his house raided over calling former Economic Minister Robert Habeck an \u201cidiot.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the details of the case show, Niehoff became a major target for speaking out against the raid, with the state eventually dropping the \u201cidiot\u201d charge, the one they raided his house for, and pursuing other ones. He was eventually convicted for a variety of\u00a0retweets despite these retweets being explicitly anti-Nazi posts that targeted left-wing politicians<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In another case, someone criticized CDU leader Friedrich Merz as \u201cdrunken.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is unclear who was targeted in the latest raids and what statements they made. Most cases allegedly involve right-wing extremist statements, but a small number of cases involve extremist religious or left-wing extremist content. It should also be noted that Alternative for Germany (AfD) co-leader Alice Weidel has also filed a number of such complaints, a point she has been criticized for. However, it is unclear if anyone\u2019s house was raided over any of her complaints. Germany\u2019s Interior Ministry, headed by Nancy Faeser \u2013\u00a0known for banning media outlets<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth have\u00a0launched<\/a>\u00a0a project dubbed, \u201cAdvice Compass on Conspiracy Thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n

The center is there to provide advice to anyone who \u201csuspect their friends or family members have fallen victim to conspiracy theories,\u201d according to the Interior Ministry. …<\/p>\n

\u201cHolistic\u201d is how Faeser chose to describe this approach and the inclusion of the \u201cadvice\u201d center into Germany\u2019s overall fight against what the authorities consider to be extremism and disinformation.<\/p>\n

Faeser chose to justify the project by linking the issue of conspiracy theories with disinformation and lies, and as has become the habit over these last years, assigning immense power to these phenomena (\u201cThey are spread deliberately to divide our society and destroy trust in independent science, free media or democratic institutions.\u201d) …<\/p>\n

Faeser observes that people know their family members and friends the best, and are therefore uniquely positioned to know what they think (this is, after all, about policing citizens\u2019 thinking, not actions).<\/p>\n

But what to do if a person in your life thinks differently, and cannot be persuaded to change their mind and agree with you? Maybe let them think about what they like?<\/p>\n

Not according to Faeser and her political and NGO allies. Hence \u2013 \u201cthe Compass on Conspiracy Thinking contact point,\u201d is now available to citizens across Germany.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first appointment is for anonymous initial advice and assessment of individual needs,\u201d a statement explained, adding, \u201cIf the initial consultation reveals a longer-term need for advice, the subsequent advice process is passed on to a local advice center.\u201d https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/germany-advice-compass-conspiracy-theories-reporting<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above sounds a lot that was warned about in George Orwell’s book 1984. Here are some quotes from it:<\/p>\n

    Also, in places like East Germany, people were encouraged to turn in friends and relatives, as were people in the old Soviet Union, the old Soviet block, and various other communist nations.<\/p>\n

    Now, the supposedly “free” government of Germany wants that done now.<\/p>\n

    Jesus warned:<\/p>\n

In reality, this infrastructure risks becoming a weapon to stifle independent journalism, dissenting voices, and any narrative that challenges the EU\u2019s policy positions. \u2026<\/p>\n

    By framing the \u201cstruggle for narrative\u201d as an ongoing battle, the EU justifies ever-expanding surveillance and regulation of online platforms\u00a0and pressuring\u00a0companies like Twitter to align with its goals.     Let me add that the European Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office officially started operations on 1 June 2021 (https:\/\/www.eppo.europa.eu\/en\/background<\/a>). It was established to be able to prosecute what it considers to be financial crimes.<\/p>\n

    So, there is an office to prosecute, there is a \u2018Ministry of Truth\u2019 agency, and Europe has been working on supercomputers, a digital currency, and Artificial Intelligence\u2013all of those types of things are leading to the fulfillment of the 666 and other totalitarian prophecies for Europe.<\/p>\n

    Other governments across the West, from Australia to Canada, have taken similar actions.     Is Germany Becoming Orwell\u2019s 1984?<\/a><\/h3>\n

    In his novel 1984 George Orwell described a totalitarian government that controlled all aspects of human existence. \u201cBig Brother is Watching You\u201d was the reality of this government.
