The swarm \u2014 hundreds of small earthquakes hitting the same area in quick succession \u2014 started around 1:30 a.m. local time Tuesday and was continuing into Wednesday,\u00a0data showed<\/a>.But there was no cause for concern, according to the Cascades Volcano Observatory, which monitors volcanoes across Washington, Oregon and Idaho. …<\/p>\n

The last time Mount Rainier saw a large swarm was over a three-day period in 2009, when 1,000 earthquakes hit, with the largest being a magnitude 2.3. …<\/p>\n

While there may not be an immediate cause for concern, there is the partially-related aspect of Mt. Rainier’s location in the Cascadia Subduction Zone, plus the fact that it is a stratovolcano with the potential to erupt. Stratovolcanoes are characterized by a steep profile with a summit crater and explosive eruptions.<\/p>\n

The United States Geologic Survey (USGS) says the series of earthquakes began around 1:30 a.m. PT, with hundreds having been detected. The largest earthquake so far was just a magnitude 1.7.\u00a0 … Many earthquakes in Washington state are linked to the motion of the Juan de Fuca Plate and the North American Continental Plate moving against each other as the Juan de Fuca Plate slips beneath the North American continent, according to PNSN. So, I would not say that there is no risk now, though the period of risk is greater in the future.<\/p>\n

The study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences <\/em>and led by Tina Dura, assistant professor of geosciences at Virginia Tech, highlighted the potential for a major earthquake in the Cascadia subduction zone that could cause coastal land to sink<\/a> by as much as 6.5 feet. Dura\u2019s team generated numerous earthquake models to estimate the range of potential land sinking from a future Cascadia earthquake. They then used geospatial analysis to quantify the expansion of the floodplain at 24 estuaries and communities along the subduction zone.\u00a0 \u2026<\/p>\n

The Cascadia subduction zone<\/a> is a fault in the tectonic plates that runs 700 miles from Vancouver Island in Canada to California\u2019s Cape Mendocino. It is a part of the Ring of Fire, a 25,000-mile-long horseshoe-shaped region encompassing the Pacific Ocean, the most seismically active area on the planet.\u00a0 It includes most of California<\/a>, Washington State, and Alaska. The Ring of Fire consists of 452 volcanoes, more than 75 percent of active volcanoes in the world today. About 90 percent of the world\u2019s earthquakes and 81 percent of the world\u2019s largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. All but three of the world\u2019s 25 largest volcanic eruptions of the last 11,700 years occurred at the Ring of Fire volcanoes.<\/p>\n

If a cataclysmic earthquake hits the West Coast, the Cascadia subduction zone will likely be the culprit. The largest earthquake in the continental U.S. was caused by a shift in the subduction zone on January 26, 1700, generating a tsunami so large it damaged villages in Japan. https:\/\/israel365news.com\/408675\/study-warns-of-imminent-earthquake-devastating-us-west-coast-rabbi-warns-of-pre-messiah\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, a massive earthquake in the Cascadia subduction zone would be potentially devastating. But we would likely have to see more severe quaking for Mt. Rainier to have much to do with it.<\/p>\n

We know that Jesus prophesied the following:<\/p>\n

8 \u2026 And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be\u2026<\/strong>troubles<\/strong>. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The beginning of sorrows is BEFORE the start of the Great Tribulation. But as far at the really big earthquake that is mentioned in biblical prophecy is the following one:<\/p>\n

18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. 19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. (Revelation 16:18-20)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that the above earthquake is so big that the cities of the nations will fall. Mountains will be leveled and islands “fled away” (more on this can be found in the article Islands aeand Bible Prophecy<\/a>). This seems to be the biggest earthquake that will ever hit the planet with humans on it. Despite the view of ‘preterists’ that this already happened (see The Dangerous Rise of Preterists<\/a>), that is nonsense.<\/p>\n

The earthquake of Revelation 16 will be bigger than what the usual “experts” have believed was possible. It will change the planet and humble parts of humanity.<\/p>\n

Changes to the earth’s core and magnetic fields may be geological factors God will use to trigger that quake (watch also Earth’s Core and Earthquakes<\/a>).<\/p>\n

It should be noted since that apparently biggest of all earthquakes seems to take place near the end of the Day of the Lord, it probably cannot happen prior to 2031 or 2032 (for more on why as well as dates, please see the articles When Can the Great Tribulation Begin?<\/a> and Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

For years (e.g. Weather Affected Fall of Rome, Will it Affect the USA\u2019s Fall?<\/a>), I have warned that the USA could be hit with a ‘perfect storm’ of events and disaster that could weaken it during the ‘beginning of sorrows’ so that it would be easier for it to be taken over at the start of the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n

Many think that the USA cannot fall.<\/p>\n

But consider the impact of many “natural” disasters–actually receiving curses from God for disobedience:<\/p>\n

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:<\/p>\n

16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.<\/p>\n

17 “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.<\/p>\n

18 “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.<\/p>\n

19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.<\/p>\n

20 “The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. 21 The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. 24 The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.<\/p>\n

25 “The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth. (Deuteronomy 28:15-25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible is clear that God controls the weather and various calamities, but wants people to heed His prophets:<\/p>\n

6\u2026 If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?<\/p>\n

7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. (Amos 3:6-7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible tells of weather-related blessings for obedience and weather-related curses for disobedience. Weather is not as random as many people seem to want to believe.<\/p>\n

As far as repentance goes, the Bible shows:<\/p>\n

30 God \u2026 commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And weather-problems are one tool that God uses to urge people to repent (cf. Haggai 2:17; Amos 4:7-12). But most will not. Nor will most Christians as they should (cf. Revelation 3:14-18; see also The Laodicean Church Era<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Most will ignore weather changes and simply believe that weather changes all the time and the changes do not have to do with God or disobeying His laws.<\/p>\n

Jesus taught:<\/p>\n

34<\/span> \u201cBut take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. <\/span>35<\/span> For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. <\/span>36<\/span> Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.\u201d<\/span> (Luke 21:34-36)<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is the time to get your spiritual life in order.<\/p>\n

Earthquakes and Super Volcanos<\/a><\/h3>\n

Is a black swan just another pretty bird? Well, yes, but a black swan event has a totally different meaning. A black swan event is described by Britannica.com as: “A black swan event is an unexpected and highly impactful event. It is characterized by its extreme rarity, severe consequences, and the tendency for people to rationalize it only in hindsight.” Would a massive earthquake or the eruption of a super volcano qualify as a black swan event? The answer is yes. One black swan event that poses a risk right now is the massive super volcanos long overdue to erupt and another black swan event is the tectonic plates that are generating incredible pressure as they grind against each other and will result in massive earthquakes. The United States has both the massive Yellowstone super volcano and the San Andreas Fault as well as Ring of Fire. Could a black swan event jeopardize the very existence of the United States? Is it possible one or more events could set the United States up for an invasion from the King of the North? Does the Bible foretell of an earthquake so large and powerful that mountains are leveled and the islands fled away? The beginning of these events is referred to as \u201cThe Beginning of Sorrows\u201d and will lead up to the \u201cGreat Tribulation\u201d.
