There was a climate related vote in the United Nations today that the USA probably did not like:<\/p>\n

Will the USA be a Climate Outlaw?! UN\u2019s top court says failing to protect planet from climate change could violate international law \u2013 Those harmed by the climate \u2018could be entitled to reparations\u2019<\/h2>\n

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) \u2014 The United Nations\u2019s top court in a landmark advisory opinion Wednesday said countries could be in violation of international law if they fail to take measures to protect the planet from climate change, and nations harmed by its effects could be entitled to reparations.<\/p>\n

Advocates immediately cheered the International Court of Justice opinion on nations\u2019 obligations to tackle climate change and the consequences they may face if they don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

\u201cFailure of a state to take appropriate action to protect the climate system \u2026 may constitute an internationally wrongful act,\u201d court President Yuji Iwasawa said during the hearing. He called the climate crisis \u201can existential problem of planetary proportions that imperils all forms of life and the very health of our planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The non-binding opinion, which runs to over 500 pages, was hailed as a turning point in international climate law.<\/p>\n

Notably, the court said a \u201cclean, healthy and sustainable environment\u201d is a human right. That paves the way for other legal actions, including states returning to the ICJ to hold each other to account as well as domestic lawsuits, along with legal instruments like investment agreements.<\/p>\n

The case was led by the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu and backed by more than 130 countries.<\/p>\n

To answer the question in the above headline, yes, I believe that the USA will be considered to be a climate outlaw.<\/p>\n

The USA, particularly under the presidency of Donald Trump, has concerned many regarding his climate statements, actions, and positions.<\/p>\n

Climate Change <\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s views against the \u2018climate change\u2019 agenda have not pleased the Europeans.<\/p>\n

As 45th<\/sup> President, Donald Trump pulled his nation out of the Paris Climate Accord agreement that the Obama-Biden Administration agreed to. The Biden-Harris Administration had the country rejoin that deal. Donald Trump intends to pull the USA out of the agreement again.<\/p>\n

The Paris conference was technically called the 21st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change<\/em>, often abbreviated COP21. This is something that the Vatican also endorsed. There has been a COP meeting most of the years since (COVID affected it), but partially because of Donald Trump\u2019s re-election, COP29 (held for two weeks in November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan) was considered ineffective in making significant improvements.<\/p>\n

Europeans consider that they are the ones that are \u201cmoral\u201d on this matter and that the re-election of Donald Trump is making international climate improvement much more difficult. [i]<\/a><\/p>\n

Perhaps it should also be mentioned that Olav Fykse Tveit, when he was General Secretary of the World Council of Churches said it was a \u201csin against the Holy Spirit, if we all ignore climate change.\u201d [ii]<\/a> Essentially, he is stating it is the \u2018unpardonable sin\u2019 (cf. Luke 12:10) to not accept the climate change agenda. Donald Trump railed against the climate change agenda in his latest campaign and believes much of it is against America\u2019s interests.[iii]<\/a><\/p>\n

Irrespective of how one views the climate change matter, holding views that differ from Olav Fykse Tveit is not a \u201csin against the Holy Spirit.\u201d However, the reality is that countries, like the USA, should not agree to something on an international basis (like COP21) and then not follow through (cf. Psalm 15:1-4).<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s view of climate change has caused issues with Europe. Europe tends to see the USA as an irresponsible polluter of the planet, while Europe increasingly believes itself to be the environmental protector that the world needs.<\/p>\n

Yes, I believe that part of the justification that the European Beast power will point to in a partial effort to justify the coming conquering of the United States (cf. Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11) will be because of climate actions and inactions.<\/p>\n

Now, there were issues in the first Trump Administration.<\/p>\n

Before US President Donald Trump took office, I wrote and had the following published:<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s view of climate change is expected to set up some type of issue between the USA and Europe. Europe will tend to see the USA as an irresponsible polluter of the planet, while Europe will claim to be the protector that the world needs. (Thiel B. Furthermore, because of at least two of Donald Trump’s executive orders in his first presidential term, the USA was being called a rogue nation. Here is a dictionary definition of rogue:<\/p>\n

2.a playfully mischievous person; scamp:<\/p>\n

The USA Declared a \u2018Rogue Nation\u2019!<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Because of US President Donald Trump\u2019s position on \u2018climate change\u2019 as well as certain executive orders from him, the USA has been declared a rogue nation by various ones in Europe, Africa, Asia, and other parts of the world. How does Webster\u2019s Dictionary define \u2018rogue\u2019? Is it possible that considering that the USA is a rogue nation will be part of the justification for it getting taken over in the future? What does the Vatican want done? Does the Bible teach that friends, who do not mean to takeover the USA will one day destroy it? Might \u2018climate change\u2019 be part of a false gospel?<\/p>\n

The relationship with Europe will get worse than people expect. ‘Climate change’ is likely to be one reason that the Europeans will feel justified about what they will ultimately do.<\/p>\n

The Europeans will turn against its ‘friend’ that was “great among the nations”:<\/p>\n

1 How lonely sits the city
\nThat was full of people!
\nHow like a widow is she,
\nWho was great among the nations!
\nThe princess among the provinces
\nHas become a slave!<\/p>\n

2 She weeps bitterly in the night,
\nHer tears are on her cheeks;
\nAmong all her lovers
\nShe has none to comfort her.
\nAll her friends have dealt treacherously with her;
\nThey have become her enemies. (Lamentations 1:1-2)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Europeans will take over the “great” USA per Daniel 11:39 (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a><\/span>). If more and more consider the USA to be a rogue nation, it will be easier to persuade more to support the takeover. Climate positions of the USA may be something that will be used to justify the takeover.<\/p>\n

This will happen, even though the Europeans do not think that they want to:<\/p>\n

5 “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger
\nAnd the staff in whose hand is My indignation.
\n6 I will send him against an ungodly nation,
\nAnd against the people of My wrath
\nI will give him charge,
\nTo seize the spoil, to take the prey,
\nAnd to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
\n7 Yet he does not mean so,
\nNor does his heart think so;
\nBut it is in his heart to destroy,
\nAnd cut off not a few nations.
\n8 For he says,
\n‘Are not my princes altogether kings?
\n9 Is not Calno like Carchemish?
\nIs not Hamath like Arpad?
\nIs not Samaria like Damascus?
\n10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols,
\nWhose carved images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
\n11 As I have done to Samaria and her idols,
\nShall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?'” (Isaiah 10:5-11)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The USA is becoming more and more isolated from the international community and this will not end well for the USA.<\/p>\n

That said, human are to take care of the earth. Here is one scripture to look at:<\/p>\n

15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it (Genesis 2:15).<\/p>\n

But when Jesus returns, one of the things He will do is stop the nations from destroying life on the planet per Matthew 24:21-22.<\/p>\n

Let me add, that even after the USA is conquered, the Beast and his allies will NOT have fixed the environment.<\/p>\n

Notice something related to the time of Jesus’ return:<\/p>\n

18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,
\nAnd the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
\nAnd that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,
\nAnd those who fear Your name, small and great,
\nAnd should destroy those who destroy the earth (Revelation 11:18).<\/p>\n

Thus, the United Nations will NOT fix the environment.<\/p>\n

God is not pleased when humans abuse the environment.<\/p>\n

It will take the Kingdom of God<\/a>, not the international environmental movement, to solve the major problems associated with polluting the earth.<\/p>\n
