A highly anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, has ended without a deal on ending Moscow\u2019s war in Ukraine, but the United States president said \u201cgreat progress\u201d has been made in the talks in Alaska<\/a>. …<\/p>\n

\u201cSo there is no deal until there is a deal,\u201d Trump said, adding that he will now call up NATO as well as President Zelenskyy and others to brief them on the meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s ultimately up to them,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n

During a joint press conference following their multi-hour summit on ending the war in Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin said that if Donald Trump had been president in 2022, Russia would not have invaded Ukraine. This is essentially Putin blaming the Biden-Harris regime and its corrupt Deep State pals. We’re sure Western corporate media will be all but silent on this new development.<\/p>\n

Putin stated:<\/p>\n

“I’d like to remind you that in 2022, during the last contact with a previous administration, I tried to convince my previous American colleague it should not…the situation…should not be brought to the point of no return when it would come to hostilities. And I said quite directly back then that’s a big mistake. <\/em>Today, when President Trump saying that if he was the president back then there will be no war. And I’m quite sure it would indeed be so. I can confirm that<\/u><\/em><\/strong>. I think overall me and President Trump have built a very good business-like trustworthy contact. And every reason to believe moving down this path better to the end of the conflict in Ukraine.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Political commentator Rogan O’Handley emphasized<\/a> on X that “Democrat Media isn’t going to like this clip, but it’s true Biden and Kamala pushed for Ukraine to be added to NATO and then all hell broke loose Plus we all know Ukraine was Biden and the Deep State’s money laundering playground And don’t even get me started on the biolabs<\/strong>\u2026”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Donald Trump telephoned the Volodymyr Zelensky related to the meeting:<\/p>\n

The phone call between US President Donald Trump and Ukraine\u2019s Vladimir Zelensky after the Alaska summit on Friday \u201cwasn\u2019t easy,\u201d<\/em> Axios correspondent Barak Ravid claimed on Saturday, citing a source with direct knowledge. …<\/p>\n

Trump spoke with Zelensky for about an hour, according to Ravid. Also on the line were Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff, both of whom had earlier taken part in the talks with the Russian delegation. …<\/p>\n

Ravid described the call as \u201cnot easy,\u201d<\/em> though he did not elaborate on this, adding only that Trump insisted that \u201ca fast peace deal is better than a ceasefire.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The US president later confirmed the sentiment, writing: \u201cIt was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Zelensky said that during the phone call with Trump the two agreed that he would come on Monday to Washington to discuss in person the outcome of the summit. https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/623062-trump-zelensky-talks-not-easy-axios\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Europeans also put out a statement about this meeting:<\/p>\n

Leaders welcomed President Trump\u2019s efforts to stop the killing in Ukraine, end Russia\u2019s war of aggression, and achieve just and lasting peace.<\/p>\n

As President Trump said \u2018there\u2019s no deal until there\u2019s a deal\u2019. As envisioned by President Trump, the next step must now be further talks including President Zelenskyy, whom he will meet soon.<\/p>\n

We are also ready to work with President Trump and President Zelenskyy towards a trilateral summit with European support. …<\/p>\n

We are clear that Ukraine must have ironclad security guarantees to effectively defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. We welcome President Trump\u2019s statement that the US is prepared to give security guarantees. The Coalition of the Willing is ready to play an active role. …<\/p>\n

It will be up to Ukraine to make decisions on its territory. As far as ceding territory goes, I wrote in 2013 and 2019 that Russia would end up with territory that Ukraine had controlled. We also put out a video BEFORE the start of Russia’s ‘Special Military Operation’ into Ukraine where I stated that at least parts of Ukraine would end up in or supporting Russia. I stand by that and believe that ultimately will be the case–and it is, right now the case, de facto<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Trump Says Xi Jinping Made Promise on Taiwan Invasion<\/h2>\n

U.\u00a0S. President Donald Trump<\/a> said Chinese President Xi Jinping<\/a> gave him a personal assurance that he wouldn’t invade Taiwan while Trump was in the White House.<\/p>\n

Trump made the comment during an interview with Fox News<\/a>‘ Special Report<\/em> ahead of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin<\/a> in Alaska on Friday.<\/p>\n

Newsweek<\/em> contacted the Chinese Foreign Ministry for comment on Saturday via email.<\/p>\n

Why It Matters<\/h2>\n

The Chinese government has long regarded Taiwan, an island democracy with about 23 million people, as a renegade province, and Xi has repeatedly said it will be “reunified”<\/a> with mainland China. In June, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth<\/a> said there was an “imminent” threat that China could invade Taiwan, amid reports that Xi had set a 2027 deadline for Beijing’s sovereignty over the island to be established. …<\/p>\n

Speaking with Fox News before his summit with Putin on Friday, Trump said: “I will tell you, you know, you have a very similar thing with President Xi of China and Taiwan, but I don’t believe there’s any way it’s going to happen as long as I’m here. We’ll see.”<\/p>\n

“He told me, ‘I will never do it as long as you’re president.’ President Xi told me that, and I said, ‘Well, I appreciate that,’ but he also said, ‘But I am very patient, and China is very patient,'” he continued. https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/trump-says-xi-jinping-made-promise-taiwan-invasion-2114437<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

China has long wanted Taiwan back, yet the above is not a surprise.<\/p>\n

Despite the views of many in Taiwan,\u00a0Taiwan will end up under China’s control.<\/p>\n

China does have the military ability to take over Taiwan. And it has repeatedly made it clear that it expects Taiwan to reunify.<\/p>\n

China has been biding its time, while also planning various ways to get Taiwan to reunify with it.<\/p>\n

Since no later than 2009, I have posted on this COGwriter Church of God New page my position that Taiwan will end up aligning with China.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because of certain biblical prophecies such as the following:<\/p>\n

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. (Revelation 16:12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Perhaps it should be mentioned that instead of “kings of the east,” that part of Revelation 16:12 is more literally, “kings of the sunrise”:<\/p>\n

12 And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way might be prepared of the kings of the rising of the sun. (Revelation 16:12, Berean Literal Bible)<\/p>\n

Taiwan is even further east, an earlier ‘sunrise’ location, than China.<\/p>\n

Plus, China is clear that it wants Taiwan.<\/p>\n

China could decide now to impose a naval blockade or take stronger military steps after Donald Trump is out of office.<\/p>\n

China may figure that the USA does not really want a war with it and may take steps to takeover Taiwan then.<\/p>\n

Or it could wait until after the USA is conquered (Daniel 11:39) when those in Taiwan would be more willing to attempt to make a deal with the People\u2019s Republic of China (PRC)–a deal that will make Taiwan formally part of the PRC.<\/p>\n

In the future, the Bible shows that massive army will gather. China and Taiwan would be expected to provide troops for the coming 200 million man army the Bible warns will form and be involved with Armageddon:<\/p>\n

13 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, \u201cRelease the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.\u201d 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million<\/strong>; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow<\/strong>; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed\u2013by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths (Revelation 9:13-18).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

China must be involved as only China, and possibly India and others in Asia (which seemingly will also align themselves with Russia against the European Empire per Jeremiah 50:41-42), is capable of fielding a two hundred million man army. Closer ties between the Asians, despite occasional setbacks, will result in the fulfillment of biblical prophecies.<\/p>\n

So, yes, there will be increased cooperation between Taiwan and China in the future.<\/p>\n

Chairman Mao allegedly boasted in the 1960s he could raise up an army of two hundred million men, and according to one source, he referenced that prophecy in Revelation.<\/p>\n

While Mao is gone, the population of China has risen since, making the raising of such an army even more feasible.<\/p>\n

Although Armageddon is at least seven years off, China\u2019s interest in Taiwan, its economic might, and its \u2018Silk Road\u2019 project are helping set the stage for it.<\/p>\n

Even though it has some hope in the USA, Taiwan will NOT be able to rely on the USA for anything at all, too many years from now, as we are getting closer to the end of the USA and the start of the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21-22; watch also Could the USA prophesied to be destroyed by the end of 2028?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Despite what Taiwan’s current leaders may say, Taiwan will align with the PRC.<\/p>\n

\n

China is trying to rise up and spread its influence. It is not pleased with interference from the USA or its British-descended allies–here are links to two items from earlier this year: Reuters: US, Canadian navies stage rare joint mission through Taiwan Strait<\/a> and War involving Taiwan Could Devastate Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The various conflicts between the USA and China have been tending to drain USA military resources away from Europe. This is making the USA weaker in Europe and has helped motivate the Europeans to strive to become more militarily independent from the USA.<\/p>\n

That is actually consistent with something that the old\u00a0Plain Truth<\/em>\u00a0magazine published back in 1984:<\/p>\n

Drifting Away from Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is a fact of immense importance, though recognized only faintly by most Americans, that culturally, economically \u2014 and soon strategically as well \u2014 the United States is drifting out of the Atlantic orbit.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

For years now there has been a perceptible shift in the United States away from its historic attachment to Europe into a much closer relationship with the nations of the Pacific basin.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe overwhelming European influence on our culture is on the wane and giving way to the Orient,\u201d Frederick Allen, Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. vice-president, commented in an interview published early in 1983.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Franc Viviano, an editor of Pacific News Service in San\u2019 Francisco, added that \u201conce the word \u2018immigration\u2019 was synonymous with the arrival of Europeans, and later with Latin Americans. Today two of every five newcomers to the United States are Asian.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cConsider the fact,\u201d added Mr. Viviano, in echoing Premier Zhao\u2019s remarks, \u201cthat in 1982-83, for the first time in history, overall U.S. trade with Pacific nations exceeded that with Atlantic nations, registering a record $121,200,000,000.\u201d
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

This shift toward the Pacific, in turn, plays a significant role in the rift now developing between the United States and its Western alliance allies in Europe.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur future lies in Asia\u201d is the recurring theme in some influential economic and political circles in the United States. This viewpoint is usually coupled with the call for the United States to eventually cut defense ties to Europe, to pull United States troops out of the Continent.\u00a0 \u2026<\/span>\u00a0then let the Europeans either defend themselves or make their own security arrangements with the Soviet Union.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n
