A colossal interstellar space rock that was originally known as \u201cA11pl3Z\u201d but has since been given the designation \u201c3I\/ATLAS\u201d will be making a very alarming run through our solar system in September and October. \u00a0Based on their initial observations, scientists estimated that 3I\/ATLAS has a diameter of approximately 20 kilometers, and that would make it larger than Manhattan. \u00a0But now scientists are telling us that it is probably at most 5.6 kilometers wide. \u00a0Even if it is only about 5 kilometers wide, we are still talking about an extinction-level event if it were to hit us. \u00a0Over the next couple of months, 3I\/ATLAS will be zipping through our solar system at a speed of about 130,000 miles per hour, and scientists assure us that the gravity of the sun cannot significantly alter the trajectory of anything moving that fast. \u00a0But what if they are wrong? …<\/p>\n

3I\/ATLAS is supposed to fly past Mars at a distance of just 0.19 AU on October 3rd.<\/p>\n

That is even closer than astronomers were originally projecting, and that is making some people nervous.<\/p>\n

I do believe that Wormwood will likely be a comet.<\/p>\n

But 3I\/ATLAS is not it. Wormwood, in the Bible, cannot hit for some time.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Over 1900 years ago, the Apostle John <\/a>was inspired to write about Wormwood and more in the Book of Revelation. If you look at the sequence of events that precede Wormwood, it is obvious to all that it cannot happen between now and next month. Notice that the first nine verses happen prior to Wormwood falling from heaven:<\/p>\n

1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel\u2019s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.<\/p>\n

6 So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.<\/p>\n

7 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.<\/p>\n

8 Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.<\/p>\n

10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. (Revelation 8:1-11)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that somehow Wormwood makes water bitter.<\/p>\n

This could be because it may be a comet. Comets tend to come with cyanogen gas\u2013when that mixes with water to form hydrogen cyanide, it has an almond odor and bitter taste.<\/p>\n

Yet, it should also be noted that there are MANY EVENTS that also have to take place before the above events as well. Because of that, it is biblically impossible for the Earth to be destroyed by something from space for years.<\/p>\n

Notice that Wormwood does not fall until after the third trumpet associated with the seventh seal of Revelation is blown. Well, this would mean that the fifth and sixth seal would also have already been opened\u2013which are mentioned in Revelation 6:7-17, and the 144,000 numbered as shown in Revelation 7. And I should add that the fifth seal of Revelation cannot possibly be opened for at least 3 1\/2 years from now (see When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?<\/a>), with over 4 years the likely minimum.<\/p>\n

Wormwood does exist\u2013but again Wormwood cannot hit for several years at the earliest. That does not mean that there cannot be any problems from meteorites, comets, asteroids, solar flares, etc. But it does mean that this age will not end for at least several years.<\/p>\n

Therefore, because there are many false and heretical leaders that lead people astray on prophecy, and sometimes they mention the Bible to try to act like God sanctions their nonsense, they should be denounced as false.<\/p>\n

All should REALLY pay attention to the Bible.<\/p>\n

We in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> “have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).”<\/p>\n

Thus, you can be certain that the upcoming comet will NOT destroy the Earth this Fall.<\/p>\n
