\u062c\u0627\u0645\u0639\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u062f\u0648\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0631\u0628\u064a\u0629 COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n James Malm is again wrong on his understanding of certain COG and prophetic matters.\u00a0 Here is some of what he posted related to the COGs today:<\/p>\n ALL of the major COG Groups have proclaimed that Islamic Extremism is taking over the Middle East; that the US and allies will be unable to defeat such Radical Extremism and that Islamic Extremism will coalesce into the King of the South; and will provoke and be destroyed by the New Europe…<\/p>\n They have all bought into this because of their misunderstanding of prophecy and their acceptance of the American “Endless war” propaganda; which is designed to make Americans willing to give up their liberties.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The above is in question on at least two points.\u00a0 First, while nearly all in the COGs believe Islam will be a unifying factor for the King of the South, we in the Living Church of God<\/a> (LCG) at least, have not declared “Islamic Extremism will coalesce into the King of the South” per se<\/em>.. (we do teach that the Islamic nations referred to in Psalm 83 will be part of the plan that will eliminated the USA, though we believe that European might will be the main factor per Daniel 11:39)\u00a0 And the second point is that we in the COGs did not get this from an “‘acceptance of the American “Endless war” propaganda.”\u00a0 This has been a belief for decades and is not a relatively new development.<\/p>\n Notice what was taught in 1979:<\/p>\n But who is the “king of the south”?…in verse 40 we skip to “the time of the end”…The verse undoubtedly found partial fulfillment in the offensive of 1896…But Mussolini did not finish the prophecy…Just as there is yet to be a final “king of the north”…there may very well emerge in the same manner a final “king of the south”–an overall leader of an Arab-Moslem confederation, possibly bearing the very title Mahdi<\/em><\/strong>…a prophetic psalm (Psalm 83) provides additional insight into the Mideast picture. Germany (Assyria<\/em> in Bible prophecy) and perhaps the rest of Europe will be in league in the future with a union of Arab nations…But in the end, this European-Arab alliance will prove short-lived…And the king of the north shall come against him [the king of the south]…Daniel 11:40-41…The Arab-Moslem Confederation will, of course, be thrown into chaotic disarray in the fact of invasion. <\/span>(Stump K. The Arab World in Prophecy. Plain Truth, December 1979, pp. 11-12).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n That essentially remains LCG’s position today as well as many of the COGs.\u00a0 Though we note that groups like the Muslim Brotherhood are attempting to cause such an Islamic confederation.<\/p>\n The reality is that we are getting closer for an Islamic confederation to form consistent with the biblical prophecies about the final King of the South (Daniel 11:40). However, somewhat like the final Beast\/King of the North power (Daniel 11:41-42), it looks like the Bible teaches that there will be some fragility and lack of total cohesiveness as the King of the South will apparently not be totally unified (cf. Daniel 11:42; 11:26). It would not surprise me if a group like the Muslim Brotherhood (who has significant support in Egypt) will make some type of deal with a Gulf-Arab union to support an Islamic confederation.<\/p>\n As Jesus said, “Watch” (Mark 13:37).<\/p>\n Jesus also said, “Blessed are<\/em> those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching.” (Luke 12:37).<\/p>\n Now, in his post today, James Malm continued with:<\/p>\n I have declared for almost five years that: Yes Islamic Extremism WILL BE DEFEATED and the Iranian regime WILL BE CHANGED!<\/p>\n That this, along\u00a0with a change in the present \u00a0Israeli governing coalition,\u00a0WILL set the conditions for a genuine dialogue for peace!\u00a0That when the final false prophet; who will be a Pope; is set up; he will call for a New Europe which is now waiting in the wings to burst forth!\u00a0 That this pope will go to the Holy place and peace will be declared as having been achieved at about the same time and within about 75 days of this pope being set up!\u00a0 That the tribulation WILL start at that time!<\/p>\n This work of warning is not a game or being done lightly…Will the regimes in Syria and Iran be changed? Will the final false prophet [the abomination] be set up in the Vatican and bring to life a New Europe?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n And the above is a little tricky to analyze as it is not clear, to me at this time, what is his definition of Islamic Extremism and not all of his points are wrong.\u00a0 It is true that there will some type of deal (Daniel 9:27), apparently involving a peace deal (cf. Daniel 8:25, 11:23-24), in the Middle East–and I suppose one could say that only non-Islamic Extremists could be involved in such a deal (though “Islamic Extremism” would still exist)–and such a peace deal could happen as early as the Fall of 2012.\u00a0 Also, I have been writing for some time, Syria could be involved as the Bible prophecies the destruction of its capital Damascus (Isaiah 17:1).\u00a0 Furthermore, we in LCG do believe that Iran will somehow be neutralized or at least will not be the main player as the King of the South.<\/p>\n Iran itself was discussed in the news today:<\/p>\n So, James Malm’s views on it may may be close to correct.<\/p>\n Yet, the Bible shows that the King of the South will be defeated by the King of the North (Daniel 11:40) and that happens after the Great Tribulation begins.\u00a0 And that will not be in 2012.<\/p>\n Now, I agree that prophetic analysis is not a game.\u00a0 But James Malm has incorrectly stated that he believes that the abomination days, etc. could happen in the Fall of 2012.\u00a0 In a 7\/28\/11 post titled Present Trends and Dating The Tribulation<\/em>, James Malm states:<\/p>\n There is a very high likelihood that the tribulation will begin late next year; with the abomination being set up on or near\u00a0 September 16th 2012 with the tribulation beginning on 30 Nov ~ 1 Dec time frame.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n I covered that at the time and disagreed (Despite James Malm, No the Great Tribulation CANNOT Begin in 2012<\/a>).\u00a0 James Malm is in error on this and will be shown to be wrong on that point in less than one year.<\/p>\n We in the COGs have tended to teach that an Arabic-Islamic confederation would rise up to be led by the coming King of the South of Bible prophecy (Daniel 11:40).\u00a0 The events of the past year, and not “American propoganda,” have validated this position as it is clear that many followers of Islam in the Middle East and North Africa want to establish an Islamic confederation known as a caliphate.<\/p>\n The then likely Prime Minister of Tunisia even declared that it began several weeks ago (see Tunisia\u2019s Expected Prime Minister Claims to be part of the Sixth Caliphate)<\/a>.<\/p>\n World events are aligning with the understanding of end time prophecy that we in the Living Church of God hold.\u00a0 And while James Malm will likely get a few of the pieces correct, in general, his approach contains error and those that rely on him will again be disappointed.<\/p>\n UPDATE: 12\/30\/11 In a post inaccurately titled The King of the South clearly revealed!<\/em> and dated 12\/30\/11, James Malm had the following:<\/p>\n the scriptures tell us clearly that the Islamic nations will be allied with Assure [Assyria, Germany[ the dominant nation of the Babylonian Kingdom of the North.\u00a0 These Islamic nations are NOT against\u00a0the North;\u00a0but allied with the North!…<\/p>\n In fact the King of the South comprised the modern nations of Egypt, Libya Ethiopia\u00a0and Israel and they are the modern\u00a0nations being referred to as the King of the South in scripture…<\/p>\n My friends, I have tried to explain the the King of the South is Israel AND Egypt many times…<\/p>\n The King of the South is the modern nations of Egypt, Israel, Libya and Ethiopia!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n This is incomplete and in error.\u00a0 That post is typical of James Malm’s current track record on matters prophetic.\u00a0 For details about “Ethiopia” and more, please see the article Is There A Future King of the South?<\/a><\/p>\n Some articles of possibly related interest may include:<\/em><\/p>\n The Arab World In the Bible, History, and Prophecy<\/a> The Bible discusses the origins of the Arab world and discusses the Middle East in prophecy.
