On Monday, Macron’s government failed to survive a “no-confidence” vote as the country spiraled into crisis. What’s most worrying for Macron is that the vote wasn’t even close. Prime Minister\u00a0Fran\u00e7ois Bayrou<\/a>\u00a0was dumped overwhelmingly in a 364-194 vote. At issue: Bayrou’s sensible but unpopular notion that France had to cut spending to address a growing debt crisis.<\/p>\n

“Sensible” and “socialism” don’t ordinarily go hand in hand. <\/strong>Thus, in office only since December, Bayrou was given an unceremonious heave-ho.<\/p>\n

Macron turned to an old ally to replace Bayrou. He named departing defense minister S\u00e9bastien Lecornu to be the fourth prime minister of Macron’s government this year. …<\/p>\n

Protesters set fires as they blocked highways and gas stations across\u00a0France<\/a>\u00a0early Wednesday as part of a new nationwide movement. Authorities deployed 80,000 police, who made hundreds of arrests and fired tear gas to disperse crowds.<\/p>\n

The “Block Everything” movement was born online over the summer in far-right circles, but spread on social media and was co-opted by left-wing, antifascist and anarchist groups. It now includes France\u2019s far-left parties and the country\u2019s powerful labor unions.<\/p>\n

Their joint day of unrest adds to the country\u2019s political turmoil, after the collapse of centrist President Emmanuel Macron\u2019s government earlier this week in a similar backlash over proposed budget cuts and broader anger at the political class.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However bad social relations in the United States now are, they are at least an order of magnitude worse on the other side of the Atlantic.\u00a0\u00a0European self-hatred is dissolving traditional cultural bonds.\u00a0\u00a0Mass immigration is compounding age-old rivalries.<\/p>\n

In the eighty years since the project for European integration began in earnest, those latent contradictions have transformed Europe into a tinderbox with even greater potential energy for self-destruction than existed before WWI and II.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0While the bureaucratic ruling class has actively repressed the historic identities of native Europeans, it has flooded the continent with foreigners who are encouraged to retain their own cultural identities.\u00a0\u00a0In this way, a Hungarian or Pole or Dane who celebrates his country\u2019s unique heritage is denounced as a \u201cfar-right nationalist,\u201d while a Frenchman who insists that African and Middle Eastern immigrants assimilate to the European way of life is denounced as a \u201cracist\u201d and \u201cbigot.\u201d<\/p>\n

This anti-European monstrosity was created deliberately.\u00a0\u00a0Simultaneous suppression of Europeans\u2019 national identities and protections for foreign nationals create a kind of \u201cmulticulturalism dynamo\u201d that converts Europeans into something alien.\u00a0\u00a0Stripped of their native religion, culture, and historic customs and forced to praise foreign religions, cultures, and customs taking hold in the West\u2019s civilizational void, Europeans are effectively assimilated within their own lands.\u00a0 Europeans are taught to despise their own civilization and to bow down before those who seek to replicate a foreign civilization inside Europe.\u00a0\u00a0Europe\u2019s bureaucratic ruling class uses foreigners to beat the Europeanness out of Europeans. …<\/p>\n

Is Civil War Coming to Europe?<\/h2>\n

Spending a week in France last month, I recalled the scandalous open letter that 20 retired French generals and 1,000 active duty service members released<\/a> in 2021, warning that their country was headed to civil war unless the government acted firmly against Islamic radicals in the suburbs, and turned away from divisive policies driven by so-called \u201canti-racism.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a number of private conversations with ordinary French people\u2014this was before the Le Pen verdict\u2014I brought up the Betz interview (none had heard about it), and asked them if they foresaw civil war coming to France. Nearly all of them said yes. They said so with an unnerving sense of calm, as if they accepted it as a matter of course. When I complimented one couple on their country, and told them that one day I would like to live in France, they responded in unison, \u201cNo!\u201d Stay in Hungary, they said; you\u2019ll be safe there.<\/p>\n

You would never know from the mainstream media that this sort of sentiment is bubbling among the population of Europe and the UK. In his interview with Perry, Betz says that many people suffer from what he calls \u201cnormalcy bias\u201d\u2014that is, the belief that such a thing cannot happen here. J.D. Vance angered many European elites in his Munich speech when he warned them that the greatest security threats their countries face are within\u2014and that their attempt to deny them by squelching free speech was only making matters worse. This\u2014the danger not of war with other nations, but of civil war\u2014is precisely what he was talking about. …<\/p>\n

If Betz is right about the likelihood that civil war in one European country would likely set it off in others, that question might be in vain. Well, yes, civil unrest, and probably civil wars, will break out in Europe. But, while politicians have been helping set the stage for this, issues with Muslim immigrants will be a factor.<\/p>\n

Right now, many in the European Parliament are looking changing the top leader of the European Union.<\/p>\n

The Left launches no-confidence motion against European Commission<\/h2>\n

The group has collected enough signatures, with the help of some Greens and non-attached MEPs. Von der Leyen now faces two confidence votes in October.<\/h3>\n

The European Parliament’s Left group launched its own no-confidence motion against the European Commission on Thursday in parallel to one put forward<\/strong><\/a> on Wednesday by the far-right Patriots for Europe group. …<\/p>\n

The motion of censure is designed to trigger the resignation of the College of Commissioners and focuses on two key beefs with the executive: the trade strategy of the European Commission and its position on the war in Gaza.<\/p>\n

The Left deems the recent EU-US trade deal \u201cprejudicial, asymmetrical, non reciprocal\u201d and \u201cundertaken without a democratic mandate\u201d. The EU-Mercosur deal is also heavily criticised by the leftist group.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a tendency within the European Commission to push things through by force. The [trade] agreement with the United States, which will literally reduce the EU to a Donald Trump vassal. Or the free trade agreement with Mercosur, which will only kill European agriculture,\u201d Manon Aubry, co-president of the Left group, told Euronews on Thursday. …<\/p>\n

The motion of censure also condemns \u201cthe Commission\u2019s failure to address both the climate and the social crisis across Europe\u201d. For all these reasons, the signing MEPs conclude that Ursula von der Leyen and her commissioners should resign. …<\/p>\n

Will the Left and far-right support each other\u2019s motions?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At least two-thirds of votes cast, representing a majority of all MEPs, are needed for a motion of confidence to pass and forcing the resignation of the Commission.<\/p>\n

This high threshold makes any motion of censure unlikely to succeed. In July, the European Parliament rejected a motion tabled by some Conservative MEPs, with 175 MEPs in favour, 360 against, and 18 abstentions. …<\/p>\n

While Ursula von der Leyen may survive this again, the reality is that there are many issues affecting Europe, including policies from US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Eventually, Europe will reach a breaking point and change. Many Europeans want major change now.<\/p>\n

Europe will one day support a dictatorial strongman. The Bible calls him the Beast of the Sea (Revelation 13:1-10) and the King of the North (Daniel 11:40).<\/p>\n

Sometime after various crises and troubles during the \u201cbeginning of sorrows\u201d (Mark 13:5-8), a particular leader will arise.\u00a0 Notice some of what Daniel was inspired to write:<\/p>\n

So this leader gives people the impression that there will be \u201cpeace.\u201d<\/p>\n

In troubled times, strong leaders promising peace tend to gain support.<\/p>\n

After two prophesied reorganizations in Europe, a strong leader will emerge:<\/p>\n

12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast<\/strong>. (Revelation 17:12-13, NKJV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The final European Beast leader, who is also known as the final King of the North<\/a>, will ultimately promote his religion (Daniel 11:36-38; which will not be Islam, he will at first feign and claim a form of Roman Catholicism). He will make a deceptive deal with the leader of a confederation of peoples in North Africa and the Middle East (cf. Daniel 11:27; Psalm 83:3-8).<\/p>\n

That leader will NOT be the politically weakened Ursula von der Leyen.<\/p>\n
