Recent rounds of preliminary voting in Egypt show that the Muslim Brotherhood has a firm grip on Egypt’s political future. They may call what’s transpiring there \u201cdemocracy\u201d but its not pretty, and it will get worse. It’s just been reported that Egyptian authorities have raided some 17 \u201chumanitarian\u201d and foreign aid organizations, at least three of which are American. Do you suppose that the current administration or our State Department are having second thoughts about their earlier encouragement of \u201cdemocracy protests\u201d? Or maybe the raids stem from the recent news that future U.S. foreign aid will depend on foreign governments supporting gay and lesbian aspirations. Don’t tell me you missed that! Hard to say who it will hurt the most, I’m guessing the U.S.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to a news item, while the raids have been mainly stopped, Egypt still has issues with the offices of certain Western-based organizations reopening:<\/p>\n

U.S. Ambassador Anne Patterson \u201csought and received Egyptian leadership assurances that the raids will cease and property will be returned immediately,\u201d said a statement by a senior administration official who asked to be identified as such.<\/p>\n

Yet officials acknowledged that the groups\u2019 activities will remain suspended indefinitely, including their participation in observing the round of parliamentary elections that is scheduled for next week.<\/p>\n

Egyptian activists and U.S. officials reacted with outrage when authorities seized laptops, cellphones, other equipment and cash from the Egyptian offices of at least 17 nongovernmental groups. Among them were three U.S.-based groups: the National Democratic Institute, Freedom House, and International Republican Institute. Some believe that it is the new pro-homosexual policies in the USA that are behind the protests. Many do not like the homosexual agenda:<\/p>\n

Of course, this new USA policy was covered by the Living Church of God<\/a> and COGwriter a three weeks ago (see TW: US Foreign Aid for Homosexual Agenda<\/a>) and should also upset those who profess to believe in Christianity.<\/p>\n

The Bible does not support the type of homosexual rights agenda that the USA is telling the world to adopt.\u00a0 The backlash from the Islamic world may be a factor in many of them getting together to destroy the USA and Israel per Psalm 83:3-8 (see also Is There A Future King of the South?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Of course, there were other societies that have had their own issues of openly advocating sins that their residents seemed to view as acceptable. Notice what happened in a couple of such towns between three thousand and four thousand years ago:<\/p>\n

24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. (Genesis 19:24-25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And why did it happen?<\/p>\n

7 as Sodom and Gomorrah<\/strong>, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example<\/strong>, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Why mention this in the 21st century? Because God turned:<\/p>\n

6\u2026the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes<\/strong>, condemned them to destruction, making them an example<\/strong> to those who afterward would live ungodly (2 Peter 2:6,
\nNKJV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thus, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah were to serve as an example to those who would live as they did. The USA, which has lots of Bibles, should know this–but refuses to wish to truly retain God in its knowledge.\u00a0 Instead, it actively wants to use money to bribe other nations to push a pro-homosexual agenda.<\/p>\n

Yet, people wonder why God will punish the USA first.\u00a0 The USA needs national repentance now for it will be punished if it refuses to repent:<\/p>\n

5…But the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to repent (Hosea 11:5b).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Keeping the Ten Commandments reflects love. Breaking them and\/or condoning those that do is evil. This should be clear to those who believe the God of the Bible.\u00a0 And it should be more than those that profess Islam that should be concerned.<\/p>\n
