While many have warned that Islam will takeover Europe, over the past several years European nations such as Switzerland, France, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands have banned burqas and\/or other Islamic garb.<\/p>\n

Now Sweden is looking into that:<\/p>\n

Sweden\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch has called for a nationwide ban on burqas and niqabs in all public places, saying\u00a0the country must \u201cwake up from its naivety\u201d about Islamism and act decisively to protect Swedish values and social cohesion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Christian Democrats (KD) leader told\u00a0Aftonbladet<\/a>\u00a0that she wants legislation prohibiting the full-face coverings in streets, squares, shops, healthcare facilities, and other public settings \u2014 a step beyond previous local attempts to ban them in schools and public workplaces that were struck down under current law.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou should be able to meet for real if you are on the street, if you are shopping in the square, or taking the children to the health center. Then I don\u2019t want to meet someone who has covered their entire face,\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Busch said.<\/p>\n

She argued that the niqab and burqa are symbols of strict interpretations of Islam seen in totalitarian states, which she described as incompatible with Swedish society.<\/p>\n

\u201cIslam must adapt in Sweden. You can be a proud Swedish Muslim, Christian, Jew, or atheist, but there are fundamental Swedish values that must apply to us all,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>she said.<\/p>\n

Asked to clarify whether her proposal would amount to a ban on wearing the garments outside the home, Busch replied: \u201cYes, that\u2019s it. We don\u2019t want to see burqas and niqabs out in Swedish public. Then we can\u2019t control, and shouldn\u2019t control, what people do at home. Muslims obviously do not care for these threats and the other bans. But many in Europe feel that these bans will reduce Islamic encroachment of their culture.<\/p>\n

Another concern is that the Swedish government, like various other governments, believes that religion should conform to its values. That does not bode well for true Christianity in Sweden in the future.<\/p>\n

Now, related to burqas, many people do not realize is that in places like Turkey young women are PAID by Islamic groups, based outside the country, to actually wear the burqa. And thus, many poorer young women wear the burqa there as a source of income. So while certain Muslims are trying to increase control and influence by doing that, many in Europe and elsewhere have realized that these signs of Muslim influence are not what their countries should put up with.<\/p>\n

As far as the Muslims in Europe go, notice some items I posted about this for over a decade and a half:<\/p>\n

The reality is that the Muslims will force Europe to wake-up and re-establish themselves. Historically, when Europe has been strongly opposed to Islam it has had greater ties to the Vatican.<\/p>\n

The reality is that the Muslims will be a major factor to get Europe to wake-up and re-establish itself. Historically, when Europe has been strongly opposed to Islam it has had greater ties to the Vatican.<\/p>\n

A divide between Islam and the nominally-Christian Europe is going to become more and more real. Though there will be apparent cooperation (cf. Psalm 83; Daniel 11:27), the two will turn against each other (Daniel 11:40-43). (Thiel B. France Begins Burqa Ban<\/a>. COGwriter, April 11, 2011)<\/p>\n

Yet, there are changes happening in Europe. And according to the Bible, more economic (Revelation 13: 14-17) and political ones must come to pass (Revelation 17:12-13). A currency change from the Euro is a possible, but not biblically-required, change.<\/p>\n

As far as the anti-Islamists go, the Bible shows that a European military leader will line up with a religious leader from the city of seven hills (Revelation 17) and ultimately defeat the forces of Islam (Daniel 11:40-43), despite having earlier made one of more deals with the Islamists (cf. Psalm 83:3-8; Daniel 9:27; Daniel 11:27).<\/p>\n

Irrespective of one or more temporary political deals with those of the Islamic faith, the anti-Islamic sentiment that Geert Wilders and others have tapped into in Europe is real. And according to the Bible, it will be resolved in ways differently than Geert Wilders and others like him publicly state (Daniel 11:40-42). (Thiel B. Will the refugee problem break apart Europe?<\/p>\n

Well, it is likely to be a factor that will result in the UK splitting from the continental Europeans.<\/p>\n

But what about the continental Europeans, will they split up or unite closer?<\/p>\n

Well, although the Bible states that they will have unification problems (Daniel 2:41-43), it also shows that they will reorganize and put in a dictator, the Beast of Revelation (Revelation 17:12-13; see also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?<\/a>). A Europe will arise with a powerful militaristic leader (Revelation 13:4; see also Europa, the Beast, and Revelation<\/a>) who will enter with peaceful sounding words (Daniel 8:25; 9:27; 11:21-24; see also The \u2018Peace Deal\u2019 of Daniel 9:27<\/a>), yet he will be the prophesied King of the North<\/a>. …<\/p>\n

Although there is a pontiff who currently is endorsing the acceptance of these migrants into Europe (see Pope Francis tells tens of thousands of European Catholic facilities to accept one migrant family per church\/monastery<\/a>), expect changes to come.<\/p>\n

Islamic migrants into Europe will cause problems, but ultimately will result in a dictator rising up in Europe.<\/p>\n

Not only will that not end up well for Islam (Daniel 11:40-43; see also Is the Future King of the South Rising Up?<\/a>), it will also not end up well for the UK or the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also the article Anglo \u2013 America in Prophecy<\/a>). A divide between Islam and the nominally-Christian Europe is going to become more and more real.<\/p>\n

The call for a burqa ban in Germany, as well as saying no to sharia, plus the reactions to Islamic terrorism should be making this clearer to those who will watch as Jesus said in Mark 13:33-37. Europe is starting to get fed-up with Islam. As the Austrian vote and other events show (see also Germany\u2019s Merkel want to ban the burqa and not tolerate any version of sharia<\/a> and Switzerland Votes to Ban Minarets<\/a>), Europe is taking steps to try to deal with Islam\u2013and it is not finished. (Thiel B. Austria moving ahead on its burqa ban\u2013will there be war between the Arabs and the Europeans?<\/a> COGwriter, May 17, 2017)<\/p>\n

Islamic issues will be a factor in the rise of this Beast leader\u2013the Bible shows that a European Beast<\/a> leader will, after destroying the USA (Daniel 11:39), push against and overwhelm a power from the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43).<\/p>\n

It should be noted that this Beast leader is NOT Russian (see also Is Russia the King of the North?<\/a>). Despite claims from Protestant<\/a> Joel Richardson, this Beast leader is NOT Islamic (see also Is There an Islamic Antichrist?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Notice a Catholic prophecy:<\/p>\n

What kind of a dance?<\/p>\n

One that will impact Muslims.<\/p>\n

Catholic writings tell of a time when a European ruler will push Islam out of Europe:<\/p>\n

St. Francis de Paul<\/em> (1470):\u2026From your lordship shall be born the great leader of the holy militia\u2026the Great Monarch\u2026He shall be a great captain and prince of holy men, who shall be called \u2018the holy Cross-bearers of Jesus Christ,\u2019 with whom he will destroy the Mahometan sect and the rest of the infidels\u2026He shall be the great founder of a new religious order different from all the others<\/strong>\u2026This shall be the last religious order in the Church and shall do more good for our holy religion than all other religious institutes. Jean Paul Richter<\/em> (d. 1809): Through a terrible purgatory Europe will return to the faith (Culleton, p. 182).<\/p>\n

Brother Louis Rocco<\/em> (19th century): All over Europe there will rage terrible civil wars\u2026The German sections of Austria will join Germany, so will also the commercial cities of Belgium and Switzerland. A Catholic descendant of a German imperial house will rule a united Germany with peace, prosperity and great power, for God will be with this sovereign (the Great Monarch?)\u2026A Great Monarch will arise after a period of terrible wars and persecutions in Europe. He will be a Catholic; he will not be a German (Culleton, p. 195).<\/p>\n

Blessed Joannes Amadeus de Sylva<\/em> (died 1482): Germany and Spain will unite under a great prince\u2026After much slaughtering, the other nations will be forced to come into this union. There is no hope for the unbelievers until all of Germany is converted; then all will happen quickly\u2026the time will be prolonged until all countries unite under the Great Ruler. After this union, mass conversions will take place\u2026 (Connor, Prophecy for Today, p. 34).<\/p>\n

Catholic Priest and saint John Bosco<\/em> (19th century): War will come from the south, peace from the north. \u2026 But behold, a great warrior from the north appears, a banner in his right hand, his arm bearing this inscription: \u2018Irresistible is the hand of the Lord.\u2019 At that moment the Venerable Old Man of Rome went forward to meet him, wielding a flaming torch. The banner then grew larger and its blackness became white as snow; in its center stood out the name of the Almighty in golden letter. Pseudo-Methodius<\/em> (7th century): This new Muslim invasion will be a punishment without limit and mercy\u2026In France, people of Christians will fight and kill them\u2026At that same time the Muslims will be killed and they will know the tribulation\u2026The Lord will give them to the powers of the Christians whose empire will be elevated above all empires\u2026The Roman King (Great Monarch) will show a great indignation against those who will have denied Christ in Egypt or in Arabia (Araujo, Fabio R. Selected Prophecies and Prophets. BookSurge LLC, Charlestown (SC), 2007, p. 103).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The \u2018Great Monarch<\/a><\/span>\u2019 that is spoken of above is quite similar to the final King of the North<\/a> that the Bible warns against. Both Catholic and biblical prophecy teach that this leader will be a European, probably at least partially of German heritage and he will fight those of the Arab\/Muslim lands. As the 21st century proceeds, do not be surprised that Islam will be pushed out of Europe to a major degree (Daniel 11:36-38; Revelation 13:4,8,11-17). Although we will continue to hear some outward statements of acceptance of Islam in Europe, the reality is that Islam will one day be pushed out. (Thiel B. Swiss approve \u2018burqa ban.\u2019 Islam will be pushed out of Europe.<\/a> COGwriter, March 8, 2021)<\/p>\n

Now France has a ban in place against abayas, which also are typically worn by Muslim women. …<\/p>\n

Historically, when Europe takes steps against Islam, it also tends to take steps to be closer to the Church of Rome. In the past, I wrote that I felt this type of ban would be extended\u2013and the French move is another confirmation of that. …<\/p>\n

The AfD says Islam is not German and that there should be less Islamic immigrants allowed in the country. …<\/p>\n

Europe will change and the AfD will get several of its wants\u2013much of Islam will be pushed out of Europe. (Thiel B. First they banned burqas, now abayas and the AfD is making gains\u2013change is going to happen in Europe<\/a>. COGwriter, September 5, 2023)<\/p>\n

While there has long been a desire in Germany to reduce the non-German population, particularly those with ties to Islam, it may be that Friday night\u2019s attack is the wake-up call for more to push stronger for pushing out Islamic migrants.<\/p>\n

As long time readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I have long stated that Europe would push out migrants, particularly Islamic ones.<\/p>\n

So, what will happen?<\/p>\n

What does prophecy show for the future between Europe and Islam?<\/p>\n

I believe that it shows that the Vatican will promote a temporal deal with Islam and Europe (Daniel 9:27; 11:27; see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27<\/a>), but that ultimately, Europe will essentially push Islam out and even attack certain Arab lands:<\/p>\n

40<\/sup> ‘When the time comes for the End, the king of the south will try conclusions with him; but the king of the north will come storming down on him with chariots, cavalry, and a large fleet. He will invade countries, overrun them and drive on.<\/p>\n

41<\/sup> He will invade the Land of Splendour, and many will fall; but Edom, Moab, and what remains of the sons of Ammon will escape him.<\/p>\n

42<\/sup> ‘He will reach out to attack countries: Egypt will not escape him.<\/p>\n
