An industrial ghost?<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>3 November 2025<\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\">The ambition, announced at the beginning of the year by Chancellor Friedrich Merz, is one that won&#8217;t go unnoticed: to make the Bundeswehr &#8220;the strongest conventional army in Europe.&#8221; With the recent debt brake reform that has effectively opened the defense purse strings, the goal appears to be supported by an iron political (and financial) will.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\">The Great Return: The Tomahawk.<\/span><\/span><\/b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\"> Germany plans to purchase as many as 400 <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/www.rtx.com\/raytheon\/what-we-do\/sea\/tomahawk-cruise-missile\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\">Tomahawk Block Vb<\/span><\/a><\/b><\/span><b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\"> cruise missiles<\/span><\/span><\/b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\"> for approximately <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/germany-military-wish-list-defense-politics-budget-domestic-industry\/\"><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\">\u20ac1.15 billion<\/span><\/span><\/a><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\"> . These missiles will go not only to the Navy, to equip frigates (probably F123 and F124) while awaiting the future &#8221; <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Super_Sonic_Strike_Missile_(3SM)_Tyrfing\"><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\">Tyrfing<\/span><\/span><\/a><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\"> &#8221; missile (under development with Norway, expected no earlier than the mid-2030s), but also to land-based missiles. The purchase of three batteries of <\/span><\/span><b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\">Typhon land-based launchers<\/span><\/span><\/b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\"> (similar to those used in the US) is planned, capable of launching both Tomahawk and other missiles.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 &#8230;<\/li>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Taurus_KEPD_350\"><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\">Taurus Neo<\/span><\/span><\/a><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\"> :<\/span><\/span><\/b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\"> 600 missiles are planned, successors to the KEPD 350. However, there&#8217;s a snag here too: the engine. The current one is made in the USA, and it seems the German-Swedish joint venture is struggling with Japanese company Kawasaki to find a replacement, highlighting a significant industrial dependence. &#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/AGM-158_JASSM\"><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\">AGM-158B JASSM-ER<\/span><\/span><\/a><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\"> :<\/span><\/span><\/b><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\"> Purchase of 75 units has already been approved. A stealth cruise missile with a declared range of 1,000 km, designed to penetrate advanced air defenses.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/www.kongsberg.com\/kda\/what-we-do\/defence-and-security\/missile-systems\/joint-strike-missile-jsm\/\"><span dir=\"auto\">Joint Strike Missile (JSM)<\/span><\/a><span dir=\"auto\"> :<\/span><\/b><span dir=\"auto\"> Ordered in June, these missiles (developed by Norway and the US) are specifically designed to fit in the F-35&#8217;s internal cargo bay, allowing it to strike ground and naval targets without compromising its radar invisibility. &#8230;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\" dir=\"auto\">While Germany&#8217;s 2035 arsenal seems formidable on paper, the reality is that the &#8220;strongest Bundeswehr in Europe&#8221; is currently a long-term project.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, Germany is also taking other steps. (p. 88)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Bible teaches about a great power who will be destroyed by its friends, who become enemies (Lamentations 1:1-2)\u2014some statements by Donald Trump are pushing \u201cfriends\u201d (NATO allies) into being enemies. (pp. 48-49)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>By focusing too much on threats from China and almost always considering the Europeans as some type of allies, a Donald Trump Administration is currently not expected to reverse the Asian \u2018pivot\u2019 strategy (p. 63).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Europe to Rise<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>How can Europe rise up?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Technology appears to be the key to a powerful European military. One aspect could include particle collider research. The number of colliders in the USA dwindled down to one under the Obama and Bush Administrations<a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a> and the one that is left, \u201cpales next to Europe\u2019s Large Hadron Collider.\u201d<a href=\"#_edn2\" name=\"_ednref2\">[ii]<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Large Hadron collider has been producing antimatter for years and in 2024 discovered the antimatter particle, antihyperhelium-4, which is the heaviest form of antimatter thus far found.<a href=\"#_edn3\" name=\"_ednref3\">[iii]<\/a> Antimatter has destructive properties, and the Europeans look to be the leaders in working with it.<a href=\"#_edn4\" name=\"_ednref4\">[iv]<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Europe has the leading collider in the world, CERN\u2019s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and Germany is working on a possibly even more advanced one called FAIR (F.A.I.R. stands for the <strong>F<\/strong>acility for <strong>A<\/strong>ntiproton and <strong>I<\/strong>on <strong>R<\/strong>esearch) which expects to start operations in 2027\/2028.<a href=\"#_edn5\" name=\"_ednref5\">[v]<\/a> 3000 scientists are reportedly involved with FAIR.<a href=\"#_edn6\" name=\"_ednref6\">[vi]<\/a> PESCO is involved in numerous military technological projects.<a href=\"#_edn7\" name=\"_ednref7\">[vii]<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It looks like Germany\u2019s FAIR, along with the LHC and other technology like the stellarator, will help the Europeans produce military weaponry to fulfill certain end-time prophecies. Since Revelation 13:4 is discussing what seems to be a unique type of warfare, this warfare likely includes certain high-tech weapons (such as electromagnetic pulse, neutron bombs, unique delivery systems, etc.) that will be effective for a while. The FAIR and the LHC projects are also likely to spin-off economic benefits that may help propel Europe to be (for a short while) the economic leader of the world (cf. Revelation 18). Ultimately, the Europeans will be overcome by what appears to be a Russian-led, mainly Asian, confederation, cf. Jeremiah 50:41-43 &amp; Daniel 11:44, possibly by exploiting some technological flaw, like creating a software virus, etc., while also amassing troops, etc.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The European Space Agency and other European programs related to technology like Horizon Europe are expected to bear fruit to the economic and military power of Europe shortly. European Council, https:\/\/research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu\/funding\/funding-opportunities\/funding-programmes-and-open-calls\/horizon-europe_en accessed 11\/11\/24<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><em>Many in the USA do not seem to realize that once Europeans are spending more for their militaries, they will also expect to have more independence from the USA as to how military might will be used. <\/em>(p. 63). <em>Although, overall, the European nations have not paid for their defense to the amount they have suggested they would, pressuring them to spend more will 1) encourage them to be independent of the USA<\/em> (p. 213).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Consider that on 25 February 2025, Germany\u2019s <span dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"\" dir=\"auto\">Friedrich Merz<\/span><\/span> called for military independence from the United States (<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/germany-move-independence-us-new-leader\/story?id=119115938\">https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/germany-move-independence-us-new-leader\/story?id=119115938<\/a>). On 25 June 2025, others in the EU pushed for military independence from the USA (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/eu-pushes-for-independent-defense-amid-nato-strain\/video-73032325\">https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/eu-pushes-for-independent-defense-amid-nato-strain\/video-73032325<\/a>). Technology will be a factor&#8211;and more in Europe are starting to realize that.<\/p>\n<p>Much has happened related to the Trump Administration.<\/p>\n<p>While there have been many positives, there also have been, and will be, many unintended consequences of it.<\/p>\n<p>Could Donald Trump, various fears, pandemics, migrants, economic issues, or other &#8216;crises&#8217; lead to a &#8216;fourth reich&#8217; in Germany?<\/p>\n<p>Notice something about Germany&#8217;s history published decades ago by the old Worldwide Church of God:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"font_text\">In 1933 Adolf Hitler, using Germany&#8217;s growing economic crisis as a stepping-stone to power, gained control of Germany, inaugurating the Third Reich of German history.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">It quickly became clear that Hitler&#8217;s geopolitical aims far transcended his own country&#8217;s borders. Hitler held an unshakable conviction that his German Reich would one day rule all of Europe \u2014 and from there seize the leadership of the world! He dreamed of a &#8220;new world order&#8221; that would remake the political face of the earth, with himself at its helm.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font_text\">In 1939 Hitler began in earnest his struggle for the mastery of the world. Good News, 1985)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Adolf Hitler used an economic crisis to rise up and form his so-called third reich.<\/p>\n<p>Could there be some type of a &#8216;fourth reich&#8217; this century to follow the &#8216;third reich&#8217; of last century?<\/p>\n<p>The old Radio Church of God thought so, even decades earlier:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"font_text\">The &#8220;German Problem&#8221; is not dead. Germans are thinking more than ever of an undivided Reich &#8211; and of an undivided Europe! &#8230; On the 17th of June, Germans celebrated a national holiday a day dedicated to AN UNDIVIDED GERMANY. Stores closed. No one worked. The striking thing is that this day signifies something that has not happened yet! Most holidays commemorate an event &#8211; something that has already taken place. Not this one &#8211; it looks forward to an event which all Germans hope for and even pray for &#8211; AN UNDIVIDED GERMANY! (Kelly R. The March for an Undivided Germany. Plain Truth, September 1964)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, since that came out, East and West Germany united, the European Union formed, and a European currency has been implemented.<\/p>\n<p>So, is a &#8216;fourth reich&#8217; in the process of forming? Some in Germany and elsewhere seem to think so. We continue to see Germany taking military steps.<\/p>\n<p>Now this does not mean that everyone in Germany wants it to militarily dominate the world, but Bible prophecy shows that deep down, those there do want to dominate.<\/p>\n<p>Notice the following prophecy:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>5 \u201cWoe to Assyria, the rod of My anger<br \/>\nAnd the staff in whose hand is My indignation.<br \/>\n6 I will send him against an ungodly nation,<br \/>\nAnd against the people of My wrath<br \/>\nI will give him charge,<br \/>\nTo seize the spoil, to take the prey,<br \/>\nAnd to tread them down like the mire of the streets.<br \/>\n7 <strong>Yet he does not mean so,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Nor does his heart think so;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> But it is in his heart to destroy,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> And cut off not a few nations<\/strong>.<br \/>\n8 For he says,<br \/>\n\u2018Are not my princes altogether kings? (Isaiah 10:6-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Notice that the leader of the final empire will not think that he wants to destroy nations, but he really does, and really will.<\/p>\n<p>Notice that Isaiah tells of a time when the end time Assyrian power will be sent against an ungodly nation (NKJV), translated as &#8220;an hypocritical nation\u201d in the KJV. The Hebrew word used signifies being \u201csoiled\u201d or impious, and certainly that is now the case for the nation known as the United States.<\/p>\n<p>What exactly is the &#8216;fourth reich&#8217;? Notice one interpretation:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The <strong>Fourth Reich<\/strong> (German: <em>Viertes Reich<\/em>) is a theoretical future German empire, following the First Reich (the Holy Roman Empire, 962\u20131806), the Second Reich (Imperial Germany, 1871\u20131918) and the Third Reich (Nazi Germany, 1933\u20131945). This new world order, which will have German dominance, will in a sense be its fourth militaristic reich (reich means reign).<\/p>\n<p>The Bible prophesies that Europe will have a \u201cgreat army\u201d (Daniel 11:25), various weapons, and &#8220;many ships&#8221; (Daniel 11:40).<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s chancellor, yesterday, basically said that Germany would work to get both.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, technology will, in my view, be key in the establishment of a militaristic fourth reich, consistent with scriptures such as Revelation 13:4. Germany will be a major factor in this although there will be problems in Europe (Daniel 2:41-43).
