Well, for one, the EU is making trade deals all over the world as more nations are contacting it to do so because of US tariffs and tariff threats.<\/p>\n

Daniel 11 … 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god<\/strong>, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u201che\u201d is the King of the North. The two Hebrew words translated as \u201cthe strongest fortresses\u201d in verse 39 do not appear together anywhere else in the Bible.<\/p>\n

Something is, thus, unique here. Notice another translation which is similar:<\/p>\n

39<\/sup> Claiming this foreign god\u2019s help, he will attack the strongest fortresses. He will honor those who submit to him, appointing them to positions of authority and dividing the land among them as their reward. (Daniel 11:39, New Living Translation, 2007)<\/p>\n

Who has the strongest fortresses?<\/p>\n

Looking further down in this chapter in Daniel, we must eliminate the King of the South, because that King is not attacked until later (the next verse). We must also eliminate those in the North and East, as they do not get involved until later (verse 44).<\/p>\n

Neither the rest of Africa\u00a0nor Latin America\u00a0has anything resembling \u201cthe strongest fortresses.\u201d The strongest fortresses belong to the United States, and to a much lesser degree, its English-speaking allies. Thus, in current times, Daniel 11:39 looks to be describing when the Anglo-English-American nations are being destroyed. Some might refer to this as WWIII.<\/p>\n

Once the USA and the other \u2018Five Eyes\u2019 are out of the way, the King of the North will likely declare that a new world order of peace has been ushered in. That is consistent with Jeremiah 6:14\u201315a, which is a warning about peace statements from one associated with abomination. …<\/p>\n

Divided with Whom?<\/strong><\/p>\n

As far as lands being divided by this leader goes, it is likely that Mexico will regain at least some of the lands it had ceded to the USA. It would seem like Russia would end up with at least part of Alaska and perhaps part of Canada. The Irish would be expected to control Northern Ireland (and perhaps other lands controlled by the United Kingdom). Some Mexicans, Russians, and Irish have called for this.<\/p>\n

Because of USA debts, a Russian professor named Igor Panarin predicted that the Europeans, Russians, Mexicans, Japanese, and Chinese\u00a0may end up dividing the land of the USA\u00a0in the 21st<\/sup> century. …<\/p>\n

The Bible, itself, teaches that the Assyrians\u00a0will be used to punish \u201can hypocritical nation\u201d (or hypocritical people, as the Hebrew can be translated as is done in Bishops\u2019 Bible of 1568) that refuses to repent:<\/p>\n

Christians all need to recall that when Jesus\u00a0came, He clearly condemned the hypocritical religious leaders of His day (e.g. Luke 11:44), more directly than he condemned the physically more obvious sinners (Matthew 9:10\u201313).<\/p>\n

This is not to say that non-Anglo-Saxon-Celtic nations do not have sin or that they will not be punished. The European Assyrians\u00a0will clearly also be punished, per Isaiah 10:12-19, but the punishment will begin first<\/strong> on those who should have known better. That is, the punishment will begin on those who have claimed to live rightly, but have repeatedly failed to do so. Those who were the people of the covenant with Israel should have striven to be faithful. Those who receive biblical blessings should not be surprised when they receive biblical curses for disobedience (cf. Deuteronomy 28:1-68).<\/p>\n

While the gospel warning message will be made fairly clear to the English-speaking peoples by the \u201cPhiladelphia Christians,\u201d prior to Daniel 11:39, because the British-American nations are not likely to heed that warning, they will have to answer for their relative lack of response (cf. Ezekiel 33:7-9) and their survivors will be taken captive (cf. Habakkuk 2:7). …<\/p>\n
