The anti-Church of God Banned by HWA <\/a> website continues to not understand nor teach the truth about a lot things. This also includes certain statements that some of those that comment there say about me, Evans Ochieng, Radson Mulozowa, and\/or the Continuing<\/em> Church of God on a nearly daily basis.<\/p>\n

This article reflects my understanding based on communications I have received and my personal observations. I am not making charges against any specific persons, only responding to allegations as they have been presented to me, as well as looking at the Bible and sharing emails I received.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Germany\u2019s Minister of Propaganda stated:<\/p>\n

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sadly, many have been taken in with lies that have often been repeated.<\/p>\n

Consider that the Bible teaches:<\/p>\n

4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
\nLest you also be like him.
\n5 Answer a fool according to his folly,
\nLest he be wise in his own eyes. (Proverbs 26:4-5)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thus, sometimes I will respond to Banned posts, though most of the time I do not.<\/p>\n

Normally the best way to fight fire is with water and the best way to fight lies is with the truth.<\/p>\n

Related to his view on the truth about some of the anti-CCOG accusations, former United Church of God Pastor John Otieno Owak sent me the following in an email this week of his opinions of some this:<\/p>\n

Hello Dr. Bob,<\/p>\n

Greetings to you. I hope you are doing well.<\/p>\n

I am writing concerning the matters that have arisen between CCOG and HOIWCOG, particularly the disputes and allegations made against Evangelist Evans Ochieng Kisiengo. I would like to clearly state, based on my direct involvement and knowledge, that these allegations are not true.<\/p>\n

I was part of the ministry from its early days and served as one of the ministers of that church from the time I was invited by the late Pastor Alexander, who knew me well. You may recall that you visited Kenya together with him in 2017. When the organization was formally established, I was among its ministers, and I was also the one who ordained Pastor T. N. when he came to Kenya.<\/p>\n

At one point, I was informed of serious allegations claiming that Evangelist Evans Ochieng was involved with witch doctors and that he had brought one from Nigeria to his home. I was even shown photographs that were claimed to have been taken in his house. However, after carrying out further investigations, the young man who claimed to have taken the photos later admitted to me that the accusations were false. He confessed that he had been forced to make those claims in order to receive financial assistance from the leadership of the said church organization.<\/p>\n

I discovered that the photos were photoshopped images taken from the internet. The young man admitted that he used his phone to send them to me while pretending they came from Evangelist Evans. Pastor T. N. was led to believe that the allegations were true. When I confronted the young man, he admitted the truth and pleaded with me not to inform Pastor T. N. However, due to the seriousness of the accusations, I felt it was necessary to clear the matter, and I informed Pastor T. N. He was deeply upset and demanded that the young man return the money he had assisted him with for school fees, or alternatively work to repay it. That matter was addressed, and I believed the issue had ended.<\/p>\n

Recently, I learned that further accusations have continued against Evangelist Evans and against you, Dr. Thiel, regarding the work of CCOG in Kenya and Malawi. From my firsthand knowledge, these accusations are false. There are more than twenty CCOG congregations currently operating in Kenya to this day. In Malawi, we were among the first pioneers who traveled there in 2016 to establish churches under CCOG. We arrived at Lilongwe Airport and were welcomed by Pastor Sosten Lubunga. From there, we traveled to Blantyre, spent the night, and later proceeded to Migowi, where members were already waiting for us. Since that time, the church has continued to grow steadily. The work has even expanded into Mozambique, where CCOG now has many congregations.<\/p>\n

Therefore, claims that CCOG has no churches in Kenya or Malawi are simply not true.<\/p>\n

Another allegation I was informed of is that Evangelist Evans receives large sums of money from you every two months,…, what truly matters is that the work of God is advancing in Africa under the leadership of Evangelist Evans. From my observation, these allegations were created to cause division and to divert donor attention toward a newly formed church organization which, following the death of its leader, has not shown growth. Many members and leaders have since left due to poor leadership.<\/p>\n

If I am able to retrieve the photos that were used to support the false claims, I will attach them in a follow-up email to further clarify the truth of this matter.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, CCOG is faithfully doing the work that God called you, Dr. Thiel, to accomplish in these end times. This work deserves our full support\u2014financially and through prayers\u2014so that God may continue to use you to complete the mission He has entrusted to you.<\/p>\n

So, John Owak wrote to me claiming that various accusations were false and based on manipulated images, though I cannot independently verify this. I met John Owak twice in Kenya and even spoke to a leader in UCG about him long ago. He and his brother Isaiah (who never was part of the CCOG) assisted in translating for me when I spoke to many church leaders in Nairobi in 2014 and 2017. While I cannot verify most of what he wrote, this is his account. But, let me also add that Evans Ochieng never has been to Nigeria, hence it was never possible for him to have brought a witch doctor back from there, anyway, despite the false reports by some.<\/p>\n

Speaking of witch doctor allegations, there is a video that came out a couple of years back where some claim it shows CCOG Pastor Radson Mulozowa at a witch doctor event. However, I watched that video to investigate and Radson was not there.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, in late 2024, a video was made with then HOIWCOG deacon John Machemba meeting with Evans Ochieng and Radson Mulozowa. In it, John Machemba stated that two leaders supposedly above him in Hope of Israel in Malawi did not care for their own church members in Malawi. Furthermore, he endorsed that the CCOG was doing a good work in Malawi.<\/p>\n

Additionally, on 1\/22\/26, let it be noted that there was a comment at Banned that the defamation lawsuit brought by Radson Mulozowa against one related to HOIWCOG was dismissed:<\/p>\n

The case … was thrown out over a year ago<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I was told that a defamation case is still active–and that a court hearing was held in Malawi today. It is possible that a decision from the court may be made this month or next after more testimony is received.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, there was a comment at Banned from one claiming to be Hope of Israel deacon Louis Wahela:<\/p>\n

Today, Louis Wahela sent me (Bob Thiel) the following email which starts off stating he did NOT make the post attributed to him at the Banned By HWA website:<\/p>\n

Let me stay that today I was with … lawyer, RADSON to present my speech as I am not the one who wrote this letter on website and I know nothing about these letters. After being asked with radson about these leatters.\u00a0 I said the same I said when I was taken to police last time that we are not aware of this together with machemba we refused in the presence of Constable Matipwiri a police officer for phablombe<\/p>\n

Dr Bob let me assure you that I know nothing and I don’t know what is the main purpose of writing these letters instead of preaching the gospel<\/div>\n
Pastor Bauleni, machemba, sister Priscilla when we were called at the police all of us refused that we are not writing<\/div>\n
What I know is that maybe T… has some issues with you which needs you to sit down and solve because I don’t see Christianity on what is happening<\/div>\n
Do you know that I do chat with Mulozowa ,meet with even communicating via phone and we were together at the lawyers office<\/div>\n
Can I say something bad against him on what grounds.for me to know the truth about Sabbath it’s because of him<\/div>\n
Last week when I was at the office of Mulozowa lawyer our lawyers was asked about the website letter that radson children went to his office to deliver there testimony against their father but our lawyer refused that he knows nothing and it has taken long period since he communicated with foster<\/div>\n

So a deacon in the Hope of Israel is 1) denying that he made an anti-CCOG post at Banned, 2) saying he regularly communicates with Radson Mulozowa, 3) he learned the Sabbath from Radson and would not have written against him, 4) that Radson’s children live with him and are not speaking against him, 5) and that various leaders in the Hope of Israel in Malawi are not associated with the negative reports about me, Radson, or the Continuing<\/em> Church of God.<\/p>\n

Anybody can claim to be anybody in parts of the internet. Since Louis\u00a0<\/span>Wahela wrote that no one from Hope is doing this, we may not know who is posting those things.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, many have believe gossip and talebearers.<\/p>\n

For years, some associated with Hope of Israel falsely claimed that I never looked into various allegations (which I did) and could not see the truth because 1) I did not want to as 2) supposedly I was under the spell of witch doctors I never met nor heard from. But the fact is that I did investigate in many ways over multiple occasions. The fact that I did not share their improper conclusions and\/or react as they wanted does not change the truth. Anyone who claims that I am supportive of witch doctors is spreading a falsehood.<\/p>\n

Can Witch Doctors Cast Spells on Christians?<\/a><\/h3>\n

Many in Africa, Haiti, the West, and various other parts of the world believe that witch doctors are powerful. Various ones have succumbed to the point they believe Christians can be cursed by them. The Bible opposes the use of witchcraft and casting spells as Deuteronomy 18:10-12 shows. Does the Bible suggest witches, palm readers, and witch doctors could be real? Is it possible that witch doctors can cast spells on Christians to blind them to something? If not, why not? Are non-Christians subject to be blinded by Satan, his demons, and those involved with the \u2018dark arts\u2019? What does the Bible clearly teach? Could the teaching that true Christians be deceived by curses from witch doctors be a \u2018doctrine of demons\u2019 that the Apostle Paul warned about in the last days? Are Christians to fear humans? Does God limit Satan\u2019s power and those of his henchmen? Will the False Prophet Antichrist perform real signs that many will fall for? Do you, if you are a real Christian, truly believe, \u201cHe who is in you is greater than he who is in the world?\u201d What can we learn regarding Job as well as Balaam and Balak? The Apostle Paul taught that true Christians should:<\/p>\n

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (1 Thessalonians 5:21, KJV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Many, sadly, have not truly wanted to \u201cprove all things\u201d or \u201chold fast to what is good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Do not be one who who listens to talebearers instead of believing the facts.<\/p>\n

The Bible teaches:<\/p>\n

20 Where there is no wood, the fire goes out;
\nAnd where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.
\n21 As charcoal is to burning coals, and wood to fire,
\nSo is a contentious man to kindle strife.
\n22 The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles,
\nAnd they go down into the inmost body. (Proverbs 26:20-22)<\/p>\n

16 You shall not go about as a talebearer among your people \u2026 (Leviticus 19:16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yet, the Book of Proverbs notes:<\/p>\n

16 The lazy man is wiser in his own eyes
\nThan seven men who can answer sensibly. (Proverbs 26:16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Many at Banned think they are wise, but many have not seemed to have been interested enough to take the time to check out the facts to be able to discern the truth over falsehoods.<\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul warned:<\/p>\n

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, (2 Timothy 3:1-2)<\/p>\n

12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:12-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Do not fall for the deception at Banned and elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Consider that in the last book of the Bible, Jesus warned:<\/p>\n

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. (Revelation 22:14-15)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sadly, many bitter and confused people seem to want to love lies.<\/p>\n

Don’t be one who “loves and practices a lie”–do not allow yourself to be “banned from the truth.”<\/p>\n

If you have been impacted by the falsehoods against the Continuing<\/em> Church of God, now is the time to change and stand for and support the truth.<\/p>\n

Do not let false accusations stop you.<\/p>\n

There were many false accusations against Jesus as well.<\/p>\n

Notice also that Jesus said:<\/p>\n

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely<\/strong> for My sake<\/strong>. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you<\/strong>. (Matthew 5:11-12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Throughout history, true prophets have been reviled and had all kinds of evil against them falsely said. So, it is no surprise the same would happen to a true prophet in the 21st century (see also 21st Century Church of God Prophets<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Jesus also said:<\/p>\n

44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, (Matthew 5:44)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those who post against the truth at the Banned site remain in my prayers.<\/p>\n

Jesus also said:<\/p>\n

45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. (John 8:45-47)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hopefully, you are of God and are one who will believe (as well as act upon) the truth.<\/p>\n
