Occupy Protesters Are Told They Can\u2019t Camp in Parks<\/h2>\n

The United States Park Police is warning Occupy DC protesters that they must stop camping at two parks by noon on Monday or risk arrest. The National Park Service<\/a> distributed warning fliers to protesters on Friday at McPherson Square on K Street and at Freedom Plaza on Pennsylvania Avenue.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/01\/28\/us\/occupy-protesters-are-told-they-cant-camp-in-parks.html<\/a><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It would not surprise me if more restrictions like this pop up.<\/p>\n

This may tend to upset protesters who may decide on other tactics or simply to ignore what the governmental authorities rule.<\/p>\n

Notice what an Occupy website<\/a> says:<\/p>\n

Occupy Wall Street<\/strong> is leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors<\/a>, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99%<\/a> that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%. We are using the revolutionary Arab Spring<\/a> tactic to achieve our ends and encourage the use of nonviolence to maximize the safety of all participants.<\/p>\n

This #ows movement empowers real people to create real change from the bottom up. We want to see a general assembly<\/a> in every backyard, on every street corner because we don’t need Wall Street and we don’t need politicians to build a better society.<\/p>\n

While current politicians do not have the answers to build the type of society that the Bible says is coming, I do not believe that the Occupy Movement, no matter how properly intentioned some of them are do either.<\/p>\n

Though it is great to want to have a nonviolent approach, it may not be that after the Winter is over that all associated with the Occupy Movement will continue to really support the nonviolent goal of some of the movement’s organizers have publicly espoused.\u00a0 Some may consider decisions, such as the one made by the D.C. parks (and other jurisdictions earlier) as proof that more than peaceful protest is needed.\u00a0 We should watch (Mark 13:37).<\/p>\n

As I have mentioned before seems that the main motivations for those involved in the Occupy protests are a combination of covetousness, political objectives, economic uncertainty, and class warfare. Sadly, many of the protesters apparently believe that they are entitled to assets that other people have accumulated. US President Barack Obama has repeatedly encouraged class warfare through his rhetoric (including his State of the Union speech a few days ago, see Obama: \u2018You Can Call this Class Warfare\u2019<\/a>) and so the “Occupy” movement is no surprise.\u00a0 I believe that if he is re-elected, that there is a good chance that Barack Obama will see protests turning increasingly violent in the future–much more so that we have already seen.<\/p>\n

Of course there is economic uncertainty for many in the USA and other lands. I am, though, certain that ultimately the US dollar will crash and be less than worthless as that is consistent with various biblical prophecies. I personally believe that, in the USA, factors such as legalizing abortion,<\/a> redefining marriage, the increasing acceptance of immodestly dressed females, trampling over religious freedom, pornography, violent sports, covetousness, and other sins are the root cause of its economic problems (cf. Deuteronomy 28:15-20).<\/p>\n

National repentance, which likely will not happen, is the only hope–and since that seems nearly impossible, personal repentance is the only solution.<\/p>\n

World revolution in a human protest movement is not the solution to the problems of the world. God gave humankind 6,000 years to develop their own systems without Him (Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?<\/a>). As this 6,000 year period gets close to ending, the only real solution is the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of His kingdom.<\/p>\n

As far as world revolution being the answer, notice what Jesus warned about:<\/p>\n

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Human effort will bring the world to the point that unless God intervened, no human would be left alive. Thus, to imply, as the Occupy website does, that their type of protests are going to solve the problems facing humankind is a vain and false hope.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The sorrows and troubles are still in the beginning stages (Matthew 24:5-8) and will get much worse (Matthew 24:21-22). I believe that class warfare and other protests will help weaken the USA, Canada, and their other Anglo-nations and may also be a factor in them being vulnerable to real warfare: invasion by the Beast<\/a>.<\/p>\n
