The war against Iran that President Trump is prosecuting alongside Israel did not begin in a Pentagon situation room. According to Rabbi Mendel Kessin, one of the most original and incisive Torah thinkers alive today, what the world is witnessing right now was written thousands of years ago as literal prophecy. In a lecture posted to YouTube<\/a> this past Friday, Rabbi Kessin laid out a breathtaking framework connecting the current American-Israeli campaign against Iran to the final redemption of the Jewish people, the fall of Haman<\/em>, the role of Donald Trump as a messianic figure, and the imminent building of the Third Temple \u2014 this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you see evil over and over, and especially the chiefs of evil fall,\u201d Rabbi Kessin told his audience, \u201cthis is no simple matter. You know what it means? It means that the Satan<\/em>, who is the defender and the motivator of all these people, he\u2019s dying. He has no power in the court in heaven.\u201d …<\/p>\n

Rabbi Kessin then turned to the Jewish calendar year 5786 \u2014 this year. The gematria<\/em> of 786 is identical to the phrase yavo Mashiach<\/em> \u2014 \u201cthe Messiah will come.\u201d …<\/p>\n

The Third Temple \u2014 This Year<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rabbi Kessin closed with what may be his most stunning claim. He cited a commentary known as the Ba\u2019al HaTurim<\/em>, who notes that the word v\u2019shachanti<\/em> \u2014 \u201cand I will dwell\u201d \u2014 from the verse in Parashat Terumah<\/em> where God says \u201cAnd I will dwell in their midst\u201d (Shemot<\/em> 25:8), contains encoded within it the duration of both the First and Second Temples. The letters of the word allude to 410 years (the length of the First Temple period) and 420 years (the length of the Second Temple). And the full gematria<\/em> of v\u2019shachanti<\/em>? 786. The year 5786.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo in 5786 \u2014 which is this year \u2014 that is actually when the Third Beit HaMikdash<\/em> will be built,\u201d Rabbi Kessin said. \u201cDon\u2019t be surprised if you wake up one day and all of a sudden the newspapers are reporting\u2026 we can\u2019t believe it. There\u2019s actually a Temple sitting on top of the Har HaBayit<\/em>, the Temple Mount.\u201d<\/p>\n

The divine presence, the Shechinah<\/em>, will descend from the heavenly Beit HaMikdash<\/em> to the earthly one \u2014 and the entire world will feel it. \u201cThat will convince everybody of the Shechinah<\/em>, the divine presence, and the Messiah,\u201d Rabbi Kessin said. \u201cAll nine billion people.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No, the Messiah is NOT coming in 2026.<\/p>\n

Speaking to a Press TV correspondent, the source referred to the US president\u2019s rhetoric over the past two days, stressing that Tehran plans to \u201csurprise him\u201d by not only stepping up its defensive measures but also carrying out several major surprises after the weekend.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s offensive operations, the source noted, have expanded with the destruction of enemy radars, adding that \u201charder days await\u201d the United States.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What did he mean by that?<\/p>\n

Is the current conflict with Iran the end of the world?<\/p>\n

No.<\/p>\n

But could it help align matters leading to the end?<\/p>\n

Yes.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because, according to the Bible, certain events must happen, and some are consistent with a conflict between Iran and Israel.<\/p>\n

For example, we are to see the confirmation of a temporary peace deal in the Middle East by a European ‘prince’ as is prophesied in Daniel 9:26-27. Such deals normally do not happen until after a conflict, such as what is happening now.<\/p>\n

Consider further that Jesus said:<\/p>\n

5 Take heed that no one deceives you. … 7… but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:5, 7b-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I believe we are in the beginning of sorrows. But the end is not yet.<\/p>\n

According to Jesus, the end does not come until after the Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a> has sufficiently reached the world:<\/p>\n

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While we in the CCOG are working towards the fulfillment of Matthew 24:14, that job is still not complete. The ‘end’ meaning the start of ‘great tribulation’ does NOT happen until a few verses later (Matthew 24:21-22)–so that is not about to happen this year.
