Continuing Church of God and the Feast of Tabernacles, 2019

The Continuing Church of God observes God's Holy Days (click here for you can click here for the calendar of Holy Days), sometimes called festival or feast days, throughout the world.

Services are to begin the evening of October 13th and continue until the Last Great Day which is October 21st in 2019.

Some website links to outside sources are in this post, but this does not mean that they are endorsed by the Continuing Church of God. They are provided as additional sources of information–and hopefully some of that information may be helpful to you and your family as you begin to make plans for the 2019 Feast of Tabernacles.

USA

St. Louis, Missouri

We have selected the The Westin St. Louis 811 Spruce Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63102 USA +1 314-621-2000 for our site in the USA.

The Westin is across from Busch Stadium.

An optional group activity is under consideration for St. Louis--the one we are leaning towards is the Saint Louis Zoo, Government Dr, St. Louis, MO 63110. Admission to the zoo is free (though you have to pay to park if you drive). But they do sell optional items (like a mini-train ride, watch certain shows, etc.). This is planned for the 16th of October.

PARKING: If they valet park your car it is $30.00 per night plus tax and tip. Self-Parking for overnight guests is free. For those who attend the Feast site, but do not stay at the hotel, we have arranged to give all who tell us in advance of the Feast, free parking stickers. So, you will want to let us know you are coming once you know.

Ethiopia

We plan to have a site in Gambella, Ethiopia. Those there came to us from a Church of God, Seventh-day background and are relatively new to keeping the Feast of Tabernacles. The same goes from those in South Sudan who also are likely to attend.

The Ethiopians and South Sudanese are quite poor and there can be health risks here (as well as anywhere in Africa we have sites). If you want to go, please contact Evans Ochieng, email evochieng74@gmail.com or Koang Deng koangdeng5@gmail.com; Koang Deng lives in Ethiopia.

If you can speak (like give sermonettes) that would be helpful.

Ghana

We have hundreds with us in Ghana. They came to us from a Church of God, Seventh-day background and are relatively new to keeping the Feast of Tabernacles.

I do not have more specific information on the site there. However, here is the email address of two contacts we have there, the leading Pastor Samuel Ofosu Gyeabour fosusamuel81@gmail.com and an elder named Osei Bonsu oseibonsu1234@yahoo.com.

Haiti

It is possible that there will be a CCOG site in Haiti.

For details, contact Nicolas Moise, email nicolasmoise348@gmail.com

India

They are thinking to have this year's Feast of Tabernacles at Moreh,  a small border trading town with Myanmar. A few rooms at the State Guest House are air-conditioned.

For more information, contact Alexsandar 'Sasha' Veljic, email aveljic@protonmail.com

Kenya

We expect to have six Feast sites in Kenya. Here is the list:

1-NDHIWA
2-CHILANI TRANSMARA
3-BOMET
4-MAO
5-NAKURU NJORO
6-MOLO

If you are not from Africa and decide to attend here, please realize that this is not a wealthy area and is not a site for those who expect various Western comforts.  However, this will be a unique experience for any who do decide to attend here. Also, African food is normally acceptable to Westerners, as long as it does not have microbes (I avoided eating raw fruits and vegetables, plus drank bottled water, when I was in Nairobi, and I never got ill).

Here is what one website says about the Ndhiwa area:

Western Kenya is a beautiful region of great geographical, agricultural, cultural and natural diversity, with many tourist activities to be explored.

The people of Ndhiwa belong to the Luo tribe, a warm welcoming community with a strong spirit despite the challenges they face. Many lack things that we take for granted such as electricity, running water, sanitation, labour-saving devices, easy transport, medical care and educational opportunities.  http://www.karibunicottages.com/

Ndhiwa expected to be one of the largest Feast of Tabernacles' site for CCOG in 2019. For more information on the sites in Kenya, contact Evans Ochieng, email evochieng74@gmail.com

Malawi

We plan to have a site in MIGOWI, Malawi. Migowi is next to Migowi Trading Centre and is located in Phalombe District, Southern Region, Malawi. According to Pastor Evans Ochieng, "it is cheap."

If you want to go, please contact Radson Mulozowa email radsonmulozowa@gmail.com or Evans Ochieng, email evochieng74@gmail.com

If you can speak (like give sermonettes) that would be helpful.

Mozambique

We may have a site in Mozambique. If not, they will go to Malawi.

It would likely be in Balaka if it is in Mozambique.

If you want to go, please contact Wedison Matiya email wedsonmatiya@gmail.com Evans Ochieng, email evochieng74@gmail.com

New Zealand

In New Zealand, we expect to have a site on the North Island. We are tentatively thinking Mt Maunganui (Not far from Tauranga where we were last year) but have not made any bookings yet.

For more information, contact John Hickey, email johnhickey705@xtra.co.nz; his mobile phone number is 021 519 441.

Philippines

Here is information on the Philippine's site:

FOT 2019 will be held in Cagayan De Oro, this year at the request of the Philippine brethren.

The Location will probably be at the Philtown Hotel in downtown Cagayan De Oro.

I will make a Booking there in the next week or two and I will keep you updated.

Kind Regards

Anthony Flavell

We plan to have Steve and Ruth Dupuie, from the USA, go to that site this year. Steve Dupuie is planning on coming to give many sermons.

Tripadvisor reports that there are 32 hotels and 228 restaurants in Cagayan De Oro. Cagayan De Oro has several museums and parks (including a waterpark).

Portugal

We agreed to have a video Feast of Tabernacles’ site in Maria Luisa beach, of Albufeira county, in Portugal. Near the city of Faro. The planned location is about a 2 1/2 drive south of Lisbon.

Services will be in English without translations into Portuguese.

If you wish to attend, contact J. Kersten. Email is joeygirl82@hotmail.com

Serbia

A Feast of Tabernacles site is being planned for southern Serbia in 2019.

At this instant, we expect this to be our only 'regular' European Feast of Tabernacles' site in 2019 (we expect a video site in Portugal).

Serbia is inexpensive by European standards.

For more information, contact Alexsandar 'Sasha' Veljic, email aveljic@protonmail.com

Tanzania

We expect to have a site in Utegi, Tanzania. For more information, contact Martin Wanga, email matinwanga@gmail.com.

Internet and Other Areas

We do have some type of services available via the internet for those who cannot get to the festival sites. Sermons, offertories, and some other items are expected to be at the Sermons link at the www.ccog.org website and probably more will be in this article.

Please obey God and keep the Feast of Tabernacles as He would want you to (see also How to Keep God's Festivals).
