There have been massive protests in Egypt in the past week that have been at least partially organized by the Muslim Brotherhood:

Egypt unrest stirs fears inside Israel

Days of protest in Egypt, ahead of elections expected to produce big wins for the Muslim Brotherhood, have stirred fears in Israel about bilateral ties and the future of the countries’ peace treaty.

Israel had largely avoided comment on the unrest, which has seen dozens of Egyptians killed, but with protesters showing no signs of calling off their demonstrations, officials here have started to show concern.  http://news.yahoo.com/egypt-unrest-stirs-fears-inside-israel-144324115.html

The Muslim Brotherhood does not wish to accept a standard secular government, but instead longs for a pro-multinational Islamic caliphate that crosses current borders.

Notice what the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to attain (this is at what is called its official website):

What is the Muslim Brotherhood?

The world’s largest and most influential Islamist movement. Founded in Egypt in 1928, the group was originally focused on ridding the country of corrupting secular influences brought by British colonial rule. Over the years, it established branches and affiliates in many countries to promote traditional Sunni Islamic morals, social justice, and the eradication of poverty and corruption. “The Islamic nation,” its charter states, “must be fully prepared to fight the tyrants and the enemies of Allah as a prelude to establishing an Islamic state”—ideally a re-established caliphate, stretching from Spain across the Middle East and Central Asia to Indonesia, to be governed according to Islamic sharia law. In addition to the goal of having an Islamic confederation, notice even now it is opposed to the USA and Israel:

What is its stance toward Israel and the U.S.?

Unremittingly negative.  (Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood. February 14, 2011. © The Muslim Brotherhood. http://www.ikhwanweb.com/article.php?id=28019)

But despite this, the Obama Administration has been supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood this year.

For years, based upon the understanding that we in the Living Church of God have concerning end-time biblical prophecy, I have warned that an Islamic confederation would rise up in the Middle East and North Africa.  And I also warned that the US president would support this:

…the Bible predicts that at the appointed time, a King of the North and a King of the South with rise. Various statements that Barack Obama has made suggest that he will implement policies that will likely help lead to the multi-national formations that will ultimately have these kings. (Thiel B.  2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect. Nazarene Books, 2009).

Notice something else in the news today:

CNN International – ‎23 November 2011

By the CNN Wire Staff (CNN) — Yemen’s president became the fourth Arab leader forced from power this year when he signed a deal Wednesday aimed at ending his country’s months-long political crisis.

Why is that relevant?  The more governments in the Arab world fall, the more nations that will likely be more inclined to support an Islamic empire.

The King of the South will rise up and the Muslim Brotherhood hopes to make its version of an Islamic empire reality. Events in the Middle East and North Africa are moving in that direction.

Watch (Mark 13:37).
