Continuing Church of God and the Feast of Tabernacles, 2026

The Continuing Church of God observes God's Holy Days (click here for you can click here for the calendar of Holy Days), sometimes called festival or feast days, throughout the world.

Information on them is in the free online book: Should You Keep God's Holy Days or Demonic Holidays?

The longest festival is called the Feast of Tabernacles (see The Feast of Tabernacles: A Time for Christians?) also called the Feast of Booths. The Jews call it Sukkot.

Christians realize that this festival helps picture the millennial Kingdom of God.

The Feast of Tabernacles begins at sunset on September 25th and runs (including the Last Great Day) until sunset October 3rd.

Some website links to outside sources are in this post, but this does not mean that they are endorsed by the Continuing Church of God. They are provided as additional sources of information–and hopefully some of that information may be helpful to you and your family as you begin to make plans for the 2026 Feast of Tabernacles.

Remember that Jesus said to seek first the kingdom of God in Matthew 6:33. To seek first the kingdom of god means that worldly things are not to come first. yet many do not heed Jesus’ words—but all should!

Furthermore, from a Christian perspective, we also realize that this pilgrimage period we call the FEAST pictures a foretaste of the millennial kingdom of god. we should all seek to observe it during this age.

Please make every effort to obey God and attend in person this year. And if that is REALLY NOT POSSIBLE (but for almost everyone it should be), then at least watch services online each day.

North America

In North America, we are looking to observe the Feast of Tabernacles in two locations in 2026.

Canada

While we do not have it totally confirmed yet, we do expect to have a site in Ontario, Canada. Probably Maple Grove. If we get a contract there we plan to announce that.

If that does not happen, but we are looking at another one as well:

Rooster Hill Ranch

Note that this is a working farm, so there will likely be noises from cattle, goats and chickens/roosters.  There is one working dog in the house that is restricted to the mud room and 3 cats (2 more outside) that are friendly.  Daily farming activities (checking/feeding critters) start around sunrise but I can start with chores away from the buildings first.

Lots of room for tents if anybody wants to “camp out”.

Room for a camper/RV if someone wants to use/bring one of those.

Nearby hotels:

Best Western Plus Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre (13 minutes)

Cardinal Court Motel (15 minutes)

Ramada (20 minutes)

Courtyard (22 minutes)

Four Points (21 minutes)

London Travel Inn (22 minutes)

And lots more…

Nearby Restaurants:

20-30 minutes from all manner of dining in London

Local Attractions:

Grand Theatre (London, 35 minutes)

Stratford (3 theatres – world class + lots of restaurants, 1 hr)

Niagara Falls (2 hr, lots of hotels there if one wanted to stay overnight and return to the farm for services)

Butterfly Conservatory (Niagara Falls, 2 hr)

Grand Bend (fantastic sunsets over Lake Huron) (1 hr)

Point Pelee National Park (most southern point in Canada) (1.5 hr)

Toronto Zoo (2.5 hrs)

CN Tower (Toronto, 2 hrs)

Royal Ontario Museum (Toronto, 2 hrs)

Royal Botanical Gardens (Burlington, 1.5 hrs)

Lots of “lesser” tourist attractions (like Parks Blueberries, various smaller theatres, etc.)

Farm-bound Activities:

Feeding critters, collecting eggs, flying kites in the hay field, nature walks in the bush or hay field, fishing in the pond, sunset watching (can be quite spectacular), fire pit/marshmallow roast (will need to get twigs from the bush earlier in the day), deer watching (evenings), feeding from the garden, bicycle riding (2 or 3 bikes, plus a couple of small child bikes), learning how to grow vegetables naturally, learning about basic chicken husbandry, making butter/yogurt, visiting a small local dairy to see where the milk at the store comes from (and maybe see how cheese is made?). BBQ on one day?

United States

For the USA we do have a contract to meet at the Thousand Hills Resort at 120 Wildwood Dr S, Branson, Missouri 65616.

What is interesting to note is that this was the only facility in Branson to respond to our request for a quote. Another item of interest is that my family stayed at this particular facility when we attended the Feast of Tabernacles in 1998.

Anyway, the cost per night (before taxes) is $99.00. This is substantially less expensive than some of the other locations we have held the Feast of Tabernacles in the United States.

Here is the booking link: Thousand Hills Resort Hotel.

You can also go on their website and put in the Group Code: 2609FESTAB and that will take you to the same place as above as well.

Of course, you do not have to stay at the Thousand Hills Resort, but many will find it convenient as well as probably the best location for fellowship.

Here is the expected schedule for services for the USA site:

Friday, September 25, 2026. Services: 7:30 pm. (7:00 pm – 9:30 pm)
Saturday, September 26, 2026. Services: 2:00 pm. (1:30 pm – 4:30 pm)
Sunday, September 27, 2026. Services: 9:30 am. (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Monday, September 28, 2026. Services: 9:30 am. (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Tuesday, September 29, 2026.  Services: 9:30 am. (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Services: 9:30 am. (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Thursday, October 1, 2026. Services: 9:30 am. (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Friday, October 2, 2026. Services: 9:30 am. (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Saturday, October 3, 2026. Services: 2:00 pm. (1:30 pm – 4:30 pm)

More information on this site is expected to be added once it is available.

Australia

We plan to have full feast site in Australia in 2026. On July 3, 2026, we signed a contract with the Ibis hotel in Brisbane. John Shackelton sent the following information about it:

Greetings Dr Thiel

I visited Ibis Styles this morning, signed the meeting room contract details of which are same as my previous copy, had a look at a sample accommodation room, and confirmed with Sales Manager anyone booking for our group should send email direct to her, not just try online etc. Quote Booking no LZASK9HETF as per appendix 1. Sales managers email is    marsha.cruz@accor.com ...

The sample accommodation room would suit Amy my wife and myself if we were travelling, but everyone can be different. Only disappointment to us would be there are no micro wave ovens in this standard room. We rarely use microwave ovens (mainly heating a quick drink) but some people do.

When we were first talking info for accommodation rooms (not negotiating for the meeting room) the details were City View Standard King A$169 per night including a buffet breakfast for 1 person. ...
Latest form shows offer, City View Superior Queen $179 per night.  At present I cannot find what the difference is between the two different rooms quoted other than  the bed size.

Their website details

Accommodation

Our property offers 367 City View and River View rooms in queen, king, twin, accessible, and balcony layouts.

I suggest members wanting to book have a good look online first, determine what room would suit them, then send an email to marsha to negotiate additional equipment desired, size of room, floor number and prices. It is a benefit to members to sign up for Accor membership (stated as free and no annuals) before contact, as supposed to be additional 10% benefit. I have not had time to try this yet. ...

Whilst the carpark (Uptown Parking) is the building next door to Ibis, and the one Ibis offers discounts for, walking entry down the footpath between the two is about 30 meters at a guess, and about 60 meters to go to the second entry through a large food mall.

So, unlike other venues we have had in the past, the Ibis does NOT offer free parking.

Therefore, those who will be having a car will need to budget for that.

Anyway, here is some information about the Isis from its website:

The Feast of Tabernacles: A Time to Learn the Law The Bible teaches that every seven years that the law should be read at the Feast of Tabernacles. This is what I did at the first Feast site were I gave an actual sermon (as opposed to a sermonette) in 2006.

Whether or not you attended in 2025, you should plan and resolve to attend in 2026 if at all possible. The Apostle Paul wrote:

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-25)

21 I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem; but I will return again to you, God willing (Acts 18:21).

Will YOU try to insure that BY ALL MEANS you will keep the coming Feast of Tabernacles next year as we see the day approaching?

It is good for you to do so.

The Feast of Tabernacles begins at sunset on September 25th and runs through (including the Last Great Day) sunset October 3rd in 2026.

Plan to attend! You should not wait until next Fall to plan to do so.
