Blood Moon prophecy 2019: Is the Super Blood Moon a portent of DOOM?

THE January Blood Moon will see the lunar orb take on a deep red hue, leading prominent Christian conspiracists to believe the 2019 eclipse is a warning sign of imminent doom – but is there anything to fear? …

A particular passage in the Book of Revelation speaks of the Moon turning red during the end times, when the Sun turns black and earthquakes ravage the Earth.

The prophetic passages about the apocalypse have led doomsday preachers around the globe to warn devout Christians an “event of biblical promotions” is brewing on the horizon.

Evangelical preacher Paul Begley from West Lafayette in Indiana, US, is a prominent supporter of the Blood Moon apocalypse theory.

The firebrand preacher dubbed the Blood Moon eclipse a “harbinger” of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

There are biblical experts who dispute this, however, and instead believe the Blood Moon is not a sign of the end times.

One of these experts is Dr Bob Thiel, of the Continuing Church of God, who told Express.co.uk the January is “not the fulfilment of biblical prophecy”.

Dr Thiel said: “The Super Wolf Blood Moon expected in January 2019 is not a special message from God.

“Years ago I denounced the view the Blood Moons of 2014 and 2015 could mean Jesus would return or the Day of the Lord was about to start.

“Those who pushed that then, as well as later, have been repeatedly proven wrong.

“While some have said this one for 2019 is significant for reasons such as being near Donald Trump’s two-year inaugural anniversary, the truth is that this naturally occurring eclipse is not a biblical message from God.”

The main reason why Dr Thiel does not believe the January lunar eclipse is a portent of doom is found in the very same biblical passages conspiracists draw their theories from.

Revelation 6:12-14 reads: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

“And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

“And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”

According to Dr Thiel, these passages prove apocalyptic Blood Moons will not appear in the night skies until after the final days of mankind begin.

He pointed towards other passages demonstrating this in Matthew 24:29-31 and Acts 2:20-21.

Dr Thiel said: “Although the Bible absolutely does prophesy events related to Blood Moons, according to the New Testament, these do not occur until well after the start of the Great Tribulation. 01/12/19 https://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/1071047/Blood-moon-prophecy-2019-eclipse-end-of-the-world-super-blood-moon-bible

The blood moons and super blood moons that we have had this century are simply a natural phenomena.

As far as Paul Begley goes, I have denounced his prophetic views multiple times.

The first time was July 31, 2011 when it was reported he felt some comet was to hit the earth later that year (see Comet Expected During Feast of Tabernacles, Will Harold Camping’s Followers Point to It?).

Then, several times Paul Begley was in the news related to blood moons expected in 2018 and 2019, which I also denounced (see Could next week’s ‘blood moon’ be a message from God? and Long ‘blood moon’ tonight: Many have been prophetically wrong about blood moons and Super Blood Moon expected next month: Are prophetic concerns justified?  and ‘Rabbinic Expert: First Super Blood Moon of the Year Sign of Earthquakes, Governments Will Fall’).

Notice the following nonsense claims from Paul Begley last month:

Will the blood moon in January 2019 signal the end of the world?

Pastor Begley points to some key Biblical passages as evidence of the end of the earth being nearly upon us.

Known as the blood moon prophecy, they include one ‘warning’ from the Book of Joel 2:31.

The passage reads: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.”

Another can be found in the Book of Revelation 6:12.

This one states: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.”

Pastor Begley said: “Is this an omen? Is this a sign of things that will happen in those following two years?

“Well, this is definitely a sign of the end times and America plays a key role in the end times.

Where can you watch January’s blood moon?

January’s blood moon will be visible from the United States, South America, western Europe and Africa between January 20 and 21.

In London, UK, the total eclipse will begin at 4.41am on January 21. 12/03/18 https://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/1053774/blood-moon-eclipse-2019-lunar-eclipse-next-end-of-the-world-bible-prophecy-conspiracy

No, it is not possible that the world will end in 2019 or that January 21 blood moon is more than a natural phenomena. The scriptures Paul Begley referred to are NOT fulfilled until well AFTER the start of the Great Tribulation.

To see if that is possible in 2019, check out the video: Might the Great Tribulation start in 2019?

Years ago, I denounced the view that the ‘blood moons’ of 2014 and 2015 could mean that Jesus would return or that the ‘Day of the Lord’ was about to start. This was something that Mark Biltz (who practices Messianic Judaism) started promoting back in 2008–but he was wrong. I also denounced the super blood moon prophetic nonsense in 2018 and am also now denouncing the super blood moon prophetic nonsense for 2019.

So, before the next ‘super blood moon occurs, I again want to inform people that this eclipse is a natural phenomenon and not anything that is a direct message from God.

Because there are many false and heretical leaders that lead people astray on prophecy and sometimes they mention the Bible to try to act like God sanctions their nonsense, they should be denounced as false.

All should REALLY pay attention to the Bible.

We in the Continuing Church of God “have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).”

Thus, you can be certain that the upcoming ‘super blood moon’ is not a message from God next month.

Blood Moons, Eclipses, and Prophecy There were four ‘blood moons’ expected in 2014 and 2015. Some claimed that they signaled the Day of the Lord or the return of Jesus Christ. I denounced that view in advance. Some later pointed to a solar eclipse in 2017–is that a ‘sign from God’? What about the ‘Super Blood Moon’ of 2019? While the Bible tells of a destructive power called ‘Wormwood’ will come from outer space to destroy much of the Earth in Revelation 8, can Wormwood hit by 2017? Dr. Thiel explains from the Bible why Wormwood could be a comet and why the Bible and not those who misinterpret it should be trusted. This is a video.
